This thread is for all who like to do sewing or crafting of any kind. We are here to share and learn from each other. We invite all who do crafts to join us.
Good morning all,
Temperature will be 86* with possible thunderstorms all day. We didn't get a storm yesterday until around 10:00pm last night, lots of lightening but our power stayed on. And it was still storming when we went to bed at midnight. When I got to school yesterday Ami and Collin had already loaded the car and gone home to empty it. She had a few things that I could do while she was gone. I brought home the phonograph that we found in a closet to see if I could order the needle and clean it up a little for school. I also brought home the few records that she had. There was a husband there also helping another teacher and he and Collin moved a shelf in that had been in a storage area. It will be moved into her room in the new school. She still has a lot to do but most of it will be moved by the school movers into her room. And at this point, she is just putting things in boxes for them to move. She had to bring home anything that was her own supplies. She doesn't trust the movers and the instructions from the school were to remove anything that belonged to the teachers themselves.
I fell at school yesterday. My sneaker caught on a bag on the floor and I went down on my left side. Nothing broken and I got up by myself, not very gracefully I might add. I hit my thumb and little finger and my elbow. But on the way home, I realized that my left knee was hurting a little. So I decided to stay home from choir last night and put some ice on it.
We are leaving today for Gettysburg, PA and spending the night there. We are going on a bike ride (motorcycles) with my daughter and her friends and will be one of the chase cars (cars that follow a ride in case there are problems with a bike). We are leaving on Friday morning at 7:00am from her church in Gettysburg which is two hours from us, which is why we are spending the night there. We are going to see The Ark in Kentucky. And I think we will be stopping someplace on the way home, maybe Berkley Springs in West Virginia. We will not be home until Monday night. I will probably not be online until Tuesday. So, Phyl, you can start the thread if you want to.
Have a nice weekend all.
