Happy Birthday Doris.. Hope you have a super good day.. Tell Hannah I got the thank you card.. so happy to receive it.. not many kids send thank you cards anymore. It is appreciated.
Was going to send an online order just awhile ago and I couldn't see the numbers on my card. I knew my eyes were bad but that's terrible.. So will have to wait and see if mac can see them. His eyes are getting bad too. He has an eye exam appt. coming up. I have an appt on July 9th to get the first cataract surgery done.. Surely hope that helps. I also have macular degeneration and they said they couldn't tell which one was causing the most problem.
Today I cooked the cabbage, onions and polish sausage that will be served with the perogies that I am going to try and make tomorrow.. Well for all of you it will be today.. We are having an international potluck so I decided on Polish perogies.. I'm using potatoes and cheese in them.
Going to bed now.. it's kind of late because I watched tv late.. Watched the first of the democratic presidential candidate debates.
Anyone have a good question of the day?
Jenny

Somehow my name got dropped off the June list. Not a biggie as the month is almost over anyway.
The freon did get replaced in the car but he also fixed the switch as it would only run on high and that noise was crazy! But it cost about $270 because of the labor charge but I have a/c and a quieter switch so very worth it to me!
Had a scare last night. Fred was outside and Bridgette and Bailey were in the backyard. Fred left the gate open since he felt it was fine with him being there. BUT he was working on the car door trying to get the panel back in place and Bailey came out of the yard and he put her in the house. Well when the car is that close Bailey comes around the left side which is how Fred saw her but Bridgette comes around the right side so he didn't see her and I guess she decided to take the opportunity to go exploring! I came out and looked in the yard and asked him if he had put her in the house? Nope. I checked the whole yard and no Bridgette! I checked the house and no Bridgette! We went into full panic mode. I checked the neighbor's yard and no sign of her. Fred got in the car and drove around at least five times. I walked our normal route at least twice asking everyone I met if they had seen a beagle. Fred called the pound and they were going to keep an eye out for her. I was crying and felt like throwing up and just couldn't stop walking everywhere looking for her. She's slow in walking so I thought she had been snatched as I just knew she couldn't have gotten far on her own. I got back and looked at Bailey saying where is your sister? She wanted to go out and I got irritated and said I don't need you going out, I need you telling me where Bridgette is! So off again I went. Then Fred pulled up in the car and said get in I've found her! Turns out she had gotten in a blind spot by our neighbor's garage and Fred had taken Bailey out and she insisted on going into the backyard and Fred followed her and she went right to the fence and there sat Bridgette on the other side of the fence trying to figure out how to get back in the yard! So if I had done what Bailey wanted in the first place a lot of worry could have been avoided. But I told Fred from now on no leaving the gate open unless one of us is in the yard! Needless to say it led to a very sleepless night for me as I couldn't relax to get into a good sleep.
This morning going to feed the kitties and play with them a bit and then have a haircut. Nothing else going on and after last night grateful for that!

Good Morning June Bugs, Very interesting information about the brown cat, Phyl.
Kathie, I have not been to San Antone since my kids were still at home. You don't realize that is a long way from here and would be a vacation spot.
Oh, Sandy, what a scare. I am glad it turned out well.
69 to 92 today. Just a hot summer day. Dew on the grass. At least this year I won't have to worry about fireworks setting a fire.
DD is planning to be here today to go with me for my massage then out to lunch somewhere. She will then set my TV up on the Firestick. I have hooked it up but can't get it to work. They use one so she will know what to do.
Have a great day. I need coffee. Rough night so tired already. ITSY BITSY SPIDER LUCY

QOTD: Were you in a school play?
I was in the senior play in 1957. I did not have a main role but it was not a minor role so I had lots to memorize. I was to be in a play when I was a 2nd grader and wound up with the chicken pox. I begged Mama to let me go back to school because I thought I was over it but she said no it takes X amount of time.

Good Morning Phyl and June Bugs,
This morning is 76* and sunny and going up to 94* and sunny with winds S 15-25 mph.
Today is my birthday and its hard to believe I turned 85. I don't think we have any special plans for today, but I suspect MJ and the girls have some plans. I'm happy to say it is a beautiful sunny day.
I'm not surprised that I find I'm becoming more forgetful every day. My mom and DSis Ruth had the same problem. I finally stopped doing the bill paying because I'd forget to mark it on my calendar. Hannah is keeping track of all that now and MJ writes the checks or pays on line instead of me. This same thing happened to my mom and DSis so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
Auntie Acid: Thursday June 27: I'm putting myself in a "time out" until I can play nice with others... This could take a while.

Doris, I am getting more forgetful by the day. I was getting forgetful when I retired from teaching. I was used to going into an ARD meeting and being able to talk to the parents without bring notes on what level their child was on and what books he was in.
