Good Morning and Happy Memorial Day for those who can have the day off - like our Sue said, it's a Bonus Day! Calling for SUN here today but cool temps. No matter - just finally seeing sun after an entire day of drizzling rain and clouds will be so nice!

Carole - how was your day Sunday? Did the pool gate get finished, the lawn mowed, and power washing begin? I just discovered my DM bought a power washer last Fall so I am looking to borrow hers this summer. Only once did I have my deck power washed before I sanded it and stained it. Looking forward to power washing my patio and front porch too. Is today your Cookout? Hoping yesterday you had the hot weather and sunshine we had Saturday! Sue - what a blast those boys must have had playing baseball all weekend! I bet after a day of stretching and heating pad you will feel much better - talk about taking one for the team! Thanks for sharing those pictures! Shelly - I'm hoping last night's storm in your area was just rain - please check in and let us know how you made out. So scary these tornadoes and flash floods! Although we have had more than our fair share of rains, the only real damage here is the HIGH water levels everywhere eroding our precious Bay banks and up over the sidewalks along the Bay submerging picnic areas and parks. Very concerning here...oh, I'm relieved to see your DDIL took her cousin along to help with the kids! I was honestly worried for her handling the stress of keeping everyone happy in the Happiest Place in the World! It's very stressful dealing with crowds, long waits, and avoiding meltdowns. BUT with 2 adults, they should be much better. Jenny - hope you got all your flowers in yesterday - I'm still working on weeding and trimming. Yesterday it rained, stopped, rained, stopped...but we got the huge bushes trimmed and raked up all around. Will head out again today to finish and maybe even start spreading our bags of mulch. I would go with YOU to see Aladdin!! If only...right? lol Lisa - hoping the weather improved your way so you could go for a bike ride. Did you plant some flowers? You had mentioned Joe might stop by this weekend - did he make it for a visit? I'm going to bite my tongue here but I am thinking of inviting DM over for a cook out - it's a Holiday and she really misses picnics and family gatherings around the Holidays - my family groans every time I mention it but it's the right thing to do... Gabrielle - hope you are back from Boston - how was everything?? I did see the exciting picture of the Big Screen showing the moment Kaitlyn graduated!! Hooray!! I bet DS was so proud too!!

Well I did keep Sunday (fairly) sensible... did OK on water, but honestly didn't track it - and know I didn't have as much as I should have... mostly because I didn't STOP very long to eat or drink... just kept going!
Sue: YAY for being able to sleep in a bit yesterday... oh I would NOT do "well" being at the ballpark all day - kudos to you my friend.
Lisa: Glad you didn't lose your power... getting more steps in picking up sticks!
Good luck with getting the car air fixed tomorrow.
Jenny: YAY for no gain the past 2 weeks! AWESOME!! Sorry Audrey won't go to the movies with you... I'd go if I were there! Although I have never seen Aladdin... but I'd go... is this just a new version?
Sue: How nice Jason let you sleep... now to get your back - back in line for the work week ahead! My "bonus" day will be a busy one - but I am looking forward to it.
Shelly: Yikes... sounds "close" to me!! OH I didn't realize DDIL was DRIVING to WDW too! WOW! Yes, pics will be enjoyable to you and DS, hope she sends a bunch for ya'!
Hoping your being so "sleepy" is simply the hours you work and the WORK you DO! Yes, good thing to mention to the Dr.

Tracked my day yesterday in MFP - did fairly well - thankful to all the exercise from raking, sweeping, gardening...lol I did fall into some wine after dinner BUT we did have dinner at home - I had prepared macaroni/celery/tuna salad (cold), marinated chicken breasts in Italian dressing, and had fresh broccoli. I ran to the Garden center to refill our propane tank and despite the rain/drizzle I did cook on the grill! Dinner was really good - I think everyone was thankful just to stay home and eat a good meal. We had cake (I baked it in between raking the bushes) for Carly and I did give her a few gifts - score!
Earlier I ran to Kohl's and used $30 in Kohl's cash to buy a nice perfume for Carly. Then quickly hit her favorite store, American Eagle, where most tops were 60% off! So I picked up a few summer tops for her - all set.
While out running to get gifts, my DM text me - her shower head came off and water poured out all over her carpeted bathroom! She was able to contact her handyman who explained how to shut off the main water valve but then she had no water all morning. And still no shower. She was very upset she had to miss Mass and was beside herself about the soppy wet carpet. I offered to come up to vacuum it with my Bissel carpet cleaner but she had one herself so did it several times. I was sort of "on call" to hear if she needed me up there but thankful my younger brother was there and he did it for her - her handyman stopped by to adjust this and that and got her water valve back on - he's returning Tuesday with new fixtures. Geesh - and in the end DM was 'emotionally exhausted' so just took a nap. LOL Another score! for me LOL as I didn't have to drop everything and run up there.
Okay, need to get this day organized to see if we'll mulch or wait for tree droppings to clear another weekend.

Christine: You must be getting the temps we will get tomorrow? We are expected to go from 78 today down to 60 tomorrow! An 18 degree DROP overnight.
Ahhh, my Sunday.... Ummm, no the gate is not done, (it is now "built" and just needs to be hung) that is taking as long to do as the complete porch railings took! UGH! Lawn not mowed either... DH left to go on an ambulance call, so there went a good 2 hours out of his day here!!
Powerwashing... did I mention when I started my power washing Saturday, my machine wouldn't work? So we went to Home Depot to get a new one... well... my goal was to begin power-washing around 1ish, to allow DD to sleep a bit. Well, she also went on the ambulance call - so that left me here alone... to put the power washer together!! Nope DH hadn't even assembled it yet... so yup 0 I did it! LOL Then got the project started... DH was some surprised when he got here! LOL
I was doing the pool deck, was only going to do one end (for now) but nope... it's one of those things you do this part - then ya gotta do that part... then the white fencing needed to be done - It was done quickly though, so may need to be done again later? Probably not! HA! then I got down to the patio... I did all the patio furniture and SOME of the patio itself... had to call it quits... ran the water for almost 4 hours! Not to mention that 4 hours of me DOING the washing! LOL MY back was "tired"...
Meanwhile - DH had another ambulance call, so I was "alone" again... well DD was trying to sleep (apparently the power washer does not affect her sleeping), anyway... what's done is done. I will go out quickly this morning with the leaf blower to complete the project (for now)... still more patio to get done another day!
The good news is... my back was tired - but NOT the leg pain - or any actual back PAIN... I must be learning to bend my knees, and lift with my legs! LOL
Yes today is the cook out, so this morning DH and I have to go out and get the patio furniture back to the normal places and positions! I left every thing upside down to dry!
OH yes, borrow that power washer - may I ask what your DM needs with a power washer?? Does she DO that kind of "work" at her house?? Good for her!! Anyway... yes so much SATISFACTION in seeing it done!! I LOVE to power wash! Oh and our NEW one is SO much better than our last one!
I don't know what the temps were yesterday - but I know I felt good when I sprayed myself! LOL
Yes, I was thinking HOW do you take 3 kids to WDW with no help... it's an either we all ride or no one rides kind of trip? I too am grateful our Shelly's DDIL took along a helper!
SO sorry you didn't get your mulching all done yesterday.. good luck today! Oh how good of you to bring DM over for a holiday cook out!

Christine - look at you, tracking even on the weekend! WOO HOO! OH yes, I "earned" every one of my 7+k steps yesterday!! HA! We ate at home too... after I power washed, while DH was gone I came in and cooked dinner... yup there was wine... but MAN it felt good to sit and eat a real meal!! We had pork chops, potatoes, veggies...
oh AND I baked the cake for Jaclyn's BD celebration today!
Yum, your BBQ dinner sounds yummy... and YAY for a cake and gifts for Carly! You are good!!
Yikes, glad your DB was there for your DM...
Yup, I too have to get moving... need to wipe down bathrooms - get the ribs in the oven, get the chicken marinating... and get the cole slaw mixed up! Then outside to get the patio organized... oh yeah, I guess I should shower and get dressed too! LOL
oh and get DH moving... he gets so "lazy" while at the computer on these kind of days! UGH! I will tell him he cannot go on another call until our patio is back in order!!
Hoping you all have a great day today... ♥hugs♥

Morning all...
Back is really ugly today....at times almost drops me to my knees.....I think a day of heat, stretching and a muscle relaxer might be in order...going to try not to take it since it makes me sleepy but if it's not better by early afternoon when I have to go to the store, I will take it...
Will try to read and while in the recliner and catch up later!

Good afternoon all! Call me lumberjack Lisa today. I thought DS might come by and I would ask him to help me carry large branch to the burn pile but saw on FB that he was at St Louis zoo! So I got the large limb broke in half, managed that myself. Then noticed that an even bigger broken limb was wedged in the tree and could knock out a window if it blew out. So I pulled and pushed that down finally. Took a break and drug, pushed and turned it to the wood pile. But got it done 👍💪
Relaxing now. It is supposed to storm later.
I may be paying for all the manual labor tomorrow..
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the day!
