Thanks for the start Karen.
The doctor's office moved my appointment up to 12:30 from 3:45 which will actually be better for us too.Woke up to thunder and we ended up with 1" rain.Just enough since topsoil was needing some moisture.Bastrop has power lines down and their HS was without power earlier on their last day of school.Hopefully it's fixed by now or they have generators running.
Chele Hopefully things are better for you today.I'm glad Iggy got to Houston fine.I heard they had rain this morning also.

Becky I hope the shots go well. Iggy said Houston was hot and humid but when I spoke with him this morning he did not mention rain.
I hope everyone ‘s day is going well.
We had wind and rain overnight and I woke up with another headache. Fortunately, it went away just like yesterday’s did. We have water but are advised to boil before consuming as well as to conserve since we are not yet at full capacity. No luck on cable or WiFi yet. Lots don’t have a roof over their heads so I have it good. The weather service confirmed 15 EF0 to EF3 tornados touched down in the area we call the Miami Valley (aka Sinus Valley) Monday night/Tuesday morning. That is 2 more than we thought yesterday.
Kathy, I hope your hurricane season is quieter than tornado season has been.

Dinner plan is Flo's Asian with coupon and keeping the kitchen clean.

Becky, how were the shots and the visit? Was he as much of an idiot as the last time you saw him? I'm glad the appointment got changed to a more convenient time for you. I know what you mean about the topsoil needing the rain. Same here. We may get something this evening but probably not enough to do much good. I hope they got the power back on to the HS.
I know it could have been a lot worse, Chele, but we are so accustomed to our modern conveniences that it's a real inconvenience when we are without them. It's amazing that you've kept your power. Is your electricity under ground or above ground? Like every other news store, Dayton/Celina has faded from news coverage. How are things in the affected areas? That's a lot of tornados! I remember being a senior in undergrad when Xenia got hit. I don't think that's too far from you. Were you still living in NY then? It was 1974 I think. I can relate to "sinus valley". I have the same problem in Nashville. The last time Dale and I were there together was the early 90s and I was miserable the entire time because my head hurt so badly. That was a miserable 4 days. He was presenting at a conference so I pretty much stayed in bed. Some vacation! I was so happy to get out of there and back to Austin.
Kathy, Earth Fare had Dr. Praegers on sale today so I got 2 boxes, which will last me a while. Have you had the mushroom risotto ones? Every one of the individual packages inside seems to be covered with a greasy substance. I haven't had that with the others. They taste ok, but the packages are so slick that it makes them more difficult to open. Weird! Is DM over her croak?
Is your weather starting to become more seasonal, Linda, or are you still on the low side? Does your system seem to be getting over the effects of so many days of antibiotics? How was the cake? Flo's doesn't sound particularly Asian. Reminds me of the gal in the diner who said, "Kiss Mah Grits!" How was the food? Keeping the kitchen clean is a great reason to go out. You seem to have regained much of your stamina, given your list of errands.
Liz, I hope the week hasn't been insane (I know I'm being optimistic) and the pups are getting back to their routine. They are such creatures of habit. Phoebe was always ready to go, but Kira hated to leave the house, especially if we went out of town overnight. Any doctor appointments or therapy this week?
When I went to the therapy center this morning, all the Nu-Step machines were occupied, so I did 30 minutes on the elliptical. The first 5 minutes were challenging but after that, things settled down. The heart rate wasn't working very well on it--a lot of 0's and I knew I wasn't dead, and then it kicked up to 190 at one point, but stayed mainly in the 140s. I took my pulse manually once and it was around 110. According to the FitBit, I didn't hit above 128 and was mainly in the 90 to 105 range. The Crocs don't cut it on that machine so I may have to wear the gooey shoes next week. I think I need to invest in a good pair of running shoes with stability control. Better do it before Dale retires and we have to live on an actual budget. I hit a new record on the ab machine at Osteo and I'm stoked about that. Other 3 machines were so-so. In fact, the Rice Krispy knees started when I was on the leg press. Not good! The tech thinks it was my Birkies so I'll wear better shoes next week. I don't feel particularly sore, despite not doing Hydro Massage after, but I'm really tired. Might be the heat. Weather permitting, I will swim in the a.m. and that will also help. It appears the neighbors and their boat have left, so good time to swim along the shore of their property without problems.

Karen, I think 1974 is right for the Xenia tornadoes. We visited my great-aunt in Xenia that summer after the tornadoes hit and it looked like a bomb had gone off in some areas. There was nothing left but the slab. My aunt's house had some minor damage to her porch, but she was lucky it wasn't too bad. I noticed that about all the Dayton/Celina coverage fading away too. I wonder what got to you in Nashville. What time of year was it? Could it have been the place you stayed at? I've had reactions to hotel rooms before, probably due to cleaners they use or whatever they do their laundry with. I didn't notice any more allergies than normal when we were in Nashville though. I haven't tried the mushroom risotto veggie burgers. Sounds like maybe one of the packages leaked? The Dr. Praegers are a little oilier to me than what I was used to with Morningstar. DM sounded pretty normal today. One of her hearing aids died though and she's talking very loudly on speakerphone until she can get a replacement. It sounds like someone shouting at me through a megaphone! I think I would hurry up and get a new pair of shoes so you're not stuck with the gooey ones. I don't think I could do any machine with Crocs on. Chele, wow on 15 tornadoes in one night and so glad you came through unscathed. Was there any damage in your neighborhood? We'll be in serious trouble if we get that many hurricanes. Florida rarely gets more than an EF0 or EF1 when we get tornadoes and those are scary enough. That's a good sign that your water is starting to come back even if you have to boil it. Those old radios come in handy sometimes. On the TV, can you switch to receiving channels over the air and get your local stations? You might have to unhook the cable connection from it. I remember after Charley, the cable was the last thing to come back. After Irma, I lost power, but the cable and wifi were fine once the power came back, so you never know. Linda, I think we're going to be switching weather soon. We'll be back in the lower 90s next week with rain in the afternoons. At least that's what me and my water bill are hoping. That reminds me that our Sprouts is opening soon. Can't wait! Becky, hope all went well with the shots and that doctor. You've been through enough with him!
Liz, like Karen, I'm being optimistic that things aren't too bad at work. I hope you haven't been dealing with bad weather too, but the weather maps haven't looked too good for your area this week.

Thanks Chele. The shots did hurt some when he injected each knee and now they feel a little stiff and tender.I know it will take a few weeks to feel the results.I was wondering about Iggy.Debdoesww said at her house in Houston they were getting pounded with rain starting at 4:30 which is about when we got our little rain but one lady who lives in a suburb of Houston didn't get any rain.I am glad your headaches are going away.I think this volatile weather has been what is giving me my headaches as well.I hope you get cable and wi-fi soon.
Thanks Linda.Wow it didn't take long for summer to hit you when it finally came.Enjoy dinner.
Karen I think with all the problems I have had getting these injections the whole office are idiots. He knows what he is doing and I didn't say anything about the whole ordeal but I'm so done with them.He did say if the injections didn't work well to come back in a month.Only if monkey's fly.He sprayed the cold spray on my knee then used a numbing needle and then gave the injection.I think my knees were just hurting so much it made the shots hurt some as well.I asked him if I needed to limit activity for a few days after and of course he said no.I read online where it said no strenuous activity which I don't really think I do any of but I'm going to lay off the recumbent bike and outside walking for 2 days.I will walk in the house and tomorrow when we go to HEB and WM but I think the hilly road might be a bit too much for a couple of days.I read a post on FB where one of the Bastrop schools let school out and they met up at Chick-Fil-A.On our way to the office there was a line of cars waiting to pick up kids at an elementary school around 12:15.We may get more rain tonight but it won't amount to much. You won't believe it but it's only 80 degrees at 6:40 and with the breeze it feels wonderful outside. You did well if you did the elliptical.I tried one at AF and I lasted maybe 5 min.
Waves to Kathy and Liz.

Kathy, we were in Nashville in late April and we thought something was blooming that was native there but not in Austin. It started before we even got to the hotel. I remember only wanting to go to Cracker Barrel for blackberry cobbler. I ate a lot of blackberry cobbler and the sinus drainage was a killer. I didn't realize your aunt lived in Xenia. It definitely looked like a war zone. You may be right about a leaky package on the Praegers. No clue if they may have gotten thawed before I bought them. DM used to have the same problem with her hearing aids and there were times that I would just lay the phone on the arm of the sofa. She did most of the talking anyway. Had I known the Nu-Steps would all be occupied, I probably would have worn the gooey shoes instead of the Crocs. I get emails from several sporting good outlets and found a pair of shoes that Runners' World gave a stellar review and they were regularly $150 but they had them on sale for $49.99. Fingers crossed they will arrive by next week. I'll probably wear them at AF for the AMT as well.
I know you were glad to get the shots out of the way, Becky. LOL on flying monkeys. Probably good to take it a bit easy for a couple of days just in case. I hope they will kick in quickly. The AMT I use at AF is like an elliptical on steroids and I did that for 30 minutes on Tuesday. When I was working, I used the elliptical quite a bit. It was great cross training when I was a runner, too. Only 80 degrees? It was 77 when we got up this morning at 5:30. I think we got to 89. Nice that you got a little cool weather, and maybe you'll get another little shower to make the aquifers happy. Hope you weren't planning to go to Chick-Fil-A.

normal walking around house is fine, Becky. you need to bend them, bit not a lot for a couple days.
Day started out well, got things at Home depot, walked dog, stopped st Sprouts and ATM. House was clean, laundry done and then the guy came for the spring checkup on the AC units.
One is ground unit is 13 years old, but the attic air handler remodelked from the earlier unit is leaking freon. Freon js $$$$ and they do not make them any mkre. Kind if expected to need to replace it. BUT the 2014 ground init, which is fine also has a remodeled attic older unit leaking nonfreon coolant. At best. new complete system plus 3000 for new coils for the other...bids tomorrow on lennox, Trane, Day and Night (made by Carrier). any one know about thst last brand?
