WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

30 points 1847 calories 24+ APs
High points yesterday, but I’m fine with it. 15 mile bike ride, interval class, 30 minute basic step class, and two senior classes. I think I earned it 😊
We can add our grill to the list of damages. The doors blew off, but we thought it still worked. I was making dinner, went to adjust the temperature, and the know came off in my hand. All three knobs melted right off. Something got knocked around inside. We’ll replace it quickly, I use the grill a lot.
Nancy, things are fitting so much better! I have a sundress that I’ve only worn once because I don’t like the way I look in it. I love it now and can’t wait to wear it! Hooray for the white pants. The weather has left a lot to be desired, hasn’t it? This morning on the news they said the beginning of May was the last time we went three days without rain. Many areas around us are experiencing flooding. I’ll count my blessings with a small tornado.
Lori, glad DH accepted the wheelchair. Did he get into the doctor yesterday? Does he know what stretches to do?
Cindy, yay for 10:30 bed! Doesn’t it make a difference? Did you get all the limbs cleaned up?

Jan - Have you checked with your HOI re coverage? That's so awesome about the dress. I can't wait til you step on the scale. Do you know what your weight was the last time you did? Denver pitched a no hitter this week. He got the game ball. The photo of him smiling is priceless. Can you believe he'll be 10 in October? Definitely time for another get together. Have you given any more thought to coming in?

Hi Girlfriends! C1D3 Nancy, know you are thrilled on DGS. That is fantastic! It's so fun seeing our grandkids & there acomplishments! Jan, sundress, woo woo! How often do you weigh? Well, DH wouldn't let me help him in picking up the limbs. He spent 5 hours yesterday picking them up. He does let me help him mow & I do the flower beds. We mow all of our 5 acres, (2 Tractors) so it doesn't take us that long. (If there are any snakes around I definitely want to see them) It's been over a year now since we've seen one. Lori, anxiously waiting to see how DH is doing! Gotta get busy! Love ya'll, Cindy

Back to normal routine...and normal eating!
Despite DH's back issue, we had a wonderful vacation. Always nice to get away...boy, do I miss the sunshine!!! DH has an appointment this morning with a chiro (first time ever). I told him he had to go - find out exactly what the problem is, what they suggest and take it from there. Men...so stubborn....
Well, I got on the scale this morning - up 4.4 Scale was better than the last time so I'm fine with it - considering not as much exercise, eating things I don't normal have (Bagels w/cream cheese, fish dinners involved cream sauce, mashed potatoes, some fried foods), more alcohol drinks than normal, one dessert (almond croissant, glad I waited to the last night - so good, I'm sure I would of wanted more). Now to see how long it takes to get it off!!!
Nancy, Congrats to Denver - 10!! Wow that went fast.... Jan, Hope HOI covers all your damage...I agree, the grill needs to be replaced ASAP!!
Hi to Everyone!
