My question is what does this do to the Mouseketeer getting punched --- that his calling in life is to be a punching bag and no one cares.

Pushed the reset button today. We’ve enjoyed the get away and chose to enjoy food we haven’t had for awhile. Started today with healthy breakfast choices. Back on track and smiling. We were glad to have sunshine yesterday as we drove around CO Springs. Looking forward to sunshine as we head home.
Diva: keeping Mouseketeer in prayer. Hope there is someone he can talk to. As a mom whose dd has found continued help here in CO for bipolar issues and who still remembers episodes from school, I know it isn’t easy. Sending hugs.
Jamescat1: Dh retired from the Army medical Corp. I know there is an AFB In Denver. This trip to Co Springs has been a good get away for us. We’re going to look into locating Lowry or other AF bases in the Denver area.
Have a great day everyone.

Ann, at least you have a good surgeon. I have a WW friend in a small CT town and she has a noncancerous tumor in her arm but no one nearby who is a specialist. She does not trust her oncologist to remove it. He doesn't know everything. I had a friend who drove from Jackson Mississippi to MD Anderson in Houston for medical care. Distance means nothing compared to quality of care. diva49 that happened to my son in elementary school and I transferred him to a nearby school. Best thing I ever did. It all depends on the principal. A boy kicked him when he was in first grade and Bob noticed when he bathed him. Strict Marine principal took care of that boy but he was replaced by a horrible woman principal when Rob was in fifth grade. Rob was abused by other boys, punched, thrown against the fence at recess etc. School psychologist told me Rob was a round peg that could not fit into the square hole at that school. Moving him just a few miles away made all the difference in the world.

Bee Enjoy the visit with your girls.Safe travels.
Cathy Great goal.
Audrey I'm sorry the food was so bad but I'm glad you enjoyed the event.I hope you like the new trainer.I walked at 8:00 AM and will do the recumbent bike later also.I hope you can get them to come back and fix the breaker problem.
Susi I hope you enjoyed piyo and I'm glad you enjoyed your evening. It's always good when the calories are worth it.
Ann Good luck with your visit to your surgeon. If I don't get my walk in around 8 in the mornings with this heat and humidity it's not getting done. It's up to 92 right now and will most likely get even hotter. At least there was a fairly good breeze this morning.
MJ Continued prayers for the Mousketeer. That is absolutely horrible especially in the 2nd grade. Is there anyway he can change schools next year?Prayers for you and his mom also.
LaDonna I'm glad you gave your toe a break last night. It probably needed the night off.Enjoy your weekend trip to the coast with your cousin and safe travels. It sounds like fun.I am wanting to get some walking sandals also.My new Go Walk Sketchers sneakers are very comfortable and seem to absorb some of the shocks when I walk on our country road.

Susi I hope your storms aren't too bad and it will be nice coming home to a clean house.
MJ I agree with Susi. That is not a solution but one they are talking about happening in TX too.It seems they don't want to suspend anyone even for bullying.
Pam I'm glad that reset button is always available.I'm glad you had a good trip.
Audrey From what I have heard at least in TX there is none better than MD Anderson. My former SIL worked there when they lived in Houston. She is a RN and she worked on the cancer wing.Even though she now has MS she still works full time in a hospital in a smaller TX town.I am glad you moved Rob out of that horrible school.
Have a good day all.

The female trainer was excellent so I have scheduled the next weeks until we leave for the coast on July 27th. My time is 9:45 until 10:30 so I can come home and shower before noon etc.
Becky, she was a brilliant poet, Aleda Shirley. Unfortunately she had breast cancer too early in life and before all of the new current treatments so cancer eventually spread to other parts of her body. She was married to an architect and was an only child. Her father suffered from the effects of Agent Orange when he was in the Army. Aleda or AJ and I used to have Friday night chats on the Internet although we never met in person and lived so far apart. I have one of her poetry books. Her writing was similar to that of Fresno's most well known poet, Philip Levine, whom she had met at seminars.

My question is what does this do to the Mouseketeer getting punched --- that his calling in life is to be a punching bag and no one cares. Bad school administrators. When Rob moved to the new school in six grade he did get into a fight one day and the principal called to say she had to send both boys home because that was school policy. She also said she was proud of Rob for fighting back and he had not started it and it wasn’t his fault. His six grade teacher, a great guy, Would have the kids move their tasks to the center of the room facing one another the entire class. They would work out issues and discuss problems like starting to use deodorant etc. it was night and day from his former school and I hope the Mouseketeer has a better year. Letting you know my friend’s daughter in Los Angeles has been harassed by the same girl two years in a row and luckily the girl has transferred schools. Parents can be in denial about how their children act.
