HI JUNE BUGS,
TODAY WAS FUN AT SIT AND SEW .BUT NOT A GOOD DAY FOR ME SEWING. TRYING TO PUT A BOARDER ON A TABLE RUNNER THAT WAS THE RIGHT SIZE JUST DIDN'T WANT TO FIT. USUALLY THIS KIND OF THINGS HAPPENS WHEN I AM NOT IN THE MOOD TO SEW.
LATER IN THE AFTERNOON WE WENT TO TOM'S MOTHER'S VISITATION.SHE COLLECTED BELLS. THEY HAD THEM ON A TABLE AND TOLD EVERYONE TO PICK ONE IN MEMORY OF EMILY.
I PICKED A SANTA CLAUS ONE.
WE DIDN'T KNOW EMILY. TOM AND DON USHERS AND SERVE MASSES AT CHURCH.THIS IS THE LADY THAT FELL OVER A WEEK AGO AND BROKE HER HIP .SHE WAS 100.
AFTERWARDS WE WENT TO A LOCAL RESTAURANT SMITTY'S FOR SUPPER.
THERE WAS PERSON IN A PINK DRESS IN A BOOTH.FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS A BULKY BUILT TYPE WOMAN. NOPE. IT WAS A MAN. PRETTY PINK DRESS, BLACK SKIRT OR SHORTS. NOT SURE IF HE HAD ORDERED ANYTHING TO EAT OR NOT. WE WERE THERE FOR OVER AN HOUR AND HE DID NOT EAT. MUST OF HAVE 4- 5 DRINKS. THINK THE OWNER AFTER AWHILE CAME OVER AND MAY HAVE TOLD HIM TO LEAVE. HE EVEN HAD A SMALL SEQUIN PURSE. HE LOOKED VERY LONELY TO ME.BUGS BUNNY PHYL.

Cat, was good to see your post.. sorry about that dang a fib being such a bother to you.. And you are right, we are spoiled.. I've never collapsed from hunger but did have a few times when raising my kids that food was mighty scarce and I refrained from eating so the kids would have enough.. Remind me sometime to tell you about the time I only had twelve cents and a jar of peanut butter.. or the time I had a can of peaches and some flour.. Yep there were times..
Just found out my daughter from texas will be here on Saturday.. just for a couple of hours.. I'm a little surprised she's even stopping by to see me.. I'm not her favorite person.. it's a long story. Not easy to understand.. I don't even understand it.. sad too.
Kathie, I don't know Nancy in person but have posted with her for years on the late night thread.. the same place where you and I met.. So sorry for the loss of a loved one.
Jenny

I discovered the blood pressure medicine I've been on causes your glucose to raise and sent my doctor an e-mail about that as it's always bothered me that my A1C being elevated has been the reason they say I have diabetes when I have no symptoms and even my eye exams have not indicated it either. So I wonder if it's a false diagnosis and asked my doctor if that is possible. She said yes that does raise blood sugar levels. Really? Why didn't you try changing the bp medicine before treating me for diabetes? So I think she is going to change that prescription to one that doesn't affect blood sugar. But I won't really know much until four months when I see the new doctor I will be having. I hope my liver ultra sound goes well but even that isn't until July 2nd. I'm really not at all happy about any of this. All the nurses say how sweet my doctor who is leaving is but my feeling is being sweet does not replace being aware of medicines you are prescribing or not really being able to answer questions I have.
Did get in a walk yesterday and had almost 3,000 steps by last night. I know that's not much to the rest of you but to me that's a giant step forward!

Good Morning Phyl and June Bugs,
This morning it is 63* and cloudy and going up to 78* and becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon with winds N 5 to 10 mph.
MJ and I are happy with the haircuts we got yesterday. MJ had I think she said 5" cut off and it looks good. I had mine cut the usual nice and short and I'm happy with it.
Again today, as far as I know there are no other special plans for today, so we'll just wait and see what might come up.
Aunty Acid for Wed June 19: Aunty Acid is sitting at a table and thinking after she hears What's for dinner? and she thinks Dinner? Again? But I fed them yesterday!

good morning, sandy 3,000 steps would be a mile stone for me also.
I NEVER HAD DIABETES SYMPTOMS EITHER.
LAST DOCTOR VISIT THIS PAST MAY HE SAID GAINING WEIGHT AFFECTS THE A1C ALSO
I always thought we were poor compared to other kids. seemed they had better clothes.nicer houses to live in. somehow there was always food on the table.I could not find anything to eat in the cupboards on Friday ,Friday nights supper was on the tables.
their parents did not drink like mine did.
2012 our church group went to Peru. things in Town were nice. our stay at Costa Hoga orphanage was nice.across the fence you could see the santy town sheds. ;lots of them. how they got water even our priest didn't know. they were not hooked up to water. the sheds weer made out of anything they could get we had water and sewers. so many didn't. cross the bridge from the road to get back to our stay you could see all kinds of garbage stuff and more floating in the water.
the night we pulled away from the airport and got out of town kids were at stop lights begging for change. Ginger was a school teacher .she could not get over on our tours how kids were with parents selling their wares and not in schools.sad.
our priest said Peru schools terrible. he got a letter from a from a boy , spelling was terrible. not one mark of pronunciation was used.the kids in his school were learning and doing great.
I told our priests I wish every kid in America and all the modern gadgets could come to see the kids here. maybe they would learn to appreciate the tiniest things in life they have and our country more. he agreed.
you would not believe the mansion the president lives in. it is huge.
we only saw it from the outside. The Peru government will take care of people if they live in the city but not in the country.
on the bus tours we would see ladies squat down in public and pull up their clothes and go to the bathroom in a special hole, men to.even if they were in a public park.
yes we are spoiled. so let's really be glad we live in America with all we got. doesn't matter how much or how little be grateful.
well gotta run to met Delona our bumin day. bugs bunny phyl.

Good morning!
Doris, I always look forward to Auntie Acid! Thanks for sharing the daily jokes. At Christmas, I thought about buying one of those calendars, but I decided not to since you share them each day, and I look forward to them so much.
Phyl, so sorry to read about Nancy's DSIL. I'm sure she was dearly loved. What a terrible shock to wake and find one's loved one has passed in the night. Also, Phyl, I just noticed that the first "E" is missing from Wednesday in our title. Would might try to correct that with the "edit" button.
Nothing on my schedule today. I have some should-do s that I've been delaying. One is to go to The Parents' House and cut that carpet in the basement. The 45-minute one-way commute usually triggers my procrastination reflex in that case.
It appears that we are going to have more rain today. The roadsides are overgrown with grass and weeds. In some intersections we can't see around corners. It's getting dangerous for sure. Sunday afternoon I observed (from my kitchen window) a mother skunk taking her little family of two babies for a walk along our back fence. AAAK! With skunks, I'm always afraid of rabies.
I see I'm rambling. BBL! ~~Molly

What a morning already! Thunderstorms in the wee hours and electricity off until after 7 this morning. Sunshine now but more T-Storms this afternoon.
Y'all don't forget to vote. I like July Jargon.
"Jargon definition is - the technical terminology or characteristic idiom of a special activity or group." We are a special group.
Today is gym day but I think I am skipping. Tired from the T-Storms and just plane A-G-E. Lung Dr. at 11:30.
Sympathy goes out to Nancy.
Phyl, you got a first hand look at poor. We just thought we grew up poor. I had a good home life. No drinking etc. Hard working parents.
Cat, I am glad you are feeling like posting some.
Have a great Wednesday all. ITSY BITSY SPIDER LUCY
