TOOT, TOOOT! CHUG, CHUG, CHUG! Here comes the Train to Thinsville down the track and into your station, so hop on board and enjoy the ride.
This morning it is 63* and cloudy and going up to 89* and mostly cloudy today with winds SW 10 to 20 mph.
As far as I know there are no special plans for today, so we'll just wait and see what might come up.
Its so nice to have my hair short again and it feels good not have it hanging on my neck.

Good morning!
Today our temp is to reach the low 90s. We will be inside for the most part. I don't think there is anything we have to do from now on. I went for foot care this morning, and it went well. My neuropathy is the issue. But regular foot care is important. The nurse was very careful, and I am happy. Next appointment already made -- about 3 months. Our DGD2 is with us today, and she has asked for mac and cheese for lunch. Easy. We'll use a box, and that isn't nearly as bad for us as the frozen yummies! I'm glad you gals are happy with your haircuts. It really lifts your spirits, doesn't it? Emily, enjoy your weekend! Be happy! Diane

Diane,
Its nice when the DGC want something simple for lunch like mac and cheese. Our girls like that too.
I'm glad your foot care went well and you set up your next appointment too.

Besides two classes at the Y this morning and a short walk, Dave and I hoed and pulled weeds in THE garden. With all the rain there were plenty. Last evening I went to the plant stand that was offering half off plants so finally got something from them, some annual flowers and a rose shrub and of course it had to be planted right away, Needless to say my fingernails are quite dirty!! Love dirt!π I guess I'll have to wash dishes by hand tonight, that should do it!

got soaked today, went shopping at Penneys in our Mall and two more store went out since last time. Didn't find a thing I wanted at Penneys'. we went to Red Lobster and it was pouring so I dropped my friend off at the door. coming out was even worse and really got wet getting the car. we wanted to do T J Max but sat in car forever and it never stopped so we decided to go home. The visibility was horrible and water deep all over the road ways. the larger vehicles like Blazer etc never slowed down and Me and my Civic would get the wave action. Ridiculous. Thought the causeway across the dam would be bad but it really wasn't but did have to take the outside lane as it sloped to the middle. Got home safe and sound but tired out!!! With a headache. here in my area just a sprinkle so that was better.
Doris, I know what you mean, I don't like my hair on back of my neck anymore. Today, thank goodness for short hair. !!
I need to start the Reading thread so will be back later. Know Emily will have a great time.
Diane good your foot appointment went well. My Mom had an issue with a pedicure also. first time she ever went they nipped the side of her big toe and it wouldn't stop bleeding. she was on blood thinner and they were getting pretty nervous in there. She came home with a huge mess of gauze wrapped around her big toe. she got it to stop at home by elevating it and putting pressure on it boy she had a big gash there!! Really ?
Love MAC AND CHEESE from a box, The plain old one!!

Helen,
It sounds like you had a busy gardening day after your two classes at the Y. It was nice that you got some a rose shrub and some annual flowers for half price.
I think you are right that washing dishes by hand should take care of the dirt under your fingernails.

Connie,
It sounds like it wasn't a good day to be out and about with the heavy rain.
I hope you were able to enjoy lunch even though you got wet just going from the car to Red Lobster. I'm glad you got home OK in the heavy rain, but too bad you had a headache. I hope it is better now.
