This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Good morning friends,
Overcast here today, with off and on rain scheduled, so probably not much outdoor stuff on the agenda. Although the grass is in definite need of cutting, it might be a few more days until I can get to it. DH is WFH today so I might get out for a few minutes later. The little consignment store in Grant got some new (used) furniture, according to a recent FB post, so I might swing by and take a look. I'm still looking for a small dining table solution. The little one we have is super rickety and just too old and beat-up to be able to shore up effectively. IDK, I also might just stay home and listen to rain...Lol. When the rain finally started last night, I was asleep within a couple of minutes, and slept pretty soundly through the night. Definitely a benefit that I'd thought of but hadn't really considered a measurable benefit of switching to metal, although clearly they should use that in marketing...Haha!

Good morning.
We have meetings in my office the rest of this week so it will be difficult to get things done.
other than work - same old stuff with me.
Lora enjoy your day and I hope you find a table that you like. DS found a little pedestal table at Good Will for around $20. He is sanding it down and refinishing the top. Good luck.

Good Morning...slept well last night (did not take any of the new meds - I don't think this is the one for me - darn, I wish I hadn't spent the $ for a 90 day supply). Got up and went to Balance and Stretch and am on my way to Stitch Therapy (a sewing type group in my neighborhood), then maybe to class with DH or maybe just read/whatever til a neuropathy lecture at the clubhouse and then bridge this evening...hope to get to DGDs swim meet later this evening.
Oh Lora - I would love, love, love to listen to the rain....enjoy the new roof.
Jana - I loved the pic of you in the Dr's office - lol

LOL Susie - I had fun with the whole dinosaur room yesterday. I still have no idea why I ended up in that room but it was funny.

Good morning,
Lora, glad you slept so well with the gentle rain! Boy, I wish I could give you my little round oak dining room table. It was Mom's and I don't need it now that she is gone. Hope you find something you like.
Jana, boo for meetings...hope you are able to get your work done, too!
Susie, so sorry about the headaches. Have you ever tried acupuncture for migraines? I have some patients here, who have had amazing results. Just wondering. I know you have been dealing with these for a while.
I have to get my pool up and running today. I canceled a car appointment, so I can focus on getting this done. I also have some mowing that I would like to do, but it doesn't look like the weather is going to stay dry today. I am also working on an application for a job that I would like to get. I have no real hope that I will even get a call, but if I don't send in the application, they definitely won't call! Anyway, I don't want to jinx it. Just keep some fingers crossed....
I'll be back... I am going to fire up the pump, see how many things leak, and then make a trip to the pool store! Ha! Waving to all, RobinMD

Hi Everyone, Two days without having to deal with the angels. I have been working mostly on putting in all the pieces of art into the kid's portfolios. By being by myself this past year I havent had much time to do this and we are supposed to do this throughout the year. I have gotten most of them done and can see the floor around me. I had piles of the different kid's work. As you can tell my former assistant didnt do anything. Another teacher offered to help but I guess I have my own system of doing it and I think I would be more stressed. I think I will have it finished by tommorow. They want all the files completed by Friday and with the exception of one set of conference form that a parent signed and cant seem to find those papers I will have them ready. I will call and see if she can stop and pick up the bookbag her daughter left and ask her to please sign them for me again. I hope she will. Lora, glad you enjoyed a peaceful sleep with the rain and the new roof. Susie, sorry that the medicine may not be the medicine that will work for you snd that you spent more on it then you wish. Jana, sorry you had everyone in your office and that you werent able to do much. Susie, you are so busy!! I dont know if I mentioned this or not without looking back but I decided to save some more before getting a new car. I want to be able to put a bigger down payment on the car. It may be not a huge amount but whatever else I can add will help. My friends want to give me 1,000 dollars but they dont have a lot of money and really no savings. They are adamant that they want to give it to me but I dont want to take it. If my sister finds out she will be mad I know. So I think I will just keep turning them down. They probably have an ulterior motivation so I will go shopping for them each week which I havent been able to do. Robin, I hope you get to fix your pool. Also, I agree on getting the application done. I filled out one online once and didnt think I would hear back but I did so good luck. I didnt persue it as the hours were too late as well as time to get there was too early with my current full time job. Have a great evening!

So here goes post #2. Grrrr. Janet, I think it sounds like a good idea, too, to save up more for a down payment. It seems like you have a decent public transportation system there. I had no good luck with the pool today. Either I need a new pump, or there is something wrong with the outlet for the pump plug. Of course, nothing could get looked at today, so I am going to go to work late Thursday morning, and an electrician is coming first thing, to check out the electrical possibilities. If I need a new pump, I'll have to pick that up on my day off on Saturday. Of course, I'm working 8 to 5 on Sunday, so I don't know if I'll get everything put together over the weekend. Something causes me hassles and hang-ups every stinkin' year when I try to open the pool...but it is SO worth it, especially during the hottest part of the summer, and we always manage to have a couple of good parties up there before I close it up in the fall. I'm just frustrated right now. I am holding steady on my weight right now. But even with just the 5 lbs. my clothes are a bit more comfortable, and now that my stomach isn't swollen, I just feel better. I think tomorrow, I'm going to take fresh strawberries and blueberries (I need to use them up), a vanilla Activia, and some pumpkin seed granola. I don't know what else yet, but there is usually left over salad from a drug rep lunch! I hope everyone has had a good day. Happy HUMP Day tomorrow! I'm heading on to bed...being down in the dumps is exhausting! I will perk up tomorrow RobinMD
