Wednesday's goals Make an effort to start preparing for Canada. I have had zero desire. I can not wing it since a trip to the nearest town would be 6-7 hour round trip. I usually shop for bargains & such plus plan creative meals. this year my goals is basic- buy some gosh darn food that will consume less space. Our new truck only has 6.5 bed and no cap. Am thinking that I will use more canned goods to cut down some bulk.
make a full fledge grocery run & eat three meals. Feeling <meh> about most foods, but that has to change.
Waving "hi" to everyone.

Yesterday I heard from the KORU (romance writers of new zealand) organizer for award districution asking for help. Some of the people that promised to read books did NOT read and judge the books and she needed reassign the books. I said yes even though my daughter will be here then learned it is a 350 paage book! YIKES. Ah well...I have till the 21st or 28th. It will get done.
I also did five hours of cleaning. I worked in my daughter's bedroom moving furniture to vacuum then mop then moved furniture back intoo place, dusted, mopped, put on fresh linen and today will clean her bathroom. I also tidied in my bedroom and did a few other things. It was five hours work by the time I finished and I then needed a shower and read to relax...a book by an author from New Zealand that I always enjoy. MFP said I was in calorie deficit by the end of the day BUT the scale did not agree this morning
Today I tackle the main floor and the room upstairs next too the master bedroom that we sit in sometimes...might not sit there during summer since there isn't a fan and choose another room instead. I should also do a bit of laundry.
I will: exercise by cleaning, eat healthy foods in moderation, hydrate, stay positive.
SUSI: Never have had a colonoscopy. I don't know that I would want to do one here in Lebanon. My brother and sister-in-law have had them but my sister has agreed with her doctor on some other way of assessing that is less invasive. You are right that I will only be able to do what I can before she arrives. Hamatoura is just one of many such places in Lebanon. We have seen quite a few in all states of repair and disrepair since my daughter seems to enjoy finding them so she can use photos and such in her class presentations. I hope to be fit enough to make the walk and know we will be seeing other places, too.
MJ: Let the Diva Taxi wheels roll...hope you have fun driving and then doing whatever you do while you wait for people to be taken to the next place.
ANN: I remember playing in the rain when I was young and living in Des Moines. We had to come inside/get out of the pool if there were thunderstorms but otherwise enjoyed being out in the rain...funny how that changes.
LADONNA: I hate cleaning...and like you...once I start I want it to be nice and to get it all done...or at least the area I am working on. My sister said she talked to a friend who used a maid service weekly but when she and her husband retired opted out of the maid service thinking they would do it together...which proved to be her because he was busy. They talked then set aside Thursday to clean together and it is working for them. Might broach that idea to my husband. I almost think one day a week with him would be wiser than thinking a little bit each day and never doing the little bit. I used to work 10 hour night shifts in Neurosurgical ICU...I was always tired!
AUDREY: Your walk to the labyrinth sounds so peaceful and the other options you mentioned doing or learning about sound interesting. Hope you enjoyed the cool bubble bath and had a good book to read.
PAM: I still don't get how some foods that used to be lower in points are higher and higher ones are lower. Hope you enjoyed the oatmeal!
BECKY: Walking in a light shower (as long as my pants didn't chafe) sounds nice. Did they inject cortisone or something else into your knees? Mr. Broom didn't get quite the workout that Mr. Vacuum did because my husband need the vacuum, too
BEE: You had me smiling talking about the way you named the days by what happened. I bet what you ate won't impact you all that much in the long run!
Okay...will finish up on the computer then begin dealing with the house. My reward for finishing the main floor and room upstairs will be to read the rest of the book I started last night then start another one...both by authors I always enjoy reading. AND that said...as Susi said I will do what I am able to (or choose to) and remember that as my husband mentioned - it is our daughter coming to visit and what is not finished she can actually help us with.

June <<<hugs>>> It's going to be tough with everything going on but hopefully you will be able to focus and enjoy the trip to Canada. Becky - Enjoy your shopping Audrey - Sounds like things have iproved. Good attitude Cathy. And it sounds like you got a lot accomplished! I had no cable services last night - no phone, tv, internet - so I read. Too late! Off to the gym, a good breakfast and then no ore food until after the colonoscopy tomorrow. Fortunately I don't start the prep liquids until near the end of the work day. Otherwise I will be busy at work to make up for losing tomorrow.

Good morning all. June thanks for starting us off. You have a great plan for your trip to Canada. Enjoy ((hugs)) Becky great goals. I picked up yogurt yesterday but forgot milk. Always something. I KNOW that I won't leave the market with just that LOL. Audrey would love to be a part of the lecture re: the feet. Sounds interesting. Enjoy. Cathy I hope the book you have to read is enjoyable and not just 'words' if you know what I mean. Susi sorry for you power outage. Glad you had a good book to pass the time. Good luck with the colonoscopy. I swear that the prep is the worse part. It's very foggy here at the moment. Supposed to burn off and be a nice day. After coffee I'll sit and plan and track. I want another OP day under my belt

DivaTaxi. MHMR. The housecleaners will be at the MousekeHouse from 8-10 AM. (so I hang around to lock up). Then I have a list of errands, including CVS for two scripts and Father's Day cards.
Then Toots & I will work on some outdoor CinderElla/Fella tasks before tomorrow's bad weather moves in. There's a YM drill tonight from 5:30 to 8 PM, so the Kressling will be in the mix.
Dinner will be fuzzyLogic chicken (MUST remember to get it in the pot, LOL).
Perhaps mainlining coffee will help... โโโ...

Goooooood morning
Hmmm.... I will pull out my master list & menus for Canada and start my preparations. I will follow my own advice --do the doable. I am looking forward to seeing clouds of butterflies, soaring eagles, moose, even bears if they are viewed from a distance orthe truck.
I have to book our hotel in Maniwaki & check on our worm order. Funny story-- our neighbor knows the local man who picks worms for the area bait stores. So we have a direct "worm connection."
Will plan my meals today!

Audrey Hope that your views of Tucson are beautiful. Have been there many times during the international gem shows. There is something magical about Sequoia Natl. Park at sunrise or sunset. Love that the spa has a holistic approach to health. Love even more that you are tailoring the experience to your body, need, and interests
Cathy Nice that you can enjoy a good book even as you work on your reviews & prepare for your daughter. Like the idea of scheduling a day for cleaning as a couple. That gives your 6 days to do whatever else you want that is NOT cleaning! Good plan for the day!
Susi Thank goodness for having a good book to read. My DH watches TV, I more or less sort of listen as I read. No wonder I rarely recognize any actor's face. Good luck w/ colonoscopy. Hope that you got the low volume prep. It cost R & me $100 each even w/ ins., but it was worth every penny.
Ann Am hoping that you get the beautiful summer day that you ordered. Yesterday the sky here was that piercing blue, the rare clouds were wispy, and the sun was shining. Was very pleasant to swing w/ my mom.
Mj Hope that you find your sunbeam in which to bask. I intend to take a quiet moment for myself to do the same today. Hahaha... yes, that cook will not jump into the pot by itself.

Ann Yes, having the inside track on "the guy" makes me smile. Our neighbor likes to do this for us, and we like saving $$. When we priced worms in 2016, they were $70-75 for a flat!
Thxfor the book recommendation.
Bee j Yep-- doing what you know to do is a good way to go!
