Cleaned a few hours yesterday and finished most of the dusting and vacuuming of the main floor. Need to still mop the kitchen but...time will tell if it gets done or not. Hubby had a call this morning that had us on the road to drop him at the bus station to go to Beirut with me to follow BUT in the end the apartment plumbing problem did not concern our apartment but someone else's so we bought groceries, came home, ate lunch and now will do what needs to be done before heading in to the airport this evening. It will be a good (but long) day.
LYNN: I still don't get the new points thing. From what people say they are penalizing food for being higher in carbs and sugars and fats but in the end it all really is pretty much calories? Whatever...don't have the program so am not doing the program...will do something else like...count calories or exchanges or something. Hope the meeting went well!
BEVERLY: Glad you enjoyed your birthday. Have fun with your cousin at the timeshare. Your husband has his brother and SIL and others nearby if he gets lonely
PAM: Hooray for ears cleaned of wax, food in the larder and laundry done!

Good morning. Around here we have more of the striped gophers than the larger pocket gophers. It was probably the rabbits that ate my peas, though. The fence will keep them out. Not so much the gophers. I still have a few peas left, so I think I'll plant them beside the chomped off peas. I don't know whether the chomped peas will come back and grow or not. They're not totally gone so maybe they will get some new leaves. We'll see. If it was gophers, they will eat the new ones too.
I'm going to plant the peas this morning, then I need to make a run into town for some errands and some groceries.
Have a good day, beaches.

Good morning friends,
I ended up not going to the time share after all. Cuz & I just decided not to go, we opted for a day of just shopping closer to home. We had fun, we always do. I have very little family left & she is about the one that I spend the most time with. She will turn 85 this year, so she is moving a bit slower now (aren't we all).
A beautiful day here, sunshine & 80 deg. We will go to town & run a few errands, beings I am home & the weather is so nice. I have to go over to DD's house & wait for the plumber again this afternoon. The faucet that he fixed last week, is leaking again!
Cherry, I love hearing about your garden!! I love fresh green peas, I haven't had them in a long time. They can't grow here unless you get them planted in March. The weather is just too hot for them. We don't have gophers here that I know of, but we do have moles. I don't think the moles bother the plants, other than to burrow under them & eat the roots, which can kill the plant.
Cathy, Hope you enjoy your DD's visit!! I'm sure she won't care about the condition of the house! I'm sure she is excited too.
Lynn, I am struggling to get back on track myself. I think the secret (if there is a secret) is going to the meetings. I just gets to be a habit of going or not going.
Pam, enjoy beauty of your area, I'm sure it is lovely this time of year.
Great Thursday everyone.

Hi all!
I was going through more things and drawers in my room...I can't believe I have so many clothes!! I packed them up for my cleaning lady who has relatives who can use them.
I did sign us up this morning for another cruise next year. I can't believe DH agreed as he thought our last one was too long! This is two weeks too...we leave from NY and have 4 days at sea and then we visit Portugal, 4 spots in Spain, Florence Italy, Cannes, France, the Azores and fly back from Rome. This trip is cheaper than the last one, but I'm not complaining. I have something to look froward to for next year.
The meeting last night went well and I'm glad it is over. It is rainy here and a good day to read.
Cathy, enjoy your visit. Bev, you, too!!
Waving to Pam and Cherry!
