Thanks for the start, Karen. I haven’t tried any of the Teavana’s iced teas. My local Kroger only has the tea sachets. I just checked the Meijer app and they have the green tea peach, Meyer lemon black, and pineapple berry blue. So far I have not done a menu. I will just be winging it like a giant egret floating over a lake. I guess with Dale’s Muck boots we can call him a muckety-muck (VIP). How dare you leave the little sweet potato to go kayaking! Humans! Yikes on another tick. I am glad you found it before it totally embedded. Liz, Monday came fast I am sure. Do you long for the Voldemort days? Smack me, if you feel like it. It kinda sounds worse than when he was ruining your life but I am not there to compare. I hope the ankle is doing okay. How are Gary and the pups? I assume the spasm moved something off the nerve so the pain diminished. Becky, I am glad you and Kenneth enjoyed the meal at the auction. Good chocolate cake is my favorite dessert. I rarely order it because, unlike you, I would not stop at 3 bites. Kathy, we are getting almost daily rain but not in the quantities that you are seeing. We have storm doors are the front and back doors. The one at the back door was mis-hung and I have had to call numerous times to get it fixed. It os overcast right now but we are expecting thunderstorms this afternoon. All the rain is making it difficult for people to clean up/rebuild after the tornadoes. Richmond IN had a tornado on Saturday. It is just 46 miles west of here. That is so sad about the duck family. You know My Elmer Fudd would like to see the demise of a flock of Canadian geese in the pond at the main road just a tenth of a mile from our house. Linda, how is Bob doing? Has he recovered from his procedure? How are you doing after yours? Not sore, I hope. Thanks for the heads up on the Ragu sauce. I am waiting for Spectrum. We changes boxes this weekend. The DVR box wasn’t working right and we decided we didn’t need to pay the monthly fee for DVR and get a regular STB. Iggy has to use closed captioning and we can’t seem to adjust it smaller or get rid of the fuzziness. I am not sure there is anything they can do. It might just be the configuration of the but what the heck. They don’t charge for a visit.

Not a good time for flour users. Thanks for the tips, Linda.
The cable guy gave us another new box and the closed captioning works great. Iggy had asked for the newest box when we were at the store but the cable guy said they gave us a Time Warner box. The new box doesn’t have a clock and has a different remote. All the FAQs online that I looked at yesterday showed the screens for the box we got today.

Linda, thanks for the recall info. Wasn't e-coli the contamination in the King Arthur flour as well? Wonder if there is a connection to the Pillsbury. Maybe they are packaged at the same place. Odd about the raspberries supposedly being infected with norovirus. That is so contagious. I'm glad that's not my brand. I just saw a frozen burrito recall that people are saying they found rocks. I think they are El Monterey. Sure seems to be a rash of recalls over the past few days. When will you hear back on your mammogram? How are things going with the AC guys? I had a feeling the dog's little faces would be the most challenging part of the painting. How was art class today?
Are you going to try the Teavana iced, Chele? According to the Walgreen's website, my local store may have the pineapple berry blue, which is one I really want to try, along with the Passion Tango. Most of them have green, black, or white tea in them, so probably not an option with my being caffeine sensitive. Congrats on the new cable box working so well. It's a shame they didn't give you that one to begin with. Enjoy winging the menu for the week. LOL on Dale being a muckety-muck. Guess that makes me one as well because we both got a pair at the same time. Sweet Potato is plastered to me again today and I have master gardeners this evening, so she'll have to plaster herself to her daddy for the evening.
Liz, it looks like you just got out of NC before the shark attacks started. You picked a good week to be there, and not just for stellar weather. Were there any shark sightings that you know of while you were there?
Are you still getting rain, Kathy? Which direction does your front door face? I hadn't even thought about what you might get from hurricanes and tropical storms. Amazing that you had 50 mph wind gusts yesterday. Do you think if you got a storm door it would hold up to the wind, or would it be like Chele's that is frequently out of kilter? Towels are a good stop gap. Could be a weird summer when you get more rain. With the way things have been everywhere, anything could happen. Hope you don't have wood floors butting right up to that door.
Becky, does the auction go on all week or just on certain days? How's your weather? Were you able to walk outdoors today?
I swam over 1/2 mile this morning and the lake was a lot cooler than I thought it was going to be, but it felt good. I have the 2nd load of laundry in and Arya has her week's worth of boiled eggs. I'm down 1.8 lbs from the last time I weighed, which was probably about a month ago. Maybe 1200 calories and 15% from fat is starting to kick in. Or not. Guess we'll see. I hope tonight's meeting will be less contentious than last month's was. We'll see if anyone steps up to be treasurer or if the president will have to beg. One of the other board members suggested the person who caused the issue last month should do it but I said I didn't think I would trust him with our money. Hope I don't have rain coming home. We have some scattered showers but the ones on the radar are really heavy, so if I get in one it will be a doozy. At least it shouldn't be dark coming home. I'm one of those folks who never liked to drive at night.

Good Afternoon Chicks and thanks for the start Karen. Chele - so strange you mentioned Voldemort as I actually spoke his name on Friday. Couldn't believe I said that in some ways I actually missed him ! Quite a good haul from the farmer's for you! I also coincidentally think we need a new cable box. I've been having weeks of trouble with the on-demand section and it all too frequently needing to be re-booted. Gray today but rain is on the way unfortunately. Leg is healing with the closed vein but the wound is a cranky so and so!! Kathy - how wild to have the water come in like that with all that you have tried. I hope you get some dry weather this week before you start growing webbed feet . Just continuing to try to get caught up on everything since the mock survey. One good thing is that the VP is on vacation this week (happy dance/if I could!!). Stay dry and hope things get better soon! Linda - thank you for the recalls. I had seen most of them previously but still very disconcerting! Glad you are were able to relax a bit after all that busy work and errands. What ended up happening with the car key? Becky - I will be with you in the loose skin world ! Most predominantly my arms, the rest of me isn't too bad but I also haven't lost the incredible amount of weight that you did. I hope that injection site stops hurting you; it does seem a bit odd even with your self-proclaimed bony knees . I have swollen and cranky knees and a not so happy left hip. If it's not one thing apparently it needs to be 6!! Karen - Yikes on that little tick! That disturbs me profoundly!! Very glad it was found and removed but not so happy with the lingering itching. Chuckling over Chele's Mucky-Muck for Dale and the muck boots. Thank goodness he had them. I went grocery shopping yesterday morning and then walked the pups. After that I was pretty much a tired kiddo with a few pup walks in between. I managed to make Gary his spaghetti and turkey meatball dinner with a very nice Strawberry Shortcake that I had picked up at Whole Foods on Saturday. Wow on those winds and white caps while kayaking! Alright dear ladies, I am off to fight the forces of evil once more. Have a safe afternoon and evening. Ciao for now~

For those of you with air fryers, I saw a warning on Fat Free Vegan to never plug them into any kind of adapter--always plug directly into the wall. The blogger almost had a fire from plugging hers into one.
Also, Dale heard from his boss and the company is suggesting a 2 month unpaid sabbatical or going to part time, in lieu of his quitting. Don't know what he's going to do. I said maybe cut back to 2 days a week and getting them to keep him on insurance as part of the deal. His decision, so we'll see what he wants to do.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele I didn't order the chocolate cake.Their specials always include dessert and it's always different each week. The problem was they brought the cake before the food so I had to eye it too long.Oh well so far it hasn't caused a problem weight wise.Sorry your DVR receiver wasn't working properly.Closed caption drives me crazy so I'm glad both of us hear well enough to use it the regular way.I am glad you got the right box today.
Karen The auction at the location we went to goes from 12:00 until all the animals are bought or sold on Saturdays only.Other auctions have them on different days. It's always the same day of the week.We got 1" rain last night and it cooled off things nicely so I walked around 8:00 when it was a lovely 68 degrees. It's only 83 at 3:45.We went to HEB afterwards and I rode the bike this afternoon.Congrats on your weight loss.
Liz I'm glad the vein is healing. My knees are bony on top.I'm not sure if it's the actual injection spot on my left knee but it's still sore.A former nurse explained to me they inject the fluid in a place where there is no room to inject anything which is why it hurts.I think they are a little better.I have the loose skin under both arms, the back side of both legs and below my navel which is why I won't buy a swimsuit.I wear tank tops but not normally when I'm around people I know.LOL.Since I had the injections when I walk my right hip is cranky when I walk.I notice I put more weight on my right side so I'm sure that's why.Wishing those evil forces to fly away and go after someone else.
Waving to Kathy and Linda.

Chele, DM just had a new storm door put in and is already having problems with the weather stripping and the door sticking when you open it. She's had the guy back a few times, but it's still sticking. I think he did fix the weather stripping, so we'll see. That's awful for the tornado victims to be getting more rain. I haven't seen any more details about why the ducks were killed. That particular breed can be a nuisance and since they aren't native to FL, they can't just be relocated as I was thinking. Have the geese been causing problems? Glad they got your DVR box straightened out. I've had the same STB since I moved here, so I'm overdue for an upgrade.
Linda, thanks for the info on the recalls. I don't have any of that on hand, but good to know.
Karen, I'm hoping I can find some of the unsweetened Teavana iced teas near me. The sweetened ones have a good amount of sugar in them. We got a shower today, but nothing severe. My door faces east. I think the storm door would probably get out of kilter like my mom's, so I haven't gotten one. My roof line goes over the entry way, so there is at least some protection. DM doesn't have any cover over her door, so really needs the storm door more. I have tile in the entryway, so no issues. It only took one paper towel to wipe up the water. For comparison, I put 3 or 4 bath towels up against the bottom of the door before the hurricanes and they were dripping wet. Congrats on the loss. Any loss is good. Hope the meeting goes okay and people behave. Two days a week with insurance wouldn't be bad. My company would do that too, but they prorated the insurance if you went to less than 30 hours a week. Still not a bad deal.
Liz, it must be bad if you're missing Voldemort. Yay on the VP being out of town! I actually prefer the rainy days to the scorching hot ones, although I could do without the lightning. I'm a wimp about walking across a parking lot while there is lightning, but DM and I saw a lot of people do it when we were in the car the other day.
Becky, I could never eat just 3 bites of chocolate cake, especially if it was good, so that's impressive!
