Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere

Remembering all of the men and women in the military who gave their lives to protect our country, our freedom and our rights.
Good morning all,
Yesterday was a very quiet day at work. I found out that there was no ad letting people know we were open on Sunday. Sold one vehicle between 11-3:30. I had all of my paperwork done for the day. At 3:55 one of the sales staff brought a deposit. Ugh! I was ready to go home. So I processed that deposit, and 2 other sales staff came by with deposits. Didn’t get out of work until 4:30. Up until then I had absolutely nothing to do. Oh well ... Today should be busy, glad I’m off.
Heading to DB and DSIL ‘s later today for a nice steat dinner. Looking forward to that.
Reorganizing in my kitchen this morning / early afternoon. Making oatmeal muffins for breakfast for the week. They’ve been a nice breakfast choice, freeze well and keep me satisfied until lunch. And I’ve got laundry do too. Busy day.
Weather-wise we’re going to have a nice day. Sunny, expected high of 73 - my kind of day.
Enjoy your day.

Good afternoon all. Raining and windy and in the low 50’s today. And supposed to finally clear up after 6 pm! Southern MN has had a couple tornadoes also apparently. Not a nice day in Minnesota!
Girls had a good time sleeping over I think. Sawyer cried about going home. You’d think she was planning to never be able to see us again. She’s kind of (or a whole lot of) Grandma/Nana’s girl and likes to let everyone know!!! DD came out early afternoon and got them. I did get their laundry from yesterday done and sent clean clothes home with them.
The gentleman who wants the elliptical asked about getting it Friday instead of Wednesday based on the weather forecast and needing to drive in our yard to get the trailer nearer to the patio door to get it out. And I asked DD if DSIL could possibly come be an extra set of hands and a strong back, just in case!!! She said certainly, so that will help us out. The $300 will be nice, but even nicer will be having it gone!!!
DH is getting that housebound feeling. If he doesn’t get out at least once a day (for a run, to get Mara, to run errands, or something) he starts to complain! So I think we may run to Panera for dinner and then run to Walmart for something.
Yes, bless all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. May they all be blessed and Rest In Peace.
Joy, I’m not sure if our car dealerships are open today or not. I know they weren’t open yesterday. Weird that you had to wait around for the stragglers.
I hope Dottie is having a great time with her family at the lake and that the weather is nice. And it seems Cathy & Jody are having a good time. I think Jody is there until 5/31.
Ok, need to change out of my capris if I’m going outside. It’s too cold for that here today unless you are staying inside.
Have a good evening all. I’ll be back to knitting one of Carol’s scarves after dinner!!!!

Joyce, that’s a bummer to have to finish paperwork when you thought you were done for the day. Weird being open and not letting people know. Our car dealerships are mostly closed on Sundays (I see a few ads that a dealership is open) but most of them aren’t. Not sure about holidays. Hope you had a good visit with DB and DSIL.
Ruth, nice to hear that the girls had a good time on their overnight. Good job on selling the elliptical and having some extra space and cash. Our boat is a 17½ foot speed boat. Our lake is only 125 acres and the biggest boat they will allow is 18 foot. Right now the boat needs work – UGH$$$$$$. Boats are nice when they work and expensive when they don’t. The boys were a huge help and the weekend was nice but tiring.
Our weather was great, about 75 now and low humidity. Tomorrow we are getting rain/possible thunderstorms. Bill is putting the grub control down now and it has to be watered in so hopefully the first rains we get tomorrow won’t be too hard so that the grub control can do its job. Yesterday DGS#1 noticed a small (about the size of a half dollar) turtle on the lawn. It was walking towards the lake. This is the first turtle, small or large, that we have seen there. He was worried that someone would step on it so he took 4 small twigs and put a small enclosure around it. As the turtle moved, he moved the enclosure. It was so cute. The turtle made it to the rocks (big ones) and seemed to be stuck so they wanted me to pick it up and put it in the water but I thought it would be best to see if the turtle could do it on its own. Sure enough a small wave (from a boat) came and washed the turtle into the water and away it swam. They were both so concerned for the little turtle, it was great to see.
