TRACKIN' TUESDAY... it IS Tuesday right?? LOL I got all sorts of confused when I saw Tracy in her bed this morning - wondering why she didn't go to work at midnight last night... thought OH WOW She really DIDN'T feel well last night... halfway down the stairs I was like OH DUH... it wasn't Sunday night - it was Monday night - her night off! OY VEY!! Gonna be a long day!!
Yesterday was a long day... yes I enjoy family days (wondering if I really DO enjoy them anymore) - but they also "get to me" you all know that... Ken was at the grill - I was finishing up the stuff indoors, Tracy did a lot of running back and forth... the usual... everyone else SAT and visited - had a nice day, talking and catching up.... I honestly do NOT know HOW to deal with it!But I need to figure out a way - to get others to help... or my summer is going to be another summer filled with disappointment - and frustrations... and not FUN days at all!
We are looking into a "cabinet" to have on the back porch - to store all the "picnic" stuff... so each time we get started... everything is at least out on the porch... HOW we get folks to carry stuff to the patio - that's another issue for another day... but I will say if this is how EVERY family cook out is going to go (again) this year... I will reach my breaking point - and if I "lose it"... I may end up saying things that are better left unsaid!
Add to the frustration of the day... there is a leak in our pool liner OR a fitting when it was installed... Ken was on the phone with the guy 3 times yesterday - so not sure where this will land! I don't think I have it in me to care... I want refunds on the liner and the installation - and I want to tear this one down, and see what we can get elsewhere! Money-wise, this plan does not make sense - so Ken knows to keep me out of it! LOL
So today IS the day I go back to the PA at Spine & Sport... I'd like to keep the appointment with the surgeon, because I do not feel 100%, but ultimately I think it is her decision? We'll see... Tracy is going to come down to go with me - "just because"! My sister commented yesterday - after umpteen trips to the patio - that I was limping again... I said yup, it comes and goes - depending on what I am doing... still didn't prompt any of them to get up and help!
I will say I think it's GOOD that my back simple "Aches" from overdoing - a tired ache... if that makes sense? No pain down my leg - no pain in my back - my ankle doesn't hurt - although I still cannot stand on the one leg... I can balance on my good leg/ankle, but not my bad. One toe is still weird... not sure that warrants surgery... and the ankle and toe "weakness" probably will require time and (God forbid) PT! UGH! Anyway, I guess my appointment will tell me more...until then... I speculate!
OK Let me grab a refill on coffee and see if I can catch up... ♥

Sue: Sorry the back was ugly for ya'... hoping it was better before you had to hit the store! Walking around those big stores is NOT good for our backs or feet!
Lisa: The lumberjack!! Isn't it FUN dealing with tree branches??? Sorry DS wasn't able to come help, but YAY for YOU - YOU DID IT!! Hope you are OK today - and NOT "Feeling it".... did you get storms?
We are due for some today I believe... and be down to 60 today... such a drop from yesterday! This is going to be a very up and down summer it seems!
I just looked out and see that something... got into our trash... the barrel we have on the patio... assume it was a raccoon, since a bear would have it all over the yard... it seems it is rather neatly "picked over" in a small area - rather than strewn about the whole yard. Yup, I'll let Ken deal with that!
I will have to say that HE, my DH... Ken dealt with a lot yesterday too - he did most of the hauling "leftovers" from the patio to the house...for me (and he helped) put stuff away and get dishes into the dishwasher... When my sisters got up to gather their leftovers and leave - I simply SAT... on the patio with a margarita...

OK So moving on to TRACKIN' TUESDAY... Who's tracking today??
Gabrielle is probably heading TO the track soon... well OK couple of hours, but YAY for her! ♥
Sue: Generally a good tracker queen... how's it been lately Sue?? Do you need a "nudge" to get back to it??
Lisa: Starting off tracking with MFP, gotta get into a routine?? How can we help? Just a gentle reminder that today IS Trackin' Tuesday?!
Shelly: Sort of a non-tracker, like me these days... need to get back to it - but UGH... won't be pretty this week - as we use up the leftovers! I may throw some in the freezer - so we don't have "cook out food" ALL WEEK LONG! We'll see!
Christine: There's our TRACKING QUEEN of late... puts me to shame Every.Single.Day.! LOL
OK So I seem to have some time this morning... heading to MFP right now!! HA!

Good Morning ~ rain rain and thunderstorms today and tomorrow - so glad got most of the weeding finished. Now just waiting for the tree droppings to be blown AWAY and can plan to mulch next week...
Tracked this Tuesday! Yesterday was by far my absolute worst eating day. Even with weeding for over an hour. BUT back to the basics today!
Yesterday was an unplanned day...Bonus Day, right? I did little chores like wash bathroom wastecans, wash throws and towels, changed sheets on bed, cleaned Patio door windows inside and out, cleaned some of deck furniture, inventoried donations, then did about an hour of weeding the side yard. Put some lawn decorations out (oh my - getting sun faded)...the whole while DD23 was whining she wanted to DO SOMETHING but none of her friends were responding or were already going to family picnics. BF Ben was heading to his Mom's (I don't think Carly was included which I found odd??) - they had planned to go to the local Minor League Ballgame - so I suggested she invite Lindsey - she immediately said, NO lol but honestly I wanted to go and DH had just mentioned wanting to get to a ballgame this summer...I mentioned it to Gary and he agreed to go... so we talked Lindsey into joining us for a Family Day so OFF WE WENT lol - it was Buck Day - hotdogs, popcorn, beer, pop all $1.00...seats were $10.00 but over all a very affordable fun time!
Lots of sunshine yesterday, cooler temps (60s) but warm sunshine!!! Perfect day to be at a baseball game - we had a blast - came home with sunburns - I lucked out and didn't get burned, just a bit pink on my arms, but the Girls and Gary really got burned on their thighs! Aloe was broken out for them ~

Last night's dinner was Turkey burgers on the grill, leftover macaroni salad and watermelon. Ta Daa....quick and easy after a long day of fun!
Tracked it all - ugh - the hotdogs and popcorn did me in! lol
But it felt good to take a day of rest...my knees and back thanked me LOL otherwise I would have kept finding more yard work to piddle around...
Back to Basics is my personal theme - and FLUSH - geesh, I didn't realize watermelon has CARBS...not a lot but enough to catch my attention there...
Breakfast today is Greek yogurt w/fresh blueberries, Lunch is hb egg w/spinach salad and strawberries, snacks will be unsalted almonds and counted out Blue Corn tortilla chips...will try to walk after work if not thunderstorms at that time -

WOW! I had forgotten just how much sodium is in cottage cheese! Darn!! Also only tracked breakfast - lunch and a snack, no dinner yet... already OVER in FAT!??!?? The salad I eat - the bagged - chopped salad kits... of course I eat more than a single serving... but OUCH on the FAT - will use up what I have them re-think the salad plan for lunches!
So there ya' have it - I have tracked breakfast - lunch and snack... now to come home and NOT eat everything under the sun!! I WANT to come home and head right upstairs... need to do some "cleaning" of our bedroom! We have totes and piles of clothes - UGH what a mess... all because getting ready to pack for TX I couldn't lift/carry/move anything - so there it sits! Today I want to go through it and I WILL be donating... anything I didn't wear this past winter is going in a bag to donate... summer stuff, if it didn't fit last year and definitely won't fit this year - have to go! NOT looking at the smaller clothes one more year... IF I lose the weight I will have to invest in more!
Mornin Christine... Holy SMOKES you were on fire yesterday! Look at all you got done - and still had time for a ballgame!! Sorry DD23 was left out of the BF family picnic... that does seem odd! But HEY... you got to go to the game!! YAY!! LOL And only YOU could call that a "day of rest"...
OK I am going BACK to BASICS with you today... even with leftovers for dinner - I can track it and learn from it.
Unfortunately - when I updated my weight in MFP, it upped my calories... but offer losing 7.2# by 4th of July! HA! OK I'm in!!
Ooohhhh, Ken just came down and said it WAS a bear! LOL At 1:00 AM Tracy was woken up by the noise - Ken got up to go to the bathroom and yup, they watched the bear tear into our trash bin! He apparently spoke to me - but I was SOUND asleep - never heard a thing, so he didn't WAKE me up - thank goodness... but OK Now we know have bears in the area!
OK I need to get moving... will CBL or in the morning ♥hugs♥

Carole - glad everyone else had a good time at your Family gathering - yes, this summer plan ahead to SAY SOMETHING about needing more help! What if you just announce "I would love the family to be here but this year I really need some help setting up and cleaning afterwards". No hints. Just say it. Then the day of, sit with everyone (stay out of the kitchen) and when it's time to put food out, tap a sister, DDIL, Kathy, whoever, and say, "Come help me" with a smile Can't hurt to try if the delivery and tone is light and inviting. If a few do help you in the kitchen where the action is and conversation is at, others don't want to sit alone on the patio so might venture in to see what all the fun inside is?? Just a thought... Yes, TRACK on MFP or FitBit or wherever! Gotta start somewhere... Sue - ugh to the sore back - and wow to how painful it ended up being! Yikes! Glad you had Monday to just focus on getting it stretched out and better. Lisa - Hooray!! Wow to all that yard work with the heavy tree limbs!!! You Did It!! Plus earned bonus 'move it' points in our book!! Waves to all - hoping Tuesday is a Tracking Day!

Good morning!
Wow, it's been a week since I last tracked....can't believe how much has happened in only a week, but glad that this is a 4-day work week. Yes, Carole is right...Track Tuesday will be first on my agenda today and it isn't raining! I got home late Saturday (about 10:45 pm) and it was raining, rained most of the day Sunday and let up yesterday but never got above 52 degrees. Where is the warm weather??? It is supposed to start this week. In no time I will be complaining about the heat (but not for a while Had a great trip to see the kids in Boston--a fun few days with them. I am so glad that they are moving back! DS25 will be back in the next few weeks to do more interviews in person. Then, in early August, he will fly back to Boston to move his GF back. She is intensely studying for the Bar Exam--about 6 hours/day between now and the end of July when she takes it....lots happening!
Carole: So glad to read that the leg pain is subsiding, but it sounds like there are still other things going on. I always worry that you will "compensate" --- like when your sister said you were limping---and hurt something else. Glad that you see the PA today and hope that you are happy with her decisions. Wow, a bear? What kind of bear? We get brown bears around here, but they stay away from the house. Hey, you were a power-washing queen the other day! I do love how it cleans things up....and glad that your back was okay. Well, it sounds like you are going to have to say something if you want people to help. I think that you could pick specific things and ask people to do them at the end of the meal. Maybe put on some music in the kitchen too? Just a thought. Hope that you have a good day today!
Christine: Oh, the baseball game sounded like so much fun! Loved the pic of you and the girls too. You are one busy lady---so efficient about getting things done. So glad that you didn't have to head up to your mom's the other day....sounds like it all worked out in the end. When is your last day with kids again? We have some finishing this week and others going well into June due to so many snow days---we've had such a bad weather year. GREAT job with your tracking...and I know what you mean--a meal at home is nice!

Sue: I hope that your back feels better after a day of rest....OUCH! And it takes a lot to get you down. Thinking about you....
Lisa: LOL, you lumberjack! Did you wear your safety goggles? I always imagine little pieces of wood flying around! Nice that you got that done on your own and I am sure that it surprised everyone. I did read back and saw your response about the arthritis...hope that DH is feeling better with it all soon.
Jenny: Wow, this is the 4th guy who is taking advantage of Siobhan? Yikes! I'll bet that your yard is looking beautiful! I always love to see it when you get it ready for the summer. When does Audrey take her driving test again? She should be finished with school soon, right?
Shelly: I see that someone in your family is driving to Disneyland I think? I hope that you got to come home a little early yesterday AND that you are safe --those pictures of OK and the flooding, etc. are so frightening to see. Thinking about you.
Okay, need to seriously get moving. Have a good day ladies and I will be more attentive now...need to run on the track AND track today!

Morning all....back is still not right....frustrating how long it is taking to bounce back to normal....will make for a long work day but will tough it out, don't want to lose my holiday pay from yesterday by calling in!
Have my annual PE at the doctor after work today....I think my weight will be up this year by a little....
No Carole....I have not been the diligent tracker and I need to get back to that! Been in the habit of late/after dinner snacking again! Annoyed with myself but I think the past couple weeks its been the work stress and then the busy weekends with baseball plus our long weekend in MA/ME....just don't have my head in the game. Haven't been to the pool or to walk after work in weeks because of other things like painting, school programs, baseball, etc....excuses, yes but it is what it is...
Depending on how my back feels when I get home tonight I'll try to catch up a little....

Good morning all! At the car shop waiting for my car to even get pulled in. Looks like others had car issues over the weekend too!
Glad to report that Greg was in an older brace in his tennis shoe yesterday and was feeling better but still kept his crutches nearby.
Carole-hope that you get some answers today. Sorry to hear about the pool, things like that are frustrating!
Sue-hope you aren't too stiff today. I can feel that I did some hard work yesterday. Didn't sleep well either 😔

Gabrielle-yes weekend went fast. Good luck to your DS studying for bar exams. I remember when DSIL was studying for CPA exams. I didn't wear eye protection in my lumberjack adventure but I should have!
Christine-glad you had a good unplanned day. A lot of my days are like that lately. I need to review basics again and make sure that I get my fruits and veggies in.
My car is now pulled into the shop area

ok not a good report on the car. It is the compressor and will cost about $1,000 to fix it. I came home to check my extended warranty papers, but it only goes to 120,000 miles and I'm at 138,000+, so I told them to order the part and I can take it in on Thursday for repair. Darn it, if it's not one thing, it's another, but this is a 2015 Corolla so I don't want to be without air.
Greg is still getting his bath, so I'm having some tea and contemplating the rest of the day. It is supposed to rain this afternoon so choices are limited. I think I will go take that bike ride now!
