Began the cleaning around 2 and worked till 4 then sat an hour and worked 5-8. It was a LOT of sweeping, vacuuming, dusting and mopping. I finished my room and the room my daughter will stay in but need to still do one room upstairs, the kitchen and the rest of the main floor. It will get done. Five hours total for yesterday. I may wait to start in today till after lunch so I can shower and relax when I finish - as I did yesterday.
BOB: So glad you stopped and did not hit the deer. Hitting a deer with a car can be hard on the car so hitting a deer while on a bike could be an end changer! My nephew was involved in a hit and run while riding a month or so ago....he got a new bike out of it from his insurance company and was lucky it did not injure him more than it did. Stay safe! (Daughter arrives tomorrow night...at 10:35pm...so it will be a late night since we will have to wait for her to get through customs and then drive an hour or more to get home.)

Yeah more like braked pretty hard and slowed way down. I just googled bicycles hitting deer and of course there is a u-tube of a guy hitting a deer with his bicycle near Tucson Arizona going down Mt Lemmon at 40 mph earlier this year. YIKES. Apparently both were ok. Bikes are so light that often dogs and animals don't appear to be that much worse for wear when struck. In over 119,000 miles of cycling I have been way too close to deer two times for sure and maybe three times. I braked hard doing the Seattle to Portland (200 miles in one day ride) bike ride. I saw the doe come out into the street as I was going downhill near Centralia WA. Slowed from about 30 MPH to more like 10 MPH. A fawn followed her into the road then another fawn and yes a third fawn (you know the one youngster who pays no attention) who dashed to catch up. I felt like I would have been in imminent danger of hitting the third fawn if I hadn't braked hard for the Doe. The only furry critter I have run over in the last 119,000 miles was a squirrel who amazingly looked mostly unhurt. I am very afraid of squirrels as they like rabbits dodge back and forth and IF they get into the front spokes it is terrible for both cyclist and squirrel.
Glad your daughter will be there soon late night and all. Yesterday I rode 40' to YOGA for a 60' yoga class. Later I rode to REI for another 35'. I mowed the lawn EARLY for 30' as it got to 95°F+ later in the day.
