I think this is more true than I want to believe it is. I often think that if I have a lighter or liquid dinner it will do the trick...and it does in some ways but I do want to move to "the right foods" in the right quantities and make it a habit for the rest of my life!
Karen: Sorry your father is in the hospital. It sounds like a long day in the car and at the hospital - glad your daughter was with you.

Thanks! And I felt that I did eat right. It's hard sometimes. I had everything I needed to make a nice dinner last night but almost didn't. I was really tired and just wanted to chill but I had a talk with myself and just dove in and got going. Ate a smallish portion with my favorite salad and that was it. My husband came home for dinner and had a real meal! I felt good about it but I was so close to not doing it. I think part of eating right is to respect portion size and in some cases eat less too.

Sure I could eat steamed kale or broccoli and not fatten up but many things need portion control too. I feel I do both.
Amazing to me you dove in and made dinner after all that. Hard to do sometimes for sure.
