Did you see the 97 yr old who did a parachute jump in tandem to commemorate D Day? Those were brave men who jumped into a hail of bullets whether it was from a plane or from a ship onto the beaches. Becky, I do the same walking through commercials. I donāt blame you for turning around at the gate when your knee started hurting. Besides there was the heat and humidity. The activity did help the sciatica. Linda, I checked my generic antihistamine and the directions say to take only one in a 24 hour period. I wouldnāt take more unless directed by a doctor like you were. Zyrtec and the others are very expensive. How was the museum yesterday? So cute about Micki being so people friendly. That was a great deal at Flemings. I hope you enjoyed it. What dessert did you get? Kathy, the best restaurant veggie burger I have had is at a local place. Mimiās Cafe used to make a decent one but they took it off the menu. Jay Alexanderās has one but I donāt like it. The local place downtown with the eggplant fries does a good Portobello burger. Okay now Iām hungry š! I would love your backyard wildlife. I hope you get some rain to fill that pond. The young squirrels were very entertaining yesterday afternoon. There were 3 amigos chasing each other on the fence, over the deck, and under the shed. They did a repeat performance after dinner. Karen, National Donut Day is tomorrow. Whew! I thought Iād missed it. Christopherās is the local joint with the best veggie burger, IMO. How is the fam in Alabam? Have you heard from them yet? Did you wiggle into your ātoeā shoes? I am sure you do miss running since you loved it so well. I miss waking up with nothing hurting. Thanks for the update on Liz. How is Arya doing? That cauliflower sounds fabulous. I felt the same way about the asparagus we got a couple of weeks ago. I had to look up dolphins succulent. I had never heard of them before. They really do look like dolphins. How was Osteo without the ensuing massage? Liz, I hope all is well with the mock survey and your wound continues to heal. The sciatica is better today. I have been moving most of the morning until I got back from some errands. I will do my stretches this afternoon. I think Iggy and I are going to make a day trip to Kokomo on Saturday. I havenāt visited Momās grave in awhile and I want to take her some flowers. I also think Iggy could use a road trip. He has a lot of ideas for work but the people are stuck in their ways and donāt want to hear it. It is very frustrating for him.

Becky, good idea to turn around as soon as the pain hit. I'm not a huge fan of the orange sweet potatoes, but I like the purple ones. I would rather have raw cauli than cooked. Are you getting any west TX dust?
Micki sounds exactly like Phoebe was, Linda. She was a great basset ambassador when we would take her to events with the basset rescue groups (even when she was projectile vomiting on the trip). Gorgeous and loaded with personality. Arya is gorgeous but on the complete other end of the spectrum so far as attitude. That's so cute about Micki wanting to visit with everyone in the neighborhood. Creme Brulee. YUM! Great choice! Cute avatar. Is that a toy turtle he's staring at?
Chele, I saw that tandem jump on the a.m. news. Better him than me! WW II was a long time ago and I'll bet you couldn't get that many people to jump from a plane with bullets flying these days. I'm happy to hear that the sciatic is responding. We only have a couple of squirrels here and they aren't overly playful. Guess they are hiding from the eagles, hawks, and other birds of prey. Interesting on National Donut Day being tomorrow instead of yesterday. The SF Giants pre-game people kept saying that the pitcher of last night's game had to give donuts on the scoreboard to the Mets. Unfortunately, the only one who got donuts was the Giants. Maybe it wouldn't have been that way if they had the right day? Haven't heard from the 'bama fama today. I'll message DSIL this evening and see how the unpacking is going. Yes, I think you need to go to Kokomo. You can get there fast and then take things slow. Oh, wait a minute...wrong part of the world. I can relate to Iggy's work frustration. Some people are just so set in their ways. Enjoy the trip. I had a personal best on one of the machines at Osteo. New kicks worked fine--toes moved and no pain. Keepers! Not doing massage any more to cut back on expenses. Dale talked to the healthcare benefits person with the bank and it seems premiums have about doubled since I covered him on my NC insurance before I went on Medicare. So sacrifices must be made.
Greenwise veggies weren't on sale today, Kathy. They had some special promotion where you buy $50 of certain products and get a $10 gift card by mail. All junk and processed foods, unfortunately. Are you expecting any rain? I got into several heavy showers in Knoxville and we're expecting that to hit here any time.
Liz, how's it going?
I found a hanging planter that will work for my new plant. Not exactly what I wanted but it will work. I'll get it transplanted this weekend and will take a picture so you can see it. Still nothing from the president for the newsletter. Deadline was yesterday. My problem with last year's president was trying to fit in his very long articles. So it's always something. Dinner time! Might check back later.

Chele, we're getting an afternoon thunderstorm now, so the pond will be a little higher. It probably won't be too long before it's full again. I really enjoy watching the wildlife on the pond and in the backyard. Squirrels are fun to watch too although those rascals at DM's place made us take down her bird feeder. They were getting on the roof and launching themselves at it. Sometimes one would get on, but the plastic cone we had over it made it hard for them to hang on. It didn't stop them from trying though. They also eat her hibiscus flowers. They'll shake the tree to get to the flowers that are closer to the ground. They must like the nectar in them. Glad the sciatica has improved. The road trip sounds like a good idea for Iggy. It is really frustrating when people won't listen to you. Karen, that's too bad on the treasurer quitting and hopefully, he'll reconsider. I'm sure that's not something people want to put up with as a volunteer. I know I'm not missing the work stress from deadlines or contentious meetings. Glad to hear the caravan has arrived and the unloading and unpacking can begin. It's a big job. Thanks for the update on Liz. How is Arya today? Congrats on the personal best on Osteo! I never like those combo deals at Publix either and they are mostly junk food. My digital coupons didn't take last week after I typed in my phone #, so not sure what happened. I only had $3 worth to test it and this week the email didn't have a coupon. Oh well! I get better deals from the Sunday newspaper coupons. Our sale cycle starts on Thursday, so I did get some Capri veggies on sale yesterday.
Sorry to hear the health insurance has gone up so much, although you were probably getting a better group rate through your plan than Dale would get as an individual. Has he looked at the ACA? Our forecast has afternoon thundershowers on most days, so water levels and lawns should return to normal unless we get another dry spell.
Becky, the humidity really does make it feel much hotter. We were less humid than normal during that heat wave, but the humidity has returned. The "feels like" temps are getting over 100, so way too hot for me to walk. I probably won't be doing regular walks outside again until the fall. Hope your knees do okay on the bike. Linda, glad you enjoyed the dinner and I'm sure Micki enjoyed the treat. There would be a lot of critters for him to investigate here. Cute pic with the turtle! Liz, glad to hear the bandage change went well and the mock survey is going okay. I'm sure you're ready for the weekend already. One more day!

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele Yes I did see the 97 yo man. That is so cool.I'm glad the activity helped your sciatica.I don't know why but our low was actually 66 this morning and at 8:00 it was only 70 with a nice breeze so I got a walk in then.It was a nice time to walk.We didn't have anywhere we had to go today so we stayed home and Scooter has been happy to be inside with me.Both Zyrtec and Claritin say the same thing so I wouldn't do it unless directed by a doctor like Linda. It's a shame tomorrow is actually National Donut Day.LOL. I will have to skip this celebration.I hope you and Iggy enjoy your road trip.
Linda I'm glad your itching is going away.
Karen We both love the orange sweet potatoes.I have never even seen the purple ones.Kenneth makes his 1/2 sweet potato into a dessert with cinnamon and Redi Whip on his.I keep telling him it's sweet enough without adding the Redi Whip.LOL.No dust but we did get a little t-storm.At least it didn't turn into a bad storm like they were predicting.
Kathy I am glad you are enjoying watching the wildlife.
I got my letter from ERS yesterday saying I was eligible for insurance but it wasn't automatic and I had to call at least 1 mo before my 65th b/d.It's not until Aug but I called this morning and they are in the process of getting things together and will send me info in a few weeks.
