Diva, have a great day. Bee, on Friday we have an hors d'oeuvres party for the family and I make an appetizer that is prosciutto with a few arugula leaves, fennel pieces, machego cheese and drops of olive oil on top and then it is rolled. I am not sure where it came from but I have made it for several years. Your sandwich sounds so good. Ann and Susi, I hope you both feel better. Susi, your meals are so gourmet. LaDonna, it sounds like you had a great time at the party. I hope your little four year old is better. Go Raiders and Derek Carr, who is a "local boy" from nearby Bakersfield and was quarterback at Fresno State, the team that this year was the worst team in the nation. We now have Jeff Tedford as coach, an alumni and knows how to recruit those local boys. June, remember that in addition to water, take a bit of time to rest and reflect. This is one of the busiest if not the busiest weeks of the year. Conversation wth DH: He asks why do you have to get the floor cleaned this week. Everything is such an inconvenience for him. My response, "Most people want their house clean for Christmas because family and friends are coming and you don't want to look like a dirty housekeeper. Remember why the windows were cleaned at the beginning of the month." He is so clueless. I've been taking Airborne and Trader Joe's Vitamin C energy complex. I so want tea more than water but try to alternate. Have a great day.

Good afternoon,
It's sunny and chilly here; DH and I are both grading (tedious). LaDonna, I made a list of 0 point snacks (mostly fruit and veg, or very small quantities of other stuff) and 1 point snacks (some reasonable like 1.5 cups popcorn, others mainly for comparison so I can tell myself "Why would I want one measly cracker with peanut butter for 1 point when I could have a whole apple for 0 points?"
A good Monday to all.

June, hope you got your water quota. I haven't yet, but I am eating really good. Going make me some Vata tea with some fresh ginger.
Ann, glad to hear your tummy is better. I really think ginger is a miracle worker.
Gotta, my DD is nuts over the yeti thingie. It is too big for my hands. BUT someone did give her a thing you hook on that makes it have a handle.
Naomi, I can't bake without tasting. I love raw cookie dough better than the cookies, and cake batter also. LOL Now regular cooking, I am good --- I just taste after done.
Oh, yeah, Susi, prosciutto with cantaloupe or honey dew melon is almost too good. LOL Hope you get and stay warm.
Audrey, I am copying that prosciutto recipe. Hope it all goes well.
Tam, sounds like a plan.

Tamarry, my neighbor teaches business classes at Fresno State and was so glad to be done last Friday. She just had to turn in grades. It is so stressful with so little turn around time between exams and when grades are due. Bee, just use a few arugula leaves, grated machego and a few drops of the olive oil because you need to be able to wrap them without the contents coming out.
