Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere

Good morning all,
All day yesterday I kept thinking I forgot something ... I did .... I forgot to get the thread started. Oops!
Iāll blame it on going out Tuesday after work for a couple of beers. Other cashier sent a text, I joined her. Weāre having some issues going on in work ... always drama. Boss is on vacation, so another āmanagerā decided to get in our face about the way we are answering and transferring phone calls. We just went through 3 meeting about this and Iām getting tired of it. I let her know in no uncertain terms that she needs to discuss with our boss because I am following everything she said. I held my ground and the 2 other office staff were pretty surprised that I stood up for myself. So, I got called into the GMs office yesterday. I wasnāt concerned, worse case I would just quit. He was pretty nice about everything, we talked, other manager was there and I didnāt even acknowledge her. Heās going to talk to other staff today, one on one, I was just the first. And thereās a meeting scheduled next Tuesday when our boss returns. She is going to be miserable... enough is enough.
So now we need to play 20 questions with everyone who calls and is asking for the service department. I see my time there coming to and end soon ... donāt need the job and as much as I enjoy it I also get attitude. Yesterday I was on my own after 4:30 so when the phone calls came in I answered one, played the game and missed about 5 other calls because I spent too much time on the first call. They canāt have it both ways. Iām looking forward to Saturday when Iām alone most of the day. Theyāre going to have a huge missed call list .. I guarantee it. Ok ... enough ranting.
I need to get moving. Itās my late start day and I have a ton of errands to run. Iāll catch up later. Have a great day.

Good afternoon all. Just put Mara down for a nap, and DH & Maggie are preparing for a run. Funny how he gets his exercise in but he never asks if I want to get out first!!! š. Just a frustration!
Joy, Iām afraid Iād be like you and hand in my resignation soon!!! Does not sound like a fun place to be right now. Too much Drama!!!! If you can get by w/o working there, more power to you!!!
JT has started a charitable organization called āD-Squared for the Homelessā. She would appreciate any and all donations and they are tax deductible. She is looking for $$, or supplies to give to the homeless: socks, shampoo, soap, deodorant, combs, toothbrush & toothpaste, lotion, tampons & pads for the women, etc. I thought of the tampons and pads this am and asked her if they were on her list, and she said no one had mentioned them until now. Told her probably because she and I are too old to worry about them anymore, plus she has 2 sons, they hadnāt been on her radar. I have a DF who did a fundraiser a few years ago and she asked for tampons and pads and she donated 40 or 50 boxes of them to a local homeless shelter. Things they are sadly in need of. I only thought of it because of the fundraiser that my friend did. Anyway, she would appreciate any help. I have a bunch of things from our hotel stays (shampoo, lotion, soaps, etc.) that I am sending her. They are filling bags with these items to give to the homeless. Getting rid of all of that is part of my cbāing for the moment.
Need to do my therapy while they are out and about. We are meeting DS after he gets off work to hand over Mara. Will be nice to have a few days break. We only have her once during the week next week and then for the weekend. And Sawyer has decreed that her parents need to go to Paris (or anywhere) for a long stay so she and Harper can spend lots of days in a row with us. Frankly Iām not sure Iām up to that anymore. Overnight is about all I can handle anymore with the 2 of them. Maybe itās just because itās on top of having Mara also all the time. I just need a break.
Not much else going on here. Mara has discovered that she can take one of the knobs off our gas range. Itās the center one for the griddle in the middle, but not good. And when trying to put it back, Stan discovered that itās not even the one that actually goes there. At some point one of them got broken off (possibly when the cleaner was working since she takes them off to clean them and under them) and then they were put back on. But we have a super burner and thatās the knob that was on the middle and not where it should be. Nobody has mentioned breaking one, which would have been nice. So tomorrow one of our chores will be finding a new knob, so Mara canāt just pull it off.
Ok, gotta go get exercise started and Iād like to knit for a few minutes w/o a little one trying to get the yarn. Sheās not much help surprisingly. More later!!!

Cathy, good to see you. I knew about the Blues being in the Stanley Cup playoffs. I talked to my brother on Sunday and he said they only had to win one more game. Since Connecticut doesnāt have any major league teams a lot of residents follow either Boston or NY teams so the sports people were talking about the Bruins playing the Blues. Iāll be rooting for the Blues ā Bill probably not. Have fun while Jody is visiting. You seem to always be busy when she is visiting. You have a very big patio, I know just keeping the maple seeds off of our deck right now is getting tough. There are maple seeds all over the area, streets, sidewalks and of course decks. We donāt even have a maple tree in our yard, our trees are oak and hickory.
Ruth, glad to hear that Mara is responding to the meds. Eighteen months for Mara, hard to believe that she is that old already. At the lake we just got a very plain Fridgidaire white fridge. Since it is only used about 4 months a year I canāt see spending too much money on it. We are hoping the change the salesperson made on our phones is a good fix for us. We find the T-mobile coverage very poor in some areas. We have no signal when we are at the cell phone lot at the Ft. Myers airport waiting for visitors. Thanks for the info from JT. I will check out the web site. Isnāt it amazing what little ones can figure out? I donāt blame you on watching the older girls for an extended time, it wears me out when we watch all 3 of them. DS and DDIL are very strict about TV and screen time and we try to follow their wishes but sometimes when we watch them we let them have more TV or screen time than mommy and daddy would ā we need the break.
Joyce, Iām sure the customers will not be happy with the new way you are supposed to be answering the phone. If you leave the place will be in a mess, you are the one who is willing to help out anyone and help with the new computer set-ups.
I went out and did a big shopping for the lake right after lunch. I will still need to pick up the last minute things tomorrow or Saturday morning. I hope the weather warms up some. More rain/storms are predicted for tonight. My DDIL is doing much better but I told them I would take care of the food for the weekend since both DS and DDIL are busy with work, kids sports and dance recital for DGD. Hopefully the weather will cooperate so the guys can get the boat ready for the water by Sunday afternoon.
