Chele, thanks for the start. Glad you found a good car phone mount. I've seen those cup holder ones, but it seems like you'd have to look too far down with those. Having it on the air vent would be better.
Karen, we used plastic bags at the store yesterday. I tied them shut before venturing out in the rain. I think my groceries would've gotten even wetter with the standard reusable bags since there's really no way to close them. I should make more effort to bring the reusable ones though. How do you lift the tote if it has most of your groceries in it? Seems like it would be really heavy. Publix has reusable bags for sale, but I've never really seen them encourage them and don't think I've gotten thanked when I used them. They tend to over pack them so they're really heavy as compared to the plastic bags. They had quite a few of the Teavana tea flavors. The one I got was Strawberry Apple Green Tea. I'll give it a try this weekend. I watched FSU's baseball game last night and they lost to Texas Tech. It was kind of sad since Mike Martin is retiring, so that was his last game. He set some incredible records like 39 years of winning at least 40 games and over 2000 wins in his career. FSU wasn't expected to get in the world series this year, so it was a nice surprise to get that far.
Waving to all. Have a great Thursday.

I always have to tell the Trader Joe packers that I have a bad back or those bags weigh a ton, especially the insulated summer type. I get plastic at Safeway to use for dog walks!
Off to lunch soon with past colleague.

Thanks for the start Chele.
Kathy We bought 2 good size reusable bags at HEB to use for our cold foods we buy.Kenneth will tell them to put only the cold stuff in them and yet yesterday the checker told him he got all the cold stuff in one bag and when he rolled the cart out to the car he found they had put the ground beef in a plastic bag but didn't put it in the insulated bag. It's a good thing he noticed it and we had brought both bags. They are heavy but I can usually pick them up myself.
Linda Enjoy lunch.
Waves to all.

Kathy, I have a ton of reusable bags I bring to the store and I have to ask the packer not to overfill them so I can turn down the top of them when it rains or snows. I like for fish and meat to be packed in the plastic, though.
Linda, how was lunch? Where did you go? Only 105! It is going to be 80 and humid tomorrow and I am dreading it. I was supposed to go walking in the park with GF but the pulled muscle is giving me fits, so we are going window shopping instead tomorrow.
Becky, my DM used to repack everything once we got out of the store. Too many years of crushed bread and tomatoes. It used to drive me nuts but now I find myself looking in the bags before they go into the trunk to make sure nothing is smushed.
Karen, how was Osteo? Where did you stop on the way home?
Iggy was up an hour early this morning and he left for work an hour early. The parking garage for work is having some construction and there is a big convention downtown and he wanted to make sure to get a parking spot. It is going to be a long day for him since he is taking clients to dinner. I spent the day being lazy. I won’t tell Iggy that.

Thanks for the start, Chele. There are some places I go through the self-check so I can pack my own bags, since a lot of the baggers seem to throw things in without considering what's heavy or light, what might bruise or break, etc. I have also done what your DM did with repacking. Sorry you're still dealing with the muscle issue. Enjoy window shopping tomorrow. Osteo went well. I had some good numbers and I was working with the owner today, so we tweaked my position on a couple of the machines for more power. I stopped at a big greenhouse on the way home and found a planter that will work well for my new plant, I think. I sent a photo of it to my GF who is the succulent expert and she likes it. I'm going to repot this weekend and then I'll post it in an avatar. I remember those days of getting to campus way early on the first few days of a new semester, so I can relate to Iggy and his parking situation. He definitely will have a long day. We won't breathe a word about your lazy day. Feel free to take another one for me tomorrow.
Kathy, I got thanked again today at Publix for bringing my bag. Sometimes it does get a bit heavy, but I also bring a big cooler bag for the cold and frozen stuff, so everything isn't in just one bag. I don't think the plastic grocery bags are water tight. I have had things get wet in them as well, even though they were tied shut. In which section did you find the Teavana? I didn't see it anywhere at my Publix. I did see it at Walgreens, but they only had the Green Tea Peach and it was $2.97, so definitely more than I would want to pay if I was going to drink it frequently. Let me know what you think. Sorry FSU lost. I haven't paid a lot of attention to the CWS since TN lost. I did see a couple of FSU's games before that point and I heard their coach was retiring. It's a shame they couldn't send him out on top, but there's a lot of competition at that level. Would have been a nice Cinderella story.
Another recall, Linda? They are coming fast and furious these days. It's a shame we can't have any more faith in our food system than we do. I'm glad you only have temps in the low 100s. LOL. What did you have for lunch?
Becky, especially where you live (from both heat and distance from town perspectives), those insulated bags come in handy. Did the mouse ever show back up?
Tomorrow's Friday, Liz. Hope the leg is healing well and you've gotten approval for the other vein injection.
I had light rain most of the time I was on the road. Beats the severe thunderstorms we had before I left and after dinner. We lost power this morning, so I worked out here instead of going to the therapy center, and the power came back on about 5 minutes before I needed to leave. The generator was on so we had no problems in the house, but the gate isn't connected to the generator so it would have had to be manually opened and that's a pain. We got heavy rain after dinner and I'll bet we got close to an inch it was coming down so hard. Tomorrow is supposed to be partly cloudy with a low chance for rain, so that will be a nice change. I am going to an estate sale in the morning where they have some really nice looking yard art that includes herons and turtles. Then I am meeting one of my NC GFs and her DM for lunch. The GF's teenage daughter is in a national dance competition that is being held here, so it will be nice to be able to spend some time with her. She had her DH just returned from a trip to Israel and the pictures on FB were fabulous, so I'm anxious to hear all about it. I haven't seen her DM in about 10 years so it will be good to see her as well. We will be meeting at the best Mexican restaurant in the area, so I'll have the veggie fajitas without cheese or sour cream. I am going to try to limit myself to 6 tortilla chips. Wish me luck on that one.

Congrats to Bob on benign polyps. DF had colon cancer as well. Happens when you have bacon for breakfast and ham or deli meat for lunch every day. Great news on the new vent. I'm glad that got installed before the real heat decends upon you. Take it easy on that new dental work.

Chele, I always check that nothing is getting smushed too and also that they didn't put the bread up against something cold and wet since that's a guarantee of it molding in this climate. That's a long day for Iggy. Does he get to rest up this weekend? Hope the pulled muscle improves soon.
Karen, congrats on the good numbers at Osteo! I reuse the vast majority of the plastic bags in my small trashcans in the bathrooms and laundry and use some others for an extra layer to secure some trash from the bears. This was an unusual case with the guy with no umbrella leaving our carts standing in the pouring rain. The tied bags did seem to be water tight, so the food inside was mostly dry. Do you also use reusable produce bags? That looks like a great idea since I have a harder time reusing those bags. Publix had the Teavana in the aisle with bottled water. It took me a few minutes to find them, but it turns out they have quite a few tea selections there from different brands. They were $2.49 each. I think Mike Martin was very happy to go out with a trip to Omaha, but it would've been a great Cinderella story if they could've finally won it all for him. Enjoy the lunch tomorrow and especially enjoy all six of those fresh chips! They're one of my weaknesses.
Linda, that's great news for Bob and also good that the vent is working. Our "feels like" temps often push us over 100, but never as high as 118. We had an actual 100 reading in 2015, but that's unusual.
Becky, some of the baggers are great and some seem to just randomly put stuff in. Good thing Kenneth caught that the ground beef wasn't in the insulated bag. I often have to rearrange some things.
Liz, one more day this week! Hope the leg is continuing to heal.

Chele What I like about the HEB cold bags is they have a zipper in them.No chance of getting anything wet that way.Kenneth always tells them to put the meat in plastic bags but they either ask him if he still wants it in the cold bag or like the last time leaves it completely out of the cold bags.I think our low in the morning is supposed to be 80 and humid. We still haven't gotten to 100 thank goodness.A day being lazy sounds good to me.Enjoy window shopping.
Karen No sight or sign of the mouse. It probably decided this wasn't a good home and went back outside. You can send us some of your rain. The top soil is already needing some.Good luck with 6 tortillas and salsa. Can you not eat dairy?I would have to at least have the sour cream.
Linda I'm glad Bob's polyps were benign.I had a colonoscopy twice but both times the polyps were benign.
