suewms, I love your organization and "selection" of meats to choose. I meant to add that I bought a frozen box of the Jenny O Turkey Burgers and they are so good and a good size. I grilled a few last night. Had mine minus the bun but DH had his on a lite English muffin. We had another prescription plan snafu that they can't seem to resolve until we have talked to people in India, the Philippines and finally Orlando. Long story but the big company DH worked for has us both on their commercial prescription plan for retirees. I guess there was a switch to Silver Scripts but they failed to tell CVS (who handled the commercial plan). Long story short, he and I both had notifications of canceled insurance. WHAAAT? Then, we gave affidavits over the phone that indeed we had coverage the entire time. Medicare wrote saying we had a long lapse - they did not know about the commercial account and only saw the new Silver Scripts recent enrollment. Medicare mentioned penalties for years of no insurance and of course we did have insurance. Someone messed up, but it wasn't us. While we struggle to fix all this, I wonder what some other folks do who either don't have the same perseverance or know how to see that this is an insurance error not a user errors. It's a confusing system and one arm does not talk to the other. Hopefully it is set now.

Our carpets are clean and look amazing. We love the guys that provide such a fantastic service. We also had them clean our sectional sofa a few months ago. They are more like 'friends' now LOL. They even brought Miss LuLa a bone LOL...used to do the same for dear Luigi...... Judy that is awesome that with all the 'activities that revolve around FOOD' you were only up 2#. Just think...the days BEFORE weight watchers, that number would most definitely have been in the double digits. Turn the page, focus once again and you'll be fine. I have reached a point in my life where I do the 'balance plan' at times....when I go 'off' which I do often enough, I reel myself in...eat lighter meals and move more. Eventually it comes back off. That's my 2 cents worth, for what it's worth June is a crazy month for us as well. My bday is the 27th and our 39th wedding anniversary is the 22nd...and yes, I shall CeLeBrAtE in style both days. I'm kinda glad that I only do the meetings once a month, as I will have a little time in between to get the weight back down again. Judy I am so very sorry that you once again had to go through the Rx stuff. Sheesh. As you said, 'hopefully' it will all be squared away now. Keeping that in my prayers. Sue yes I also 'put off' having the carpets cleaned a little too long. Normally I have it done once a year, but it went over by a month. That won't happen again. That extra time really 'showed its age' LOL. It's hard keeping them clean with two fur kids and a husband LOL.....nuff said You really cooked up a storm and now all you have to to is open the freezer, reach thaw and enjoy. I like to simplify things like that as well. Tonight we are going to cook up a chicken in the Instant pot using the 'fall off the bone' setting or recipe. I'll grill up some zucchini peppers onions and mushrooms and red potato to go with it. Quick and easy...and leftovers to boot. Gotta love that. While the men were here cleaning we took a 'hood walk'. I was just happy that it didn't rain. The pollen, however is horrible! I came home, took a shower to get it 'off me' and I know it will reappear once I go back out again. A never ending battle. Another book came in via CW Mars and I am so behind in reading it's pathetic. Should I not finish them, I'll just purchase through amazon. I don't 'binge read' that well these days. Pam hope all is well with you.......you have such a busy schedule. Time for me to pour a coffee and relax before we put the furniture all back where it belongs. Carl will have the 'duty' of hooking up all the electrical stuff. Fun jot for him LOL.

Ann, hooray on the freshened up carpets. It always smells so good and looks equally good, i am sure! Like you said, with fur kids and husbands, carpets take a toll! :-) Do you use a local company? You and Sue are reminding me that we should do our living room. We have hardwoods/area rugs in the other rooms. There's hardwood under the living room carpet, but I like the warmth of carpets in the winter.
I'm back from Rice Violet, the Thai restaurant 7 of us went to for lunch for the birthday gathering. The food was great - I chose a red curry (I love the coconut curries) and I "think" I did well. There was a small amount of rice with it and the veggies and chicken were delish. We have our anniversary/birthday dinner tonight so it's a double whammy, but I plan to celebrate these big occasions. Some day when I am rocking away in my chair, I'll be glad for the memories of enjoying these times and not regretting that I felt I skipped them due to strict adherence to a WL plan.
Have a good rest of the day everyone!

Bravado for celebrating Judy. I highly recommend it. I got an image of sitting in the ol' rocker reminiscing lol. Brought a smile to my face. Life is too short to always be rigid.
We use True Pro Cleaners and they have a website if you want to check them out. Very reliable, honest and they do fantastic work.
Seeing as we had no table set up as the rugs are still a little dampish, Carl REALLY twisted my arm and we ate at Herricks Tavern. I had a sirloin burger with mushrooms and swiss cheese and onion rings. The burger was huge but I managed to wolf it down lol. I did leave some rings behind lol.
One more walk with miss LuLa before getting jammified.

Hi all!
I was lazy this morning, reading the paper and drinking coffee until almost lunchtime. Then I got busy putting away clean laundry, straightening up and cleaning and mopping floors. Our RCIA meeting is here again as the computer at church was fritzed and has to be replaced before there will be internet service, which we need to access the videos. Oh well, it gives me a reason to get the house cleaned before we head to the camp for the weekend.
DH and I both had meetings in late afternoon yesterday, so we put the red beans on hold until tonight and I picked up a rotisserie chicken at Walmart on my way home. DH made it home before me and had some sugar snap peas, zucchini and onions all ready to stir fry. They were delicious along with tator tots and sliced tomatoes. For something pulled together last minute, we both agreed it was a good meal. I had a chicken sandwich from the leftovers for lunch, along with fresh tomatoes and corn.
I skipped walking today to give my feet a rest and am about to go ride the recumbent bike for a while and listen to some more of Nine Perfect Strangers by Lianne Moriarty. It's a hoot!
It just occurred to me that the inspection sticker on my Highlander expired at the end of May. I put that at the top of the calendar for tomorrow. I plan to go into BTR for Girl's Night Out and don't want to get a ticket. Ostensibly, inspections are to make sure your vehicle is in safe running condition, but it is also a way to make sure people have mandatory vehicle insurance.
Judy - Don't stress about a couple pounds. Just keep on keeping on. You KNOW what the alternative is and you don't want that.
Ann - Your burger sounds great except for the mushrooms. (Shudder!!!) I know you will be glad to have nice clean carpeting again.
Sue - Good planning for your workday meal. I'll be you'll be ready for dinner when you get home.
Time to get that bike ride and shower done.

Yikes to the sticker Pam. You had a busy day as usual. Love rotisserie cheat chickens lol. Funny before Carl and I married he wouldn't touch a mushroom. Now he likes them.
All jammified and time to relax.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Hump Day!! I slept very well last night - going to bed at 10 and waking at 7. It seems I am finally getting back on (what I consider) my normal schedule. That hospital trip, etc., took a while to catch up from; and the past two days I haven't felt heavy-headed in mid afternoon which is a good thing.
Judy ~ I have to agree that the 1/3 lb burger seems to be perfect. In our area we have Aunt Millie's bakeries which is a local company and their whole grain/low calorie buns are both delicious and will fit into a WW day well. I keep a stash of hamburger and hot dog buns in my deep freeze. I am glad you opted for the happy memories.
Ann ~ Glad you got your floors done. That is another thing making me put it off, the picking up things and then waiting for them to dry and putting them all back. But I will get to it soon.
I can relate to computer snafus - I did one yesterday on my Google calendar (of all things!) and didn't have time to "fix" it before I left for school. Fortunately by the time I got back home it was reset and working. THEN by rushing, I accidentally deleted a work assignment I had just accepted yesterday (so didn't have it written down anywhere) and had to 'learn' how to retrieve things from 'trash'. There's my one new thing to learn for yesterday!!
Pam ~ Fortunately we live in an area where inspection stickers are not necessary. We used to have to get an annual inspection, but that stopped some years ago. I'm glad because it would just be one more thing to remember and one more cost. Just recently I renewed my license tab and DH's license tab and his driver's license - and it all hit about the same time. Geez!!
My day at school yesterday was not bad at all. The 7 hour shifts are still a bit long for me, but I'll make do with it for now. I accepted a handful of new requests yesterday but they switched some of them to 6 hours which suits me better. Also they adjusted a couple of them to be 10-5 so I don't have to open or close. After I make it through my 7:30 start Friday I will pretty much be home free.
We had a beautiful day yesterday with abundant sunshine and warmth on the playground. I was in the Kindergarten age room and we took the kiddos out in the morning (coming in for lunch) and then after lunch we watched a movie and they played, then after snack time we went back outside. Except for one dad who was late (by 15 min) I would have been out on time.
It WAS great to come home and just toss a salad. DH had brought home a Taylor Farms chopped salad kit that was "Wedge Salad" with a creamy blue cheese dressing and some bacon and some crunchies. I chopped some romaine and added half a bag of that then the rest of my grape tomatoes. I sliced up two chicken breast tenders to top it and it was all ready in a matter of minutes and was delicious!!
Today DH and I are going to the cardiologist's office then I have some free time until I go to WW this afternoon for my monthly WI. I wish I was down a few pounds (sound familiar?) but it is what it is. I plan to go with my VBF for iced tea at Starbuck's. Our monthly visit was aborted last time due to taking DH to the hospital so I am really looking forward to this one!!
I think DH and his VBF are planning to head Up North tomorrow for a few days but that is still in the planning phase. I'm working Thursday and Friday so it won't affect my plans at all, except for missing him in the evenings.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Oh boy, am I mad! I just wrote a long post to all of you detailing our dinner last night complete with all the Italian for Ann's benefit and it poofed away by accident! UGH!!
Happy hump day all! We had a great anniversary/birthday dinner. DH received great calls from both kids and DD sent him a lovely photo tribute with lots of photos and memories. I think I'll put it into a collage. Our dinner was at a lovely, small Italian restaurant owned by great people just off the boat from Italy! We really don't mind a big splurge when the food is that great We had great mushroom appetizer (yes, Pam, I love them, too!!) called Polenta con Funghi which had a creamy polenta stuffing with parsley and onions. I had a wonderful shrimp dish called Gamberi alla Vodka which was a tasty concoction of shrimp, spinach, garlic in vodka rose sauce. It was to die for since it was served with their homemade pasta. DH had Fruti de Mare with shrimp, mussels, clams, calimari and more in a garlicky tomato type sauce served over their homemade pasta. I brought leftovers for my lunch today since it was more shrimp than I could finish. We went home for a slice of cheesecake for his birthday treat. He doesn't like cake. (I do!) So you can see, how we really did go into the red letter day of eating. LOL But, memories were made and tonight is a Blue Apron low pt chicken dinner. Back on track.
I was so happy to read all your posts and I always marvel at how much the four of us have in common in our lifestyles, ages and more Well, speaking of age, I just signed up for Soc. Security! I opted to take half of my DH's since I squeaked by for the eligible date to do so. I'll leave my own alone to accumulate until aged 70. Half of his is nearly what all of mine would be since I have not worked as many years. I was home for a good 15 years of my marriage.
We also have an annual car inspection. Sometimes I forget and wind up accumulating many months for free - not intentionally!!! Now DH does a better job watching the cars. I also am in the process of renewing my driver's license due in September. I am getting the new "Real" ID which requires an in person registration showing all kinds of documents to prove citizenship. The real ID will be mandatory next year so I may as well get it now. I don't want to have to lug my Passport everywhere.
Have a wonderful day friends!

too pooped to do personals but happy to announce that the house is BAAAck LOL. Yes that IS the downside of having carpets cleaned and then sprayed with scotch guard. It takes overnight to get it done right. Now I'm just going to sit and relax. No walking for me as it's too humid out there and y'all know how much I LOVE that Take care and think of me tomorrow as I go for my doctor appointment. Sue thinking of your DH today. Judy I would have LOVED to hear all the Italian LOL....hate when posts get poofed! Hi Pam

Ann, good luck at the doctor's tomorrow and I hope all goes well! I did include the Italian names of the meals for your reading pleasure, Ann. Such a beautiful language!
I agree that it is humid with more rain predicted for later on. I met with my TOPS aka Stars (Standing Together and Reaching Success). We all agreed that, although we like to chit chat, we need to get back to basics and remember that this is a weight loss support group. LOL Sort of like my book club. We all read the book, but mostly chat about everything but the book. however, we do talk about it for a few minutes and give our reviews but no deep analysis. Ha ha.
One of my fellow STARS member is a WW. She lost 100 lbs 5 years back and kept it off! Very inspiring! Anyhow, she was showing me all the goodies she has won on the WW site with her accumulation of points. So, I checked mine and I ordered a nice insulated tote bag for the beach or grocery or anywhere. Not bad!

Good evening!
I had a very lazy day today. DH and I went to town, got my inspection sticker (a 2 year one!) and did some grocery shopping and that was it. We spent the remainder of the day doing nothing other than reading and playing computer games. I guess we need a day like that now and then.
Around 5:00 pm I headed to BTR for my GNO. I had to park several blocks away from the downtown restaurant, so got in a few steps. One friend who has missed our dinners for months showed up and we were so happy to see her. I ate way too much of the wonderful homemade Italian bread with parmesan cheese, olive oil, roasted garlic and tapenade. I also had the house salad and shrimp scampi with a side of vegetable (butternut squash). I was disappointed that the sauce on the scampi was very creamy, more of a beurre blanc than the lemon juice and butter I was expecting. I should have asked to have the sauce on the side. Anyway, I was too full to eat more than half the entree anyway.
Now I am home and feeling like bedtime is in my near future. I need to be up and out fairly early for a hospice visit.
Ann - I'm glad you have your house back in order and can relax. Good luck at tomorrow's appointment! I will say a prayer for you.
Judy - Congrats on scoring the tote bag with WW points. That must be something really new, as I hadn't heard about it. Your Italian meal sounded wonderful! (minus the mushrooms) We still have to enjoy the special occasions, but if you are like me, you ate WAY less than pre-WW. Enjoying the scrumptious leftovers the next day is good, too. I feel your pain on losing the post. The same happened to me just a few days ago. Hit one wrong key and POOF!
Sue - I hope all went well at the cardiology appointment today. I'm glad you are finally getting rested and back in a normal groove. The stress of illness and hospitalizations really does take a toll on loved ones, as well as the patient.

Good morning all. Wokek up to no rain but the sky looks very iffy. Hopefully we won't be traveling in a downpour. My surgeon moved further away...oh well, it is what it is. Appointment isn't until 3:15, but we'll leave around 11:00 to do our errands beforehand while in that neck of the woods. I'm staying positive and so appreciate y'all saying prayers for me. I finished the 18th book in the women's murder club by James Patterson. Now I'm starting Everything I Never Told You. Judy I believe it was you that mentioned that book. So far, so good. I'll have company on the road LOL. Pam your meal sounded delish. So nice that your missing friend showed up Always nice when that happens. I also agree with what you said to Judy...pre Weight Watchers always involved way more food. Sue praying all went well with DH's appointment. Wishing y'all a blessed day. Stay cool

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Thursday!! We woke to yet another grey, dreary day with a predicted high of only in the low 60's. Oh well, at least we had a couple days of summer-like weather the past two days. We can muddle through today with cool and rain. I am working at a different school today from noon until close (about 6) at the door signing parents (and kiddos) in and out. It is an easy shift and I will be taking my Kindle.
My WW WI was surprising last night. I lost 0.2 which isn't huge but better than a gain any time. I also found out at my WW Center how to find (and redeem) my WIN points. I asked my VBF (who is a WW sub) and then the two receptionists - but it was the WW leader for that meeting who knew and showed me.
My VBF and I enjoyed an iced tea date at Starbuck's, then I picked up two Maurice salads for supper on the way home. DH and I ate outdoors and it was a perfect night!! He had repaired a hinge on our garage door that was threatening to malfunction and also turned on (and checked) our A/C. Good afternoon's work for sure!!
Funniest thing happened on the way home. I was listening to Prime Country on Sirius XM radio in my car and the DJ mentioned that Google had had trouble with their Google Calendar the previous day. She said it didn't affect G-Mail or any other Google apps, only the calendar. Right before I left for school that day I had opened my calendar and got a blank screen and an error code - but by the time I got home it was fine. Now I know why - - and I only found out quite by accident!
DH's cardiology appointment went as expected. Since his doctor is away, he had to see a new guy and of course 'change is hard'. He told them that he had discontinued the Brilinta because of the side effects (shortness of breath, headache, dizziness etc). "Oh no" the doc said. They prescribed Plavix instead. He is not happy about it and is very resistant to taking anything more than he is currently taking. But they called in the prescription and it will be ready to pick up later today.
DH has decided to head Up North with his VBF. I am very much in favor of him getting away for a few days and think it will be a good thing (for both of them). He hemmed and hawed about it but in the end decided to go. The only 'job' on the agenda is cutting the grass around the cabin (with a riding mower). His VBF will be going up again for 4th of July week with all his kids invited. We are, of course, invited but we have other plans (which we had to skip last year).
Ann ~ I will be thinking of you today with your surgeon appointment, and already said a prayer for you this morning. Hope everything goes well!!
BBL. Make a great day!!

Lol Sue finding out about google calendar by accident.
Your DH sounds a lot like Carl with medication. Praying he does not get a reactiin to the new Rx. I'm also not fond of seeing a new doctor.
Thank you for the prayers. Much appreciated.
We are also having weather with gloomy sky and rain on and off.
Take care.
