TOOT, TOOOT! CHUG, CHUG, CHUG! Here comes the Train to Thinsville down the track and into your station, so hop on board and enjoy the ride.
This morning it is 63* and cloudy and going up to 89* and mostly cloudy today with winds SW 10 to 20 mph.
As far as I know there are no special plans for today, so we'll just wait and see what might come up.
Its so nice to have my hair short again and it feels good not have it hanging on my neck.
Aunty Acid for Thursday June 20: (Aunty Acid is on the sofa with a blanket and says) The road to happiness often begins with a nap... It pretty much ends there too.

Good morning Doris & ATF,
Rain today and currently 69; the high will be 74 ... Chance of thunderstorms too.
Yesterday was fun with my boys. Frankie and I played catch for a while. Vinny was busy doing chores. He started out dust mopping the living & dinning room floors. Then he went on to play his tablet. DD has assigned things for them to do during the summer so that they are not always on their electronic stuff. So far they are enjoying doing their assignments. I left around noon time and didn't do much of anything when I got home.
Today I'm staying home, going thru summer clothing and doing laundry as I'm going to DSIS to spend time with her. Saturday her GS will be 4 yrs. old and we will go to his party.
Have a great day, safe weekend and I'll be back Sunday after visiting with TJ.

Emily,
Have a great weekend with DSis celebrating her DGS's 4th birthday. That should be fun.
It sounds like you had a good day with Frankie and Vinny yesterday.

waking up a little earlier these days, tried setting my alarm and I am awake before that goes off so that is good thing. I need time to get motivated for my day. Having cup of tea this morning. haven't done that in awhile. but it did sound better than anything else. A piece of toast so I can take my pills.
I am not going to schedule so many things in one week again. I get tired of running.
Doris, glad you like your haircut. I have 3 Grandkids with naturally curly hair and 2 with poker straight hair. My Grandson #2 has a curly beard but the hair on his head is straight. The curly hair came from my DH's side of family certainly not from mine.
It is humid today and uncomfortable, even the paper in the house is damp feeling, I shut the house up and turned on the AC so that might help.

Connie,
I have two pills I have to take one hour before breakfast, but the rest of my medicine I take after meals.
We are tired of rainy weather too. The report this morning said just cloudy but now it has been changed to more rain. We haven't had as much as a lot of places, but I'm tired of it.

Good morning!
We woke up very early this morning with a text from DGS1. 4:15! He sent us a couple of photos and a one word text -- Paris! He is having a great trip around Europe visiting all his friends he went to school within Germany for that year. He and a friend from Barcelona are using the other guy's parents' camper van to drive all over the place. Of course, neither of us slept much after that, so we got up at 5:30 and took our pills and went out for our Wednesday waffle breakfast. We plan to nap this afternoon.
Doris, I am going to the nurse for the foot care. This is a change from the pedicure I used to get. The nail tech got the water too hot and my feet were red as lobsters. I cannot feel it due to the neuropathy in my feet and legs. Luckily, the lady in the next chair noticed and told me, so no real burn. But that set my neuropathy pain off in a big way, and I have been very nervous about going for foot care. Emily, enjoy your rest today! Connie, sometimes toast is all that sounds good.
Be happy! Diane

Diane,
I'm sure you didn't mind being awakened at 4:15 by a text from your DGS in Paris.
It sounds like it was a good idea to switch to the nurse for foot care after an experience like that.

Oh Diane! I just winced reading about your foot care. Ouch!
Today I used the dryer instead of drying outside, I think the humidity level is too high to dry. Did not get wet on my walk this morning and it's actually cool and damp. Then came home and worked on some Haiti stuff.
Doris, I'm glad you like your new hair cut.
Have any of you read "Where the Crawdad's Sing"? I usually read and go to sleep but this book not only keeps me reading, when I stop I keep thinking about it!

Helen,
It must have really been humid this morning for you to dry clothes inside. I would love to see some nice sunny days for a while, but I guess we aren't as bad off as some of the people posting.
I haven't read the book you mentioned but it must be good to make you keep thinking about it.

Phyl,
It sounds like you had a busy day starting with exercise at the Y. I guess you got some exercise just walking around in the stores even though you didn't buy anything.
Helen's haircut looks good and I'm glad to have mine done too.
