Thirsty Thursday... Not doing well at ALL on my water these days! UGH!! I have gone back to Diet Soda more than I am happy about... not more than 1 a day, I guess, but I was doing so GOOD without it... I need to get back to my water - tea - seltzer... with it being better weather I am not as "drawn" to my 3 mugs of tea a day/night... so I am missing out on a LOT of "liquid" right there!! So my ONE AND ONLY GOAL TODAY - Is to DRINK 100 oz of liquid! I am "working" my first 22 oz now, but gotta tell ya' water on an empty stomach these days isn't "fun"! I will make sure it is gone before I head out to work... but maybe not ALL gone before my coffee! LOL
Well I WORKED IT WEDNESDAY all right... not for weight loss - but for "work-work"! I got a full 9 days of ATM Settlement DONE - BAM! YAY! Of course I still have a lot to go - but at this point, I am setting my sights on getting to the end of April TODAY! I got my usual "morning" work done - "helped" Kaitlin - with a few things that had happened while she was out... then asked Josh if I could use Crystal's office... yup, I didn't even shut the door - but just having a DESK to lay my work out - and just DO IT... worked... I was in there about an hour and a half, got those 9 days done - "struggled" a bit, since a couple of branches "switched up" their balancing procedures - while I was out... and no one told me... BUT anyway... I got that figured out and now I am feeling like I am ON A ROLL!! I hope to finish April by today at 2, but I also have GLs to get the weekly report out - so who knows... all I KNOW is that I feel better getting a handle on that!
ANYWAY... let me grab coffee and be back to catch up ♥

Good Morning ~ I need to focus on Thirsty Thursday too - more water is needed here I am only getting close to 90 oz of water - I don't count sparkling water or coffee - I must say I have done well with no Diet Coke - but once a week or so I like to treat self to one mostly to get out of the school for a short break and change of scenery. I eat lunch daily at my desk so I rarely feel guilty for stepping out for a short break. Yesterday went well - will finish my MFP tracker for today - I have been having Greek plain yogurt w/blueberries for Breakfast, fresh spinach, cucumbers, strawberries with a dash of o/v, and side dish 2 oz tuna for lunch, counted out organic tortilla chips for a snack with sparkling water (I like tangerine lime), 1 oz unsalted almonds throughout the day, and 1 Premier Protein shake to prevent the grazing when I first get home. I have been determined to walk each day after work too. I suppose I need to make this a daily practice lol

Christine: I am still so totally impressed that you are tracking so mindfully! SO what have the losses been?? I was down a couple # yesterday - then had Mexican for dinner! LOL There goes that loss!! FLUSHING TODAY!
Yes... I was impressed and thankful that she just came to work and got it done! I also noticed she was quieter on the phone than usual, so maybe she was complaining about something to others - Don't care... it is what it is... and that's that! She did share with me that Josh didn't seem "happy" with her calling him on SUNDAY to let him know she would need another day! Oh well!
UGH.. pool... can't even go there....
As for Ken's to do list - HA! Nope... Let's see... Monday he had a dental appointment, so that took pretty much ALL DAY! LOL Not really, but he came home from that and (only) got 1/2 the electrical done, so I still can't get that part wall taken care of! Then of course he got the call they were coming for the pool - so he had to quickly get the filter and pump "ready"... Tuesday he mowed the lawn! String trimmed too... it does look nice, but (again) took all day! Yesterday was a total loss of a "work" day, as the pool guys came... found more "wrong" than just the liner! UGH! Good news is we had lumber laying around - from our old deck - so they used that instead of ordering a $500.00 piece of metal from the pool company! Between the $500.00 for the piece of metal and another $800.00 for them to come back out to install and then do the liner... they were good sports about using the pressure treated wood - and got it done!NO extra charge! When I got home around 3, they were dumping the first load of water... I cried... the water they are dumping is BROWN - looks like MUDDY RIVER water... so depressing... thought this was going to be THE YEAR of clean water from the get-go... but no... made me angry and sad... still makes me cry just to see it! Anyway... today one of the guys will come back and he & Ken will make three more trips with that dirty UGLY water... so I am sure nothing else on Ken's "to do" list will get done!! Apparently one of the firemen borrowed the pump we usually use - to get water from our brook across the street... and there wasn't much water in the little brook... I am not able to go dam it up like I have done in the past - so we settle for muddy water, and Ken will figure out how to get it CLEAN for swimming... MAYBE by 4th of July we will have a pool to use!?! I know, I am being dramatic... I am sure it will be fine... Tracy will take water to be tested today (maybe) and we can see what we need to get the water clean - clear -bright - and ready to swim!
OK Sorry that was not the short answer to your question!

Yesterday was a decent day at work- emotional for many as we sort out the how's and why's of DL promoting more to her "Administration Team" with absolutely no qualifications or certificates. I just shake my head and listen as others come to me to vent. One of my closest confidantes is the school nurse - we have worked closely together the last 10 years. She just found out she was hired at a school district closer to her home! I'm thrilled for her and have encouraged her to GO!
Rejection letter arrived yesterday from one of the school district's - I had applied for Supervisor of Mental Health team. It was a good fit - or so I thought - and took me a LONG time to gather the thick amount of documents just to apply. I laughed when I opened the rejection letter - I really don't know WHAT else to do. I am disappointed to not even get a chance to interview.
If anything the letter was at least proof to DH that I AM trying here...
Another day - I am going to focus today on being positive, smile, and not feed into any negativity around me. Too much energy there!

Carole - sounds like the work is well underway for filling the pool. I am not a pool owner, so forgive my limited knowledge, but what do other folks do to fill their pool? Use water from their house with a garden hose? I know my DSIL has a very large pool and I should ask her?? I do know they use a 'solar cover' and the pool is usually warmed up along with their heater to use it. I would be very disappointed like you with seeing muddy water in freshly lined pool! Ugh. Does that indicate sediments settling in the bottom that will need vacuumed out? Glad you had a very productive day at work yesterday!! YAY!!
LOL here...nope, not much #down at all since tracking faithfully. Today Flyby was back up. Legs feeling very heavy swollen, puffy but review of my tracker says I'm under the daily recommended sodium intake, at least for last few days. So that's good. I'm just moving forward here...
Sue - jump in when you can. We understand how busy you are -
Gabrielle - hoping your Boston trip is going well!!
Lisa - good for you guys for hitting the Memorial Day flowers/cemetary. We'll be doing yard work this weekend around here - those nasty storms you mentioned are due here at midmorning!
Shelly - ugh to more acid reflux. I am so sorry you continue to struggle with that...
Over and out here - running late...WAVES

Not sure what our weather is supposed to be this weekend... but planning a cook out - and a BD celebration for our Jaclyn! So rain or shine we will have a party on Monday!!
Oh Dear... Christine... HOW do you do it every day?? To think they are eliminating YOUR job? I'd love to be a fly on the wall if they do! WHO the HELL do they think will do all you DO?? Sure as heck not the Prince... he can't deal with parents... if left to him the school won't have any students to fill it! UGH So when IS this big move planned? YOU my dear simply AMAZE me that you can even go there any more... {{{hugs}}} ♥
OK So how is DH "settling" in to his new job/promotion? Is he finding it not as bad as he thought it would be?? Is it going to be a "permanent" move for him? Talk was that it would be temporary... has that changed?
This is your mulch weekend right?? DO you wear a knee or back "brace" at all when doing all that work?? I think I am going to have to learn to live with the bad back - it will never go away - but need to be able to DO things without worrying that I am going to do something that can't be fixed!
Sue: I think the jars (painting) is my favorite now!! Between that and the beach bike... I love them both!
OH yes... isn't it time consuming to do double reds? I hate the time it takes... but know they need it... try to sit there and read to not think about the time I am "wasting"... but not truly wasting as it is a good cause! Thanks for the reminder - it may be time to schedule my next one!
Lisa: YAY for going for that drive... Ya' know I was thinking the same thing... years gone by - I helped my Gram & Gramp put flowers on every relatives grave that they could. We would take a Sunday drive, to so MANY cemeteries... always planted a geranium... oh and I also would take an evening drive with Grampa to put flags out for the veterans in about 6 local cemeteries... anyway... my sisters still make a trip to RI to place flowers at my grandparent's graves... and the local graves for my folks and grandparents... but yes, the media seems to make it all about remembering the veterans - while I was growing up it was a day to remember everyone who had passed.
So glad you had a nice day for a drive.
{{{hugs}}} I hope Greg can get his ankle working well again - does he do PT or anything to help that along?? Sorry you have probably said - but I don't remember...
OH how fun for DD and family... what part of TX? Do they have friends there? Or just a vacation destination??
Good job using MFP... takes some "learning" but so easy to track! Maybe I'll see if I remember my password for it today! LOL Speaking of passwords... we have a small address book - we pretty much keep all passwords in there... IF anyone wanted to come in and use our computers, they would have to think to use the address book for passwords! HA!
Sue: RUH ROH... hope today is easier for you {{{hugs}}} Hope you slept well enough to be ready to tackle the day!
Shelly: Oh dear... sorry for the news at the dental checkup... Ken has been having a tough time with his oral health too! Hoping you can find something to help with acid reflux... the Digeze oil isn't working??
OMGosh NO do NOT get a pool! LOL For all the work they are - IMHO they are not worth it! Between the expense of chemicals... the time to maintain it... the cost of maintenance... UGH... we will most likely never be without one (as long as we live here) but we will have a smaller more manageable one the next time this one has an issue! I refuse to work with this ONE company that comes to work on ours again! This is the only company that can work on this brand pool in the state of MA... I told Ken I will move heaven and earth before I have him come here again!!
LOL "WARM" Up?? Well in my opinion it never warms up to where I want it! LOL We used to be able to maintain around 78-80 degrees, but with the trees overgrown (neighbors) we do not get the sun like we used to so it does not warm up "enough" for me to use much! I am a warm water person I guess!
Oh dear... yes I do "get it"... I am still paying the cc for Matt & Patti's kitchen... they had taken over the payments (my card) but then Patti lost her job... so... now they are getting back on their feet after her being out of work - so hopefully they can take that over soon - and THEN when it is paid off, they can then pay ME! LOL That will be a nice "bonus" for me!
LOL I think the whole country has gone BI-POLAR! This weather HAS to get better soon!!

Morning Christine... OK Yes, let's focus on that extra glass of water! My 22 oz here is almost gone... I do count my hot green decaf tea... especially the 2nd cup, when I use the same bag! LOL It's almost just hot water by then! I don't blame you for stepping out of your office once in a while - I think If I had your office... and your atmosphere - I'd be outside a LOT!
WOW You have an awesome tracker there... and the walk every day... YAY!! I need to follow your example!
Oh dear... OK So the teachers come to you to "vent" about NOT getting the promotions they most likely deserve... and you listen... offer encouragement... without sharing YOUR own grievances... UGH... {{{hugs}}} you still amaze me ♥ YAY for the school nurse... yes if anyone can get the heck out they better - who knows how long DL will keep them around!!
Aw, sorry about the rejection letter - NOT sure how you remain positive... another of your traits I need to follow... this negativity I am feeling every single day has to stop!! I wake up feeling "negative" and go to bed feeling the same way!!
I am not sure how people fill pools anymore... the closest place that hauls fresh CLEAN water is about 1 1/2 hours away, and $400.00 per load, we would need 3 loads to fill our pool! I know our neighbor doesn't have to add as much water yearly as we do... the type pool we have - tells you to lower the water level before closing. We do have a solar cover - no heater... I WISH! LOL The solar blanket does help keep the more level temps, by not cooling down each night. However - our neighbors trees are blocking my sun! LOL IF we get a new pool - when we get a new pool... it will be relocated as well... so it will be in the full sun most of the day. Sadly our patio is under most of those darned trees as well - so no need for umbrellas on our tables! There that's a positive! LOL
Anyway... Yes DH is "hoping" the sediment will settle and vac out... just going to be a daily chore, and I just can't do it! I cannot vacuum a pool that I can't even see the bottom! UGH!
We'll see how this plays out... my sisters DO offer to help, but they don't "remember" the how to - so each time it's kind of a lesson - which means it really is easier to do it ourselves!
So yes... it's just so depressing to see all this time and money - and be that dirty brown!
OK ENOUGH about that!
Again - so impressed you are tracking so faithfully with not much result... however... we all know the scale is NOT the best indicator of how you are doing... how do you FEEL??? Aside from the swollen legs... I applaud your commitment to walking too!
OK Time to get myself moving... should have been up and at 'em already - but oh well... here I go... ♥hugs♥

Morning all....not sure I could get much more spread out this week...so looking forward to a long holiday weekend!
Tonight is Kindergarten Open House for Jackson....it will be fun but takes one more night out of my week!
I think I have finally gotten Amy's "aftermath" cleaned up as best I can....will be glad to see that nightmare go to someone else! Have a few more crazy weeks ahead as Sherry is on vacation the 1st week in June and then has her gall bladder out the following week. She will only be out a couple days with that surgery but will be needing to keep up with here invoice/PO processing while she is off. By that time Amy's crap will be moved to the NH plant so it won't be too bad. Paul will do some of her work and another co-worker will do the paper orders. I'm glad I didn't have to learn that "on the fly"....I don't know paper well at all and Julie is a planner so she knows paper!!
Strawberries are finally in....have been enjoying them the past couple days! I will miss them when they are gone....hopefully we will have plenty to freeze this year to enjoy in the winter with my yogurt!
Speaking of yogurt....I'm going to attempt to make yogurt in my IP this weekend! I've heard it's really easy and is great! Will let you know!
WTG Christine on your continued tracking and walking! Sorry for the rejection letter you got....frustrated is an understatement....not sure how you "keep it together" with the work chaos!
YAY Carole for getting caught up at work....sorry Ken's list is still pretty full and bummer about the pool water....hopefully it will be clean LONG before the 4th of July!
Sorry no more personals....haven't had a chance to read the past couple days!
Hoping to maybe FaceTime with Hannah tonight when we get home....they finally landed in Omaha yesterday morning at 10:30am....I know the boys had to have been excited to see them when they got home from school! I've missed our "screen time" the past 2 weeks!
Will pop in when I can....have a great day all!

Good morning! I am up and at'em because I tried my air conditioner in my car yesterday and got nothing but hot air. I hope that it just needs charged, but since my fav small business repair shop doesn't take appointments, it is best to get in there when they open at 7:30 so that's my plan. Always something!
Carole-yay for a productive day yesterday. I am needing to improve my water intake, so that will be my goal today. Can the water be filtered and/or cleared up some with chemicals? I don't know anything about it, other than telling you that the town we lived in before had water coming out of the facet like that without a water softener. Maybe ask around to other people in your area who have pools, or even Google research it?
Christine-yes I applaud your tracking too. It isn't the method I use, it is just taking the few minutes to do it before the end of the day so I know where I am before evening. Sorry about not getting the job, it seems hard these days. DS who is an hourly at the U of I just had one from a county job.
Sue-glad the work is cycling somewhat but it is always hard picking up more when someone is out. I bet you can't hardly believe that Jackson will be in kindergarten.
ok I still need to dry my hair and finish coffee and grab something to eat to take with. Not nearly awake yet!
DS is trying a keto diet, I'll have to ask him how that is going.
BBL!

Well they couldn't find any leaks so they put some dye in and I take the car back in next week. At first it was putting out cold air but then it turned warm. Hope they can find the leak or whatever next week.
Got several big limbs picked up from last night's storm. Trying to DH to go to A Dogs Journey.

Crazy weather here in OK. Tornados 🌪 are on the ground north of us. Was worried for a bit that it might go in the direction of where our store is but thank goodness it was northwest of it. I think we are in the clear for now but could have storms hit again middle of the night. So there was a half mile wide tornado on the ground for a while. Sitting here watching TV and they are watching 3 storms that have circulation in them. So far no town has had a direct hit but some country houses have been damaged.
Carole I’m with you on struggling as I do every day!!! Not to good on water today and definitely not on food choices. Had cookies today ðŸ¤. Good job getting so much done at work!!! Seems like I’ve had a hard time getting anything done lately. I’ve been trying to work a schedule for the last 4 days and still don’t have it done. Thank goodness I am a week ahead of usual.
Christine 90 oz water is great!!! I seldom get more than 60ish. Looks like you are doing pretty good with your nutrition. I have got to start trying again!!! Keep up the good work and maybe I can follow your example.
Carole oh no!!!!! So sorry about the pool. So what was they able to use wood for to fix it? Glad you was able to save money and use the wood instead of waiting on some metal to fix the problem.
I’m so sorry Christine about the letter you received. I keep hoping you will finally get the news you’ve been waiting for. Yes it does show DH you are trying but you are doing all you can. I know it’s hard but I have faith something is just waiting for you.
Carole I need to get some more digize. I am bad about using my oils at times. When I have a prescription I have a tendency to just use the prescription.
Oh yes when I here about ppl with pools I am glad we have never had one as far as dealing with cleaning and up keep. Yes I would like the pool but not the up keep.
I am hoping the dentist can fill my tooth without any issues. I am so tired of going to the dentist and having to have more work. I mean after going every 4 months you would think it would get better.
Oh yes Carole it gets really hot here. We get 100+ for way to many days. What is your average summer temps. I would be happy with high 70’s low 80’s.
Sue my DS makes yogurt in her IP. She loves it and makes it often. Hope you like as much as she does.
Lisa hope you got your car air conditioner fixed. Ugh I couldn’t go without it.
Ok looks like weather is calm for nOw and need to get to bed.
