WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C98D1!!!!!!! Finally a new cycle. 19 points, 4 rollovers, 8 water, 1314 calories, 10,345 steps.
I was looking around for something to eat toward the end of the 3-1/2 hour Tonies. I chose to have a banana which explains the extra points. Could have had a less healthy choice. Took a very long walk this morning with my friend and later to and from the clubhouse for pool.

18 points 1356 calories 46 APs I didn’t mean to be so low in points yesterday, I just followed my hunger. I did a 7.6 mile run and 20 mile bike ride. I anticipate today being higher in points and calories given my activity yesterday. My allergies are acting up again today. Ugh. And of course I have a long day ahead of my in anticipation of taking Friday off for college orientation. Nancy, thanks for the cherry juice info. I may try it. The marine collagen has just about cleared up my foot issues, but my ankle and Achilles have been a little sore lately. Nice step count yesterday! The foam roller helps with myofascial release. It really helps on days when my muscles are tired and sore. I use it mainly on my hips, IT band, and quads. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myofascial_releaseLori, when do you leave? Cindy, hooray for four pounds! Kathy, safe travels.

Nancy, Big Congrats on C 98!! Your stats are awesome!! Thank you so much for the cherry juice information - it has not affected your weight but I'm just curious if you you count it in your daily stats or treat it as an extra? It's definitely worth a try...I'll be adding it to my shopping list for when I return.
Jan, Wow, that's a low point day and great calorie day with all your activity!! I love that your listening to your hunger signals. Interesting about the myofascial - I'll have to use my foam roller more often, I tend to only pull it out when my IT bands get too tight. You girls are so knowledgeable!! Love reading your posts.
We leave for vacation very early Wednesday morning, around 4 a.m. I just looked at my weight and notes from the last time we went to St. Maarten 2017. I was 6 pounds up when I returned. I plan to enjoy my meals, healthy snacks in between, limit a dessert to one or two, there will be more alcohol drinking involved and lots of walking and swimming. My goal is to do better than the last time but I'll be okay if I'm withing 5 pounds. We return on Tuesday night, the 18th, I'll have the 19th at home to unpack and grocery shop. Back to work on the 20th.

Jan - I went to that link but it was like a foreign language. Can you tell me in plain English what that roller would or wouldn't do for me. Thanks
Lori - I do not include the cherry juice in my stats. I think of it as medicine. Your vacation sounds lovely. You know how to do this and will certainly improve upon last time - but the top priority IMHO is to enjoy yourself. Any gain will be easily reversible.
Cindy - a full week! I am "kvelling" - google it if necessary <g>
