We are leaving the boat today for 2 nights in Bucharest. Today we have a city tour by bus with a group lunch before we get to our hotel. There is a farewell tour at what the men call βnot another palace.β The majority are anti dress up π

Had fun yesterday. She had AC so it felt WARM when I got home and stayed hot through the night in spite of having the fan on. Today hubby is off to Beirut and I am home sitting under the fan. I had breakfast at 6am (went to bed early) and lunch at 10...wonder if it is going to be a four meal day or???
What I can do:
* hydrate * eat when hungry * be happy * stay cool

Good morning, Audrey - Cathy - and AWF!
Prayers continue... esp for our ailing posters & Loved Ones... and those under particular stress... and {{{HUGS}}}... and thankYouThankYouTHANKYOU for your prayers for me and my family...
Extra prayers for all our posters & Loved Ones with medStuff going on this week...
And more prayers for those in the midwest affected by the wicked weather...
πΏπΉπΏπΉπΏπΉπΏπΉπΏ
60* now, 70*s later; showers, rain, strong storms, T-storms... nothing like the threats in the midwest, but bad enough for around here.
DivaTaxi is off-duty (Son#1 WFH). MHMR start time is moving 15 minutes earlier (DSonIL wants to get to his new job a bit earlier). The Kressling has a soccer game scheduled for tonight but the weather may put the kibosh on that. DDIL is off; her last day of work is supposed to be next Thursday. Last day of sales is 5/29 and cleanup/key return is 5/30 (Payless Shoes).
MousekeTWO seems all better and will head back to preschool today. MissMouse had a meeting with the principal, teacher, and Mouseketeer yesterday morning. He knows all his work (confirmed by his teacher), he is bored, and he expresses his boredom loudly and clearly. And his teacher's idea of "enrichment" has been to hand him another worksheet <!!!>. He is 8 yrs old, so it's time to look for coping skills... and perhaps better "enrichment"...
The Support Our Troops Rally went well last night. The Kressling carried the American flag (the color guard stood for about 90 minutes and the flags are heavy in their harnesses) and overall the YM acquitted themselves well. DDIL brought the Zigster to watch (Son#1 had K'ling2 at soccer practice) and they didn't recognize me in my YM staff uniform <!!!>. Toots walked over to watch, and after the Kressling changed and went home with Mom we ended up at Burger King for supper.
I got all my errands taken care of yesterday, including getting a frame for a picture that the Mouseketeer drew, and returning the two dresses to Dress Barn that rated lower on the Toots-O-Meter than the one I wore at Woodloch. Today may be grocery day, but only if we want to eat...
I need coffee... βββ...
πΏπΉπΏπΉπΏπΉπΏπΉπΏ Have a healthy-eating day, all. πΏπΉπΏπΉπΏπΉπΏπΉπΏ

Good morning Audrey Cathy MJ and AWF. Thanks for getting us started, Audrey. Enjoy your bus trip today and LOL to the men that are 'anti dress-up' I'll add Carl to the mix Cathy I know what you mean. Sometimes when I eat early it's a 4 meal day for me....so long as you choose wisely you'll be all set. Great goals. MJ happy to hear that mousektertwo is feeling better. I would love to see the YM Glad you enjoyed. Right now our weather is holding...no sunshine but no rain. Not sure when the rain is going to hit. I'm hoping not till later in the evening. Depending on weather, we may or may not make a BJ's club run today. Waving and wishing all a pleasant and OP day.

Good morning!
Audrey Thx for getting us started! Enjoy your time in Bucharest. LOL. . . "The not another palace" & "anti dress up"sentiments-- somehow those sentiments seem incompatible w/ a river cruise of the Danube.
Cathy Good plan in place for an OP day despite the heat and earlier start. Sometimes we have those "wonky" eating days. Could you make the third meal more like a protein based snack? That would have been hard on most bodies to adjust from AC coolness to only fan driven air in the summer's heat. Myself, I have never really liked AC. I run ours to make my DH comfortable, otherwise I would not have it on much at all.

Mj So sorry that your DDIL is one of those impacted by the PayLess closures. Will add her to my prayers. Hope that there will be a silver lining for her. Have often thought that if I were a young parent w/ reliable grandparents, opening a daycare or babysitting might be an option. Best wishes to your SIL as he starts his new job. Great job by the YM flag group. Your heart must swell w/ pride. So funny that the kiddos did not know what to make of your uniform.
Ann I bet that BJ will be crazy in the afternoon. Everyone at our local Sam's seems to out buying in bulk for picnics, graduations, baby showers, bridal showers, and wedding receptions. I can not say much, GFS, had screaming buy on Coke products, 12 packs for $2.50, limit 8. I bought some Diet Coke for Canada.

Read yesterday's personals. Thx so so much for your many loving and kind words. I am blessed by your friendship. Some life events plus birthdays & anniversaries do tug at my heartstrings. I usually distract myself and/or shed a few tears, then move on.
Had a super busy day that bled into a super busy night. Today will be about working on a more balanced approach.
Thursday's goals Eat a healthy breakfast. Will likely have a vegetable omelette. Bake that turkey breast w/ healthy sides for dinner. Yard work or housework-- take your pick. Both need my attention. π
Waving "hi" and wishing everyone a healthy, happy TH!

Mawnin' ALL!
Today I am WILLING and AWARE.
We will soon have our second spillway in south La. opened which may cause some flooding to areas near me. There has just been so much rain and snow in the mid-section of or country this year.
Oldest DD is here today to celebrate her 61st birthday. She wants liver and onions --- beef and chicken.
Hope AWF have a good day.

Ann Probably best that the dentist sent the partial back to the lab. Hope that does the trick! Am like you, I have a grab bag of coping skills-- a walk, a visit, errand running, quiet time, and so. They help.
Becky Thx for your prayers. They help. That is so very frustrating... how hard is it to return a patient'scall or keep them updated? Could your insurance company offer any alternatives? contact the dr's office for you?
Susi Thx! I appreciate your support. Yesterday must have been hectic for you likewise or I just missed your second post...
LaDonna Yes, I remind myself how fortunate I was to have spent 331/2 years w/ Joan. This semester I had fraternal twins in my class. Seeing there connection and talking to them about their interests was one the highlights of my semester. Am glad that you will have a long weekend after a busy week at work & after work. Do you have extra week at school b/c of the holiday, the end of school, and/or both? Are you having a BBQ or oyster cookout this weekend?
Pam Glad that you are feeling better. Haha ha... I completely understand the need for an egg & banana run until you get to the store or stores to really shop for groceries.

Bee j That has been scary how much rain has plagued the Midwest & SW. Hope that the timing and release of the water minimizes the flooding. Enjoy your DD's visit! Ha ha ha.. have nothing good to say about liver and onions. But I am a plain-Jane eater.
Becky I forgot to share this above. Fairbanks mild weather stood out to me b/c it did not fit w/ the idea ofAlaska. I Lwaysmeant to fact check that tidbit.

Does DDIL have something else lined up or will she stay home for a while? She agreed to stay to the end (bonus involved) and then will file for unemployment. She wants to be back to work by August/September. Although she's got a degree in business, all her experience is retail - management, but still store-based. She put out some resumes in the first few weeks after the phase-out was announced but those jobs turned out to be more like cold-call selling than office work.

Popping back in again. June I totally forgot about this being a 'holiday weekend' That's what happens when you are retired LOL. Nothing I need badly enough to get caught up in traffic or crowded stores. We'll wait and go Tuesday or Wednesday. Our weather is nice now...sun is out. We are going to get rain, but not until later in the day. Yes I'm happy that the dentist is sending the partial back to the lab. That way, hopefully, it will be 'one and done' when it comes back. If not, I guess I move on to plan B...there is always a plan B lol. I agree...the weather has been nuts all over the place. It's pretty sad when weather in southern California is colder than in New England!!!! I feel for those with the heavy rain and snow. Bee happy bday to oldest DD. Enjoy the day Susi, here's to an easier day for you. Time to get a move on. I have piles of laundry to plow through.......
