Good Morning Chicks and thanks for the start Karen. Quick check in for me as the Mock Survey started at 7:30am this morning so chaos is reigning supreme! Karen - I hope that you're feeling better and that you didn't bruise and/or hurt yourself too badly with that slip and fall. How was the veggie pizza with no cheese? The vet(s) have determined that Zoe needs to have her tail amputated. There's not enough room to work with removing the existing cyst. We will need to schedule that with the surgeon for a mere $2K+. I'm in the wrong business!! Chele - so sorry to hear that still no WIFI or cable; pretty amazing the damage you were able to see once you got out and about. Hope the sinuses are better this week. Happy to know Iggy is home safely. This unna boot is effective I guess but awkward and still painful. I will have it redone tomorrow morning in the doctor's office again. Becky - take care of those knees and hope you see some improvement with the pain and discomfort each day. Soft serve ice cream sounds dreamy! It's one of my favorites. Bless Scooter being outside in that heat. Zoe will lay in the sun for a little bit but gets too hot and will always want to go back into the shade or inside. Linda - loved the cartoon and am feeling all about my body just not cooperating with anything! We had DH's buddy out on Sat. evening to recharge the AC unit so we are back in business which is good! How is DH doing? When will you have the results from his MRI or CT Scan? (sorry couldn't remember which). Kathy - your bear avatar is great but much too close for comfort for me! We see deer all the time in the neighborhood and of course Wally goes bananas and wants to chase them and the squirrels. Sometimes I think he thinks he can climb the tree after them . Mock survey, unna boot, cranky knee and yay! Regardless it's good to be alive and although not kicking, I'm at least walking ! Alright ladies, have a safe and good day. I'm off to fight the forces of mock survey evil! Ciao for now~

Liz, good to know the AC will work before it gets too hot. Wally is a hoot. Poor Zoe. I hope she won’t miss her tail too much. I know you’ll miss the money it’s going to take to fix it. But they’re worth it. Sorry you are dealing with the mock survey. 😥 I am glad the boot is doing is job. I haven’t been taking any decongestant because of possible glaucoma so sinuses are congested.
Becky. I hope the knees are okay after your walks. I know moving is essential sometimes even if it hurts because it hurts worse if you don’t move. I am sure it is nice to have Scooter outside for awhile. I know I had to make Teddy go in the backyard if I wanted to get anything done.
Linda, I don’t envy you the noise but I wouldn’t want to be in the heat either. Good luck at the dermatologist. I hope they can find out what’s wrong. Iggy won’t go for that antenna. I have tried to convince him before.
Kathy, the golfer had a cap on and was a lot thinner.
Karen, I will be interested to know how the bush tomato experiment turns out. I have been watching local news on the phone but it is an eye strain.
I called the eye care place and they are moving testing equipment to the far south office. As soon as all is in place they will call customers for new appointments. I had given them my mobile phone number and told them to remove the landline number but, of course, they had been trying to phone the landline. No one listens or were too lazy to update the records.

Liz, oh no on Zoe's tail! I would think with a tail so small, it shouldn't affect balance in a pug like it would in a basset hound, where that is rather serious. Not surprised at the cost. I don't think any of Phoebe's surgeries were less than $3500. Good luck with your bandage change. I don't think I would want to look at it after the bandage comes off. I saw numerous burn patients who underwent debridement and it wasn't a pretty site. Do you think the doc is going to require you to stay off your feet and away from the office? Not good timing with the mock audit. But then with your job, no time is a good time. LOL on Wally wanting to chase deer. Arya just stares at them until they move on and then she wants to go sniff where they were. Pain in the tush is still with me but the weird thing is that the worst pain is when I'm getting into bed.
How did the install go, Linda? Poor Micki has to be worn out. Ten year warranty sounds much more appropriate. I was also wondering when Bob's CT is scheduled for. I hope they will call soon with a date and time. Those usually don't take that long to get scheduled around here. Good luck with the dermatologist. I hope you can get some relief. I fell on my tush getting into the lake to get into the kayak on Saturday. I hit a patch of mossy rocks under the water. Still hurts but lots of padding in that area, so could have been much worse.
Chele, this week is starting out a bit different than last week. Any word on restoration of cable and WiFi? Are they from the same company? Does Iggy have any upcoming trips on the calendar? Is your glaucoma test on schedule at another facility?
What's on your agenda for the week, Kathy? I hope Publix will have their Greenwise frozen veggies on sale again here this week. Dale will be gone to his gun competition Saturday through Wednesday, so it would be a good time to have those available for quick meals. They should be on sale for you when you go shopping this week. Has DM recovered from her cold?
Becky, how far did you walk today? Is Scooter being an outside dog today? Any rain in your forecast?
Busy morning here. I swam a little over half a mile and had to make a little detour once I got into the water as a result of ducks, about half a dozen of them. It was a cooking day for Arya's pilaf and veggies. She now has 30 days of dinners to add to ground turkey and sweet potato. Doing batches this big (10 cups of grains and about a dozen bags of assorted veggies) takes a couple of hours to cook and package, but it saves so much time in the long run. I also have a load in the washer and one in the dryer. I also had to water the raised beds and everything that I got transplanted yesterday. Hoping to vacuum this afternoon. Temps are in the 70s, so quite comfortable. We are expecting rain Wednesday through Sunday and they are saying we might get 2 to 3 inches, so I may not have to water late in the week.

Chele, we cross posted. Not surprised they were still using your landline number instead of the cell like you told them to. That seems to happen a lot. How far is the "far south office" and are there other things you might want to do while you're there, or will the test make your vision too fuzzy to risk shopping, etc.? I am also anxious to see how the bush tomato technique works. I have a cherry tomato, a sauce tomato, and a couple of slicers and will try the technique on all of them. I would love to have lots of tomatoes.
Liz, the pizza was actually good without cheese. Next time I will get extra sauce, however, to give it more moistness.

Liz, hope the mock survey went well. Sorry to hear about Zoe's tail. Yikes on the cost, but hopefully that will take care of the problem. Beagles are something else when any other animal is around. I wouldn't be surprised if Wally tried to climb the trees after the squirrels. Sounds like quite the Monday with the boot, knee, and survey, but glad you're still walking and your sense of humor is intact! Linda, hope all went well at the doctors and with the AC install. That's a lot for one day. Chele, I guess it wasn't the golf cheater I was thinking of after all. It's amazing how many things the tornadoes impacted. Hope things return to normal soon. Karen, DM is mostly recovered, but is still a little stuffy. She sounds much better though. I'll be on the lookout for the Greenwise veggies. I had that Capri one again last week and I think I'm out now. They're resealing the pavement in my neighborhood and it needs 24 hours to dry, so I may not be able to get out until Wednesday. After all those days we've had with no rain, it poured right after they resealed the road in front of my house. I'm not sure if they'll have to redo it or not. It was a quick shower, so maybe didn't affect it that much. They have cones up and tape blocking anyone from driving on the road until it dries. I'm guessing I'm not going to be able to put my trash out tomorrow, so not happy about that. They were supposed to do this section Friday, but must've gotten behind. Last time they did this, I had to park the car in another part of the neighborhood the night before so I could get to work, so at least I don't have to worry about that!
Becky, walking for a few minutes at a time sounds like a good plan. Hope you see some improvement in the knees soon.

Karen, last time the eyes cleared up quickly. It is a out a 30 minute drive with no traffic snarls but usually takes 40-45 minutes. There are plenty of shops around there but it is so crowded I don’t enjoy shopping there. Sorry you are still so sore from your fall. That is a lot of cooking but I am sure little brown eyes appreciates it. 5 days with just you and Arya! Planning any bachelorette partying? What did the ducks have to say about you invading their space while swimming?
Kathy, I was wondering while I was reading what you did when you had to go to the office. What a pain having to park in another neighborhood. Of course, one would be blocked in for trash day.
We got our cable and WiFi back at about 5 pm, just in time for the local news. Ahhhh! Better now. I have to take Iggy’s vehicle in for an oil change tomorrow morning. It is in a part of town that did not see any storm damage, so that's good.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Liz I hope the chaos with the mock survey ends soon.I didn't think I had pushed it but I don't know if my leg wasn't ready for the bike this afternoon and it's not the knee so much that hurts it's around the side of my thigh.Scooter gets tired of being in the house and wants outside heat or not.She will go under the porch where it's much cooler.
Chele Actually Scooter is a quiet dog when she is inside. She always wants to stay outside after dinner especially while Kenneth is getting the cattle in the pen.I hope you get a new appointment soon.
Karen I hope your tusch feels better soon.I walked 1.3 mile this morning and when the knee hurts I slow down.Scooter stays outside while we are gone. She comes in for lunch and stays in until Kenneth goes outside then wants back out after dinner until it's time for her doggy ice cream. The best chance for rain is Wednesday. It's coming from the gulf.We may not get much accumulation. It may rain Thursday also. One day this week we are supposed to get up to 96-98.We have been very lucky to stay in the low 90's so far.Do you ever have a day when you aren't so busy?LOL.
Thanks Kathy.I'm sorry about the messed up pavement.
