I type on the ipad...bad enough! Hope things come back on today, Chele
95 yesterday. looking at long heat until mid October. That makes getting new AC in bedroom half of house important while they still are not summer busy. Day and Night is a small company in the west that uses all Carrier parts like Goodman ...very high ratings for geat pumps. Trane has fallen in ratings and is more expensive and noisy. We have two right now and never liked the nonfreon X15 from 2014 which had compresser replaced one year in, and other parts replaced on warrenty but labor not covered. Probably will have to do $3000 for new coils in attic half rather than that whole system in a five year old heat pump!
We figure that out this afternoon after DH gets back from ent dr. about still hardly tasting anything and nose closing up.

Let me try this again!
Karen, thanks for getting us started. I hope that the new shoes will help you get more out of your exercise. Great job on the abs. I miss having cable and WiFi. I am trying not to get crabby about it by reminding myself it could be worse.
Linda, where are you live it is essential to have good AC. I feel so bad for Bob. Not being able to taste or smell anything would be rough to live with.. I hope that the doctor can help him out with that. I know what you mean about adjusting to a new budget. I am glad we live in an area where the cost of living isn’t too bad.
Kathy, I was still in NY when the Xenia tornado hit. I didn’t arrive in Dayton until August 1975. Xenia was still a mess a year after the storm. I am glad to hear DM is doing better.
Becky, I am sorry to hear how painful the shots were. Taking it a bit easier for a couple of days sounds like a good idea. Iggy has been busy so all I am getting are brief texts. I don’t know if he saw any rain or not. We are getting another thunder storm right now.
Liz, have you gone around the bend yet? How has the commute been? What is the news on the ankle?
I was going stir crazy after my morning radio show ended so I vacuumed and made mustard potato salad and boiled some more water and some other chores. I was still going stir crazy so I did a little retail therapy with a gift card. I got a pair of denim capris with fringe on the hem and a couple of tops. I did some dishes and had to do a load of laundry. I have been conserving but I needed some clean clothes. I thought Iggy would land at 11am but it is 11pm. I was hoping we would have dinner together.

Chele, sorry you lost your post. I lost one yesterday and saw the blue bear screen several times. Nothing like a little retail therapy to lift your spirits! Those jeans sound really cute. We've used paper plates and disposable cups after the hurricanes until water returns to normal. I still have some from our last storm. Yes, it could be worse, but it's still a pain not to have wifi and cable. Hope they are restored soon. Safe travels for Iggy.
Linda, I've had Carrier in both of my houses, but they were probably the lower end of their products installed by the builders. I replaced my current AC with a Trane and so far, it's been good. It is noisier, but kind of hard to judge since it's also more powerful than the previous system. Power bills are lower and it does a much better job of heating/cooling than the Carrier. They quoted me about the same price on the coils, but I went ahead and did the whole system since it was over 12 years old. I would've just done the coils if it was newer.
Karen, thanks for the start. We're still without rain, so no relief yet. I'm ready for this heat wave to be over! Hope you like the new shoes.
Becky, hope the shots kick in and give you some relief on the knee pain.
Liz, Friday at last! I'm afraid to ask how your week has been, but at least it's almost over.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele I'm sorry about the lost post.
Linda I hope you can get your AC in before they get too busy.I hope Bob feels better soon.
Chele I'm sorry you still don't have cable or wifi.I know it's an inconvenience even if things could have been worse.I hope your rain goes away soon.We didn't get any rain yesterday and if we get any tonight it shouldn't be bad. It's still humid and getting warmer every day.I get stir crazy when I'm stuck in the house even with TV and wifi.I can't imagine how bad it has been without anyone to talk to.Safe travels for Iggy.
Kathy Thanks.I have gotten mostly inside walking done including HEB and WM and a couple of walks to the road gate and back which weren't too bad.I won't get in 10K steps but that's okay too.
Karen I guess you have had a busy day.
Liz I hope you found out something about your ankle and can get some rest this weekend.
We are going to Taylor to Sirloin tomorrow to meet another couple for lunch.Kenneth and the man used to work together and their birthdays are 10 days apart so we always celebrate together.

Chele, that stinks that you lost your post, since you're having to put in extra effort right now anyway. Too bad Iggy isn't coming home earlier, especially since he has to work some this weekend, if I remember. Enjoy your new duds. Hope they will ship quickly. I would be getting stir crazy by now, too. I hope Iggy's not too tired to do some running around tomorrow. The black bean burgers came out pretty good. It made 5 nice size patties and I had 1 for dinner and there are 2 each in the fridge and freezer. What kind of a morning radio show do you listen to? I can understand how you might need to do some laundry, given the number of days you've had no water. Are the pumps still running on generator and do you have a timetable for restoration of full water service? Is your potato salad the one that is sometimes called southern that has mayo and vinegar along with the mustard?
That's scary on the blue screen, Kathy. Your computer isn't that old, is it? We had a pretty hard rain over night that left us about 1/4", so it didn't last long and then had a pretty heavy but brief shower this afternoon. So I haven't had to water but will have to on Sunday if we don't get any more. I have high hopes for the new shoes. I just hope the toe box is wide enough that my toes don't get numb like they do in the gooey shoes.
Linda, like Kathy, we have Trane heat pumps. We have a 15 for downstairs and a 17 for upstairs. No problems so far. We replace one of the units at the old house with a Trane and blew the fan motor about 3 years in but no other issues. Are you getting through the effects of the antibiotics? How was your Asian dinner last night?
Is Sirloin your buffet, Becky? You haven't been there for a while. Enjoy! Belated happy birthday to Kenneth. How are your knees? Did you get any walking in today?
Liz, I know you're glad it's Friday. Hope the work phone will be off for the weekend.
I didn't want to get out of bed this morning but dragged myself out. Dale got the clean vehicle bug and washed his truck and my car before breakfast. So I was late getting to the lake. I got in a little more than 1/2 mile but it was a challenging swim because we had up to 22 mile an hour wind gusts while I was in the water so I had to watch that I wasn't breathing on the side the wind was coming from and did get a few suprises. So my sinuses got cleaned out. Hopefully tomorrow will be a kayak day.

Karen Yes Sirloin is the buffet. We haven't been eating out much of anywhere lately. It's cheaper to eat at home.We rotate years paying for the men's birthday's and I'm thinking it's our turn to treat.Oh well.I hadn't planned on doing any real exercise today.I did walk in the house and HEB and WM while we were shopping.I also walked to the road gate and back a couple of times this afternoon but I'm trying to allow it to rest some.It will take 2-4 weeks for it to get noticeably better and up to 8 wks for full recovery.Hopefully it will be sooner than later though.Enjoy kayaking tomorrow.

Becky, it takes five weeks for the full effect.
Bob has to have. CT to see what they can do about smell and taste. nothing so far has worked.
I see dermatologist Monday about the itching and dermagraphy which is all over now. Digestion gas still an issue but improving.
Bought TWO heat pump/AC systems to install Mon. Too many issues already with the five.year unit to throw 3000 into an air handler part with oneyear warranty when compressor alrady replaced once. and no warranty on labor. But we did get 1200 discount and will get a 900 rebate from the power co.
