Good morning.
This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Good morning ladies. I am off today! woo hoo!
I am going to meet a DF for breakfast. I do not see her very often anymore and I am looking forward to the chance to catch up with her.
After breakfast I am doing the grocery store runs for the week and when I get back I will pack DH and I up so when he is done with work we can head to the beach with some other DFs. I am really looking forward to this trip as the sun is supposed to be shining and I will not be in mud all weekend.
I really need to weed my flower bed - between cracked ribs and all the rain we have had the weeds are trying to take over I am going to try to get that one night next week.
I am waving to everyone. I will check in when I can this weekend. I am not taking my computer or tablet and I don't know if DFs even have an internet service at their beach house.
Oh my weight this morning is back to what it was last Friday - LOL - fingers crossed that I do not gain too much this weekend and I don't spend all of next week trying to lose my weekend regain. This is our last out of town trip until our big vacation in October (unless we find another camping trip with good weather that is close by) so it should be much easier to at least maintain through the weekends.
I hope everyone has amazing weekends.

Good morning and Happy Friday!! Or in Jana's case - Let the Weekend Begin!
I slept a little later this morning, and it felt good! No plans for today, except waiting on the roof guys and trying to bear the banging without going nuts. At least with DH having gone into the office today, I can crank the TV up to hear that a little better if I wanted to watch something. Yesterday I didn't because I didn't want to just add another layer of noise while he was trying to work. I spent most of yesterday painting. I started on a new subject matter and I'm really enjoying doing it. Have you heard of Fairy Gardens? People usually carve out a little area in the flower garden and put in little objects like maybe a house, a swing, a doorway, etc. for garden fairies. It's cute and maybe just a southern thing but seems to be popular with the Grandma/Granddaughter set. Anyway, I painted a fairy door and it was so much fun that I created 2 more. I'm thinking I might do some more when these are completed. They're really cute and require some great and fun detail.
Jana - enjoy your weekend at the beach house. It sounds lovely! Our flower bed is a complete disaster. Actually I'm not even sure it technically a "flower" bed. It only has those random shrubs and no actual flowers. Ha!
Okay, I need to get Lily up, fed and outside before the roofers get here. Once they're stomping around out there, she'll get freaked out and I'll never get her to go outside.

Good morning ROs.
Jana, have a fabulous time! You so deserve a break and going to a beach house sounds perfect. We'll try to survive here without you but it won't be easy. I always look forward to your posts...
Lora, hope the banging isn't too bad today. Hopefully they'll be done with the roof soon? It will be so nice to get that out of the way and get some peace and quiet back.
I have a midday meeting with staff at one of our upstate offices so have an easy day ahead. I have to do the online HIV confidentiality training which is required by NYC since we have a housing contract with them for people with HIV. It's so annoying because I'm mandated to take one annually for NY State, but the city doesn't recognize the state's training. Typical. Should take me about an hour to go through the modules and take the quiz that follows each one. They have it set up so you can't speed ahead so it will take what it takes.
I went to training this morning and it was a hard session, probably made harder by having been away for a week when I did nothing except a hike one day and walk on another, but lots of sitting around. And I've been deep in the food, yanking myself out and back on track today because I go on my hiking trip to the Adirondacks in exactly 2 weeks and I want to be 5 lbs lighter and super fit. And back in control. We're staying at a place that has a kitchenette so I can bring breakfasts and lunches with me up there. Dinners I assume we'll be eating out. I'm sharing a cottage or "chalet" with DSister and her DBF.
Have a great day all.

Good morning everyone -
Jana have so much fun at the beach. You deserve some fun!
Lora my niece and nephews have a fairy garden in their front yard. It's so cute!
Andi I hope you are where you want to be before the hiking trip - it's such a nice area. Used to go out there on retreats when I worked in NY.
Started off this morning doing presentations at orientation. I have stuff basically all day today. Meetings and the like. The downside is that it's tiring. The upside is that the day should go quickly.
Hoping everyone has a great Friday!

Good Morning...ate W-A-Y too much last night, so I am really reigning it in today - lol. So far I have had only water, but I am fixing my coffee now. Went to my morning gym class...and I am going back to the gym at noon when DH goes for his aqua session and I will ride the bike and read. We have nothing definite planned for today... I may go to an end of the year party at a former colleague's home for a little bit...we also talked about going to a wine pick-up party at a vineyard that is about 1 1/2 hours away.
Jana - oh you sound so excited about your weekend at the beach - wonderful - have a good time. Oh, I got a memory on FB that 4 years ago we met at the park to take a walk...wow, how time flies!
Lora - the fairy garden sounds really cute...can't wait to see some pics - hope they finish the roof today
Andi - I hated having to do all those modules every year when I was teaching. Sounds like you are with me in reigning in on the food issue. Oh the hiking sounds like so much fun. I need to plan something else that is fun or a vacation-type activity! I am going to push DH into planning a cruise since we need to do something together (my weekend away in Alabama was a real treat).
Amanda - hope the day does go quickly for you and you can relax this evening. Anything sound promising on your other searches???

Bang, bang, bang, bang. BANG! BANG! BANG!
Just thought I'd share a little of my day with y'all. Haha! They're about to start putting metal up. Yay! The team leader said he thinks they may be able to finish tomorrow. If not, they'll be back Sunday morning to finish what's left. He said they've gotten a little behind this week, because several of the crews have guys out sick with a virus. But they're back to full strength today, so I've got 3 on the roof and one working on yard clean-up and blowing and cleaning out the gutters, while the other guys are hammering and drilling things up top.
Andi - I'm more than a little jealous of your Adirondacks hike and stay. That sounds like something lovely to have to look forward to.
Amanda - Yay for days that pass quickly!! Lol. Hopefully it won't wear you out too much. I'd hate for that to ruin your weekend.
Susie - I started my 4th Fairy Door this morning, it's actually more of a little house with a "thatch" roof, door and window. I can send you pics via private message if you'd like. It will be a while, as the #2 and #3 are in the process of being sealed and #4 is still in the paint drying stage. haha. I think you'd definitely enjoy seeing your former colleagues. I bet they're all terribly jealous of your retired status.
Well, I need to start thinking about lunch, I guess. I'm thinking maybe I'll make some egg salad. I HB'd a bunch of eggs in the IP on Wednesday morning, so there are plenty of those just waiting to be gobbled up.

Lora - thanks for that laugh...sorry for all the banging at your house. I ended up not going to the end-of-the-year party...DH really wanted to invite friends and go to the winery (he doesn't drink at all, but just wanted to spend some time together and 3 hours in a car will definitely give us that) so I invited our DFs and they could do it. The pick-up gathering is from 5:00 - 7:00 so we r going to pick up our DFs at 3:30 and head to Charlottesville, VA

Hi Everyone, Today was the last day of school for my kids for the Preschool program but a few of them are kids that are extended care children so they were there and being annoying but one of the teachers from the other class took my four to the playground with her class and a few other classes. Next week I dont have to deal with them and I really need to work on finishing my files, cleaning and getting rid of clutter. I left early to get a form notarized for the settlement. I originally planned to walk over to the post office to put everything in the envelope but I decided I'd rather do in a more private area and I didnt have some of the supplies I needed and wasnt sure if the post office would have what I needed. Since its a fed ex package really I didnt need to go to the post office specifically. I know of at least a few places where there is a box for Fed Ex packages. Now with the exception of not having signed the title I have everything ready to go. If I had done it at the post office I realized I might have missed putting in one paper that was needed. Lora, glad that the roofing is getting almost finished. Jana, I hope you have a great time at the beach. Tommorow I have plans for lunch with my friends that I usually go up to the camp with. Two of the ladies live in a long term facility and the one lady and her husband gets meals each month but they dont always use them all so she invited us for lunch. I have to pick up my medicine either tommorow or in Sunday. I was thinking of trying to visit my friend that I usually shop for but have to figure out to walk there the shortest way. I am falling asleep so will say gn. Take care.
