TOOT, TOOOT! CHUG, CHUG, CHUG! Here comes the Train to Thinsville down the track and into your station, so hop on board and enjoy the ride.
This morning it is 66* and cloudy with thunderstorms this morning and going up to 83* with scattered thunderstorms this afternoon and winds 15 to 25 mph. A few storms may be severe.
As far as I know there are no special plans for today, so we'll just wait and see what might come up.
It looks like today will be a good day to just stay home and keep dry since we don't have any special plans.

Hi! It is already 85* and should go up to 95* or higher today. DH just picked up his RX and got home out of the heat. Not planning to get out again today. It is very muggy.
This morning we met our friends for breakfast, but that is all that is planned for the day. DSIL came over to watch the basketball draft last night, so DH was up late with him Today we'll need a nap. We're not used to the later hours anymore.
I'm reading Joanne Fluke's Sugar Cookie Murder, and it is as good as her other books I've read. That may be the way I spend the afternoon, unless I have to charge my kindle.
Have a happy day! Diane

We got 1" of rain overnight, thankful for the Y. Last night I had an interesting experience. The Japanese lady I became friends with at the Y is now back in Japan. She is teaching 8-10 year olds English. She wanted to do a video call with some of her American friends. At 7pm she video called me and there was her class. They wanted to know my time and then I asked them theirs. And what we both were doing. Their time was 9 am the next day and they were learning English. Then they called again at 9:20pm and it was 11:20am there and they were studying History! Isn't technology fascinating?

Diane,
You are having a hot day today and I suppose we'll be getting more of those days soon.
I think breakfast out was a good choice since it will be too hot later and you can stay inside and cool.

Helen,
Its still cloudy but nice to see some sunshine after all the rain during the night. I didn't have any idea how much we got.
It was nice that the lady from Japan you met here and asked about a video call and you were able to help her.

lunch with Emma was so much fun. she is so good and she was sure interested in our waitress. When she walked away from the table Emma turned around in her stroller to see where she went. She kicked her shoes off and put her feet up on the front of stroller and made herself at home. there are no high chairs in this place but we usually sit in the back area with the big booths. She ate her lunch right along with us, had her baby macaroni which she picks up with her tiny little fingers and eats away with us. My DD#2 did get to meet us there, she is the Great Aunt. after we got home we spread the new beach towel out for her to creep around on but she wanted to stand in the worst way. she bounces when you try to hold her standing up in your lap. I told her Mommy that they need to have a day for a concert or something. The list for babysitters for Emma is long!! so far we have not gotten a chance to do that. Think my DD#1 got to watch her once when her Mommy was getting a haircut.
So it was a good day. sunshine all day and it did make it to 69° with a breeze. I see sunshine in the next few days forecast. Oh gosh we will be spoiled.
Had to toss my little pansy in the tiny white tea pot. It just rotted off at the root area. Too much rain. I guess I should have brought it in house for a couple weeks.

Connie,
I'm glad you had a good time out having lunch with Emma and her mom. It sounds like she is a very happy baby and has lots of people wanting to take care of her.
How old is she now? I can't remember when she was born, but it sounds like she is a very busy little girl.
