Found a penny yesterday in the garage and picked it up. It was an ordinary day and I consider that lucky. It would have been luckier had I won the lottery. I made a date nut bread and just finished my workout. I am going to make an egg salad in a little bit. Karen, I hope the new insoles work. Congratulations to Dale on picking his retirement date. Your box of veggies sound delightful. We are going to the 2nd Street Market on Saturday to see if there are any farmers there yet. I hope you enjoy Osteo and your last massage. Kathy, I heard a Florida alligator story this morning on the radio. The alligator was on a pool float shaped like an alligator. Alligator float
Becky, did you do any walking this morning? We had wind and rain this morning and are expecting more during rush hour this evening. How is Scooter and her ear coming along? Linda, when do you get the results of your calcium test? Liz, I hope you are having good weather and have worked the kinks out with some nice relaxing. There is a series on Netflix called Bruno about a Brooklyn man and life with his puggle, Bruno. I haven’t watched it yet but it looks like my cup of tea. What’s not to like about Brooklyn and a dog?

I still have echocardiogram (ultrasound) june 7. so I get results June 19. they are not in any hurry as it is baseline risk assessment for the future and darned hard to get any earlier appointments wihout emergency. It gets easier here once the snow birds go home from the heat.
Congrats to Dayle in retirement soon.
Saw that alligator photo..funny...if it isn't your pool.
egg salad sounds good. I am actually making a roast turkey half breast today while it is still cool weather!
Saw season six of Endeavor this week...starts sadly but ends great. We get British dvd...special player since DZh was a language teacher. It starts on PBS mid June. Endeavor is the young Inspector Morse
Weather is nuts here too. Lot of rain in the wee hours.59 this morning. 20 degrees under norm. Good today for graduation all over the area this evenin

Chele, I found a penny on the ground at my last stop of the day. I consider it lucky that I made it home in one piece. It's coming up on a holiday weekend and the crazies are out in full force already. Enjoy your date nut bread. Is it a Zo recipe? I guess the gator float was the perfect size. This is an animal DB and family are going to have to get used to seeing at their new locale. They have 2 Yorkies, so I hope they don't go where they could be in harm's way. It's been an egg week for you, hasn't it? If your temps are like ours, it's a perfect egg salad day. We'll see on Tuesday whether the insoles will work or whether I'll just have to trash the entire pair of shoes. I have a couple of others I could wear but these are the most supportive, which is great on the AMT. I hope you have a few farmers on Saturday but it may still be a little early. We wouldn't have this variety of veggies if the primary farm in our CSA didn't have indoor growing facilities so they pretty much grow year round. I'll have to see if Netflix has Bruno available on DVD. Sounds like one I would like. Secret Life of Pets 2 is coming out this weekend I think. Hope the 2nd one is as hysterical and the 1st one was. Definitely no hurry on your tests, Linda, with them being baseline only. You certainly don't want to have an emergency, so waiting for the appointment isn't a huge deal. Enjoy the turkey. You are definitely having crazy weather. Do they have indoor or outdoor graduations? My HS graduation was outdoors at a big amphitheater and we had perfect weather. Masters was outdoors in the shadow of the infamous tower at the University of Texas. Creepy but good weather. Kathy, we're closing in on 90 again and I was a human sweat ball when I got home. Yes, I could have used the AC but we had a really nice breeze most of the time. What's on your agenda for the holiday weekend? What's up with Scooter, Becky? Did you get the probiotic powder you ordered? Is she still getting the new treats? Are you going to get her Frosty Paws again this year? I found cherries on sale today and they look really nice. I'll have some tomorrow. I also found blackberries on sale again. Liz, I hope you're having an amazing time and the pups are behaving. Osteo was ok. I never know when I go there if I'm going to hit a new record or just have a so-so day. Today was kind of so-so. The massage was good and my extra 10 minutes receptionist was there, so I got my money's worth. Stopped at Earth Fare on the way and Publix on the way home, along with the bakery outlet for burger buns for Dale. I also swung past Aldi to pick up tomato cages cheaper than the co-op has them (when they have them). Got home about 3 and I'm tired. I think it's trying to acclimate to the heat that is just wearing me down. Nothing special planned for the next 3 days. Dale is going to a shooting match in Asheville on Saturday that was started by one of his long time shooting buddies who has been in a nursing home for the last year or so. One of the guys was going to take video and take it to the nursing home for the guy to see. Unfortuantely, the guy died on Sunday at the age of 91. He was quite a character. Military veteran turned firefighter and retired as a fire captain. He's one of those guys you wouldn't have hesitated to follow into a fire (assuming you were also a firefighter). After the shoot Dale will be stopping by Rosetta's Kitchen to bring home dinner and to get my Buchi kombucha bottles refilled. My entree will probably take 3 days to finish off, given the portion sizes. It'll be good, though. Neither of us has ever had anything there that was even mediocre. Always excellent.

Chele, my DS has one of those floats! I'm guessing gator wrangler isn't a job description you see in Ohio. Meanwhile, we had another bear sighting in the neighborhood. A large black bear was seen around 8:45am walking along the sidewalk a few houses down from me. There are some wooded areas to the north of me that have recently been developed, so I think a lot of wildlife has been displaced. And they still want to build that mega development to the east of here. It keeps getting voted down, but they the developers just regroup and bring it back again. I know what you mean about an ordinary day being lucky, although that winning lotto ticket would've been nice.
Linda, I'll have to check out Endeavor.
Karen, I think this is gator mating season, so they're out and about more than usual. They usually stay out of the way of people, but your DB definitely shouldn't let the Yorkies run around outside. Will they be near any inland water or closer to the beach? You are hardier than me if you can resist turning on the AC when it's 90 outside! We're having about the same temps here, but the humidity is low for us. It doesn't feel as stifling as the hot, humid summer weather. Congrats to Dale for setting a retirement date. I'm amazed that he has insurance options through an employer.
Waving to Becky and Liz.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele I did not walk on the road. With the wind being higher the last couple of days it hurts too much so I have been doing the recumbent bike the last 2 days plus a little walking in HEB and WM today but mostly just shopping after the oil change on my SUV was completed.I hope you enjoyed your egg salad.
Karen You are lucky getting berries on sale.At HEB today I noticed there was very little difference in price between raspberries and blackberries.Scooter's ear seems to be doing much better and she hasn't gotten sick to her tummy in a while now.The probiotic powder did arrive yesterday.I'm not going to give it to her every day but now and then or every other day.I put it on her food this morning and added some water.I read online where some people do that to make like a gravy and she loves it that way.She doesn't have new treats.I just bought her a new Kong toy to put her regular dog treats in.I did buy her some Frosty Paws for her bd but they are peanut butter and since that is partly what bothers her tummy I threw them out. They have a new dog ice cream not called Dogster. It's got like a caramel tint to it and she loves it.They cost less and they are in a little smaller container. They are just a little over 100 calories per treat. We are supposed to have highs in the low 90's everyday for the next 7 days.Good for Dale deciding on a retirement date.
After much calling I am finally getting my knee injections next Thursday later in the afternoon. They have been delivered to his Austin office yesterday then they evidently couldn't find them but they finally did.I have never dealt with such unprofessional office staff. It's a good thing it's one shot in each knee because I won't go back to see him again.
Liz I hope you are enjoying your vacation.

Yea, Becky,at last!
day did not go as planned, which was pulling weeds and straightening out the garage supplies of paper and stuff while still cool. Wind knocked down the whole overgrown wall ine of creeping ficus I was behind in trimming.Other side of the wall, the yard guys cut it off, so it doesn't cling as well. Fifteen feet of six foot block walk vine to cut off at base and bale and/ or stuff into bags. One huge part we managed together is on the street for this week's bimonthly city pickup. The rest is bagged for tomortow lugging. After that laundry and read a book!
California can stop sending us rain now! Lot of it in the wee hours.North got snow again and it looked like last day before Christmas not last day of school!
Fortunately lovely right now..should be lining up kids for grad ceremony out in the football field. Schools here run 2500-3000. too big.
