Hi owls. Starting the thread very early today. We're meeting people about 5 for supper and never know what time we'll be home.
Raining here and has cooled off a bit. Glad I got my outside things done yesterday. I've been in my sewing room today. Phyl, having one of those frustrating sewing days. I'm getting tired of doing quilt repairs and mending for my kids. Why is it that young people were never taught sewing in school.
Lin, how is your mouth. Did you post that your tmj flared up after the dentist? I suppose that makes sense with having to keep your mouth open so long.
Ozzie has been a bit blah today. We were outside for a while and he was fine but has been napping a lot.
My DGD is working at a kennel this summer and fell in love with a dog that some people brought for boarding and after several days decided to surrender her. She is a beautiful white/gold retriever. My DGD begged her parents to adopt her and they couldn't say no. They now have 2 dogs and 4 cats. Unfortunately when they had the dog checked at the vet they found she has heartworm and parasites. Going to be very expensive to treat her.
With this rainy weather my friend Arthur is visiting again. Everything sure looks nice and green though.
Enjoy the day. bettyj

hi, Betty you are going to have to tell them no on the quilt repairs. sometimes it is easier to make a new one.
at one banquet the cook brung in a quilt and was asking is any any quilters wanted to repair it.the thing was in strings and ready for the rag box or garbage can. even if it was a family heirloom.
no one would take the challenage.
people who do not do crafts do not know how long it takes, how expensive a craft of any kind is today.
when I went to school home ec was a elective.same with margie. I am not sure if schools still teach it.
I made an apron and skirt in 7th grade. I had no one at home teach me. we had a treddle machine.mom never used it.
today I got the clutter in the family and playroom put away.more like stashed in places. got the other table in the other room cleared off.
now the machine I take to class is on that table. I can have 2 projects going at once.that won't happen to often.
now I have room to cut and lay out something. also be more organized for sew day. phyl
