Hi! AOTD -- I was in A Man Called Peter at our church the summer after senior year. Does that count? I played Catherine Marshall. I still remember my first line -- "It was wonderful, dear!" I was in other plays, but, like Doris, my memory isn't real good. I blame it on chemo!
Today DH and I will meet my cousins for an early lunch. We plan to go to a little diner nearby. It will be good to be together. DH and my cousin's DH get along very well, too. We have no other plans, but to pick up more prescriptions. They seem to be never-ending.
DD has two more days of work, and then maybe she can rest. She has had a difficult recovery from gall bladder surgery. Hope she will be fit soon.
Be happy today!
Diane

Good morning, June Bugs!
Happy, happy birthday Doris!!! Just try not to worry about memory issues. I think we all have that as we get older. It's good that you have MJ and the girls with you.
Sandy, so glad all turned out well with the pups!
Doris, I received Hannah's thank-you a day or so ago. That was sweet of her to send those cute cards.
I've wasted my morning online shopping on Amazon. Had a good time, but nothing is done -- not even breakfast. It's all DH's fault (and I'm sticking to that! LOL!) He asked me to find him some protective covers for his watch. I found some for him, some for me, and two watch bands for me as well. It's kind of addictive! Yikes!
Yes, I was in the plays for the Junior and Senior years. The Junior year, I was a hillbilly girl with cooties. I had a great time, and I was a hit! The next year, they put me in the lead roll. It was a rich lady, hoity toity. I couldn't do the part. So, I guess you can tell, I'm a hillbilly at heart! I created a roll for a church talent show a few years back. I named her Ima Valentine, wore a red caftan and big hat with the price tag hanging on it. Lots of makeup. I carried a washtub outfitted with a string like a musical instrument. My talent is acting foolish! That was a hit as well.
Diane, A Man Called Peter is one of my favorite movies! I think of it every time I say "See you in the morning!" to my DH. That was one of the lines when Peter had his final heart attack.
This is just a regular Thursday. It's sunny and hot today. Gotta rush and get some things done! BBL! ~~Molly

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DORIS.
I am not sure what the day is going to bring but got up early and finished the strawberry pies, put the whole berries on top and made the glaze. They are in the fridge now and DD is coming after her hair appointment. We will try to get her in at least for a manicure. She is leaving on vacation soon.
The information on the beautiful kitty was very interesting. as well as the picture.
Scary story, Sandy, glad all is well. Sorry you didn't get much sleep but boy our pets will do that to us.
I was also glad to read yesterday that Debbie has court date and hoping all will go more in her favor this time. Know she just wants it done!! When are the kids getting back from their trip? Know you will glad to hear all about it. Hope they got lots of pictures. I love pictures but my kids hardly ever take any.
I sent a gift to my DGS#2 of the pictures they sent me from their vacation in Florida. It is just a collage of the pictures on one framed group. I like it and hope they do. I still want to get a magnet of the one of them together all dressed up for the wedding that his SO was in. It was a beach wedding but he didn't take any of that. Which makes sense was just a guest and just her Number 1.
Off to get bed made and do something with this hair, it is laying flat this morning!! Must not have moved all night. Know I had nightmares this morning. Told my friend I was leaving my husband. Boy was she living in a dump sure hope I wasn't planning on staying with her. Like I said a nightmare not the real thing.
QOTD Yes I was in a play in my Jr year , a cute comedy called INNER WILLY. and I was the female lead and was so scared but once it started I was fine. We got good reviews and remember the kids in grade school that we did it for the 3rd day loved that the male lead kissed me at the end. Just a peck on the cheek but they cheered. So cute. Why do I remember that??

Happy Birthday Doris. I'm sure MJ and the girls will do something special. Sand.y, where I live we can't have fences, so Waylon has to go out on a leash. He likes when we visit my daughter since she has a fenced in yard and he can run his little heart out. It's scary when our pets get out and get lost. I tried out for a school play in Junior High School - my best friend got the part. It was a good thing because I came down with the mumps when the play would have been. I was in the chorus for a couple of operettas. I was in a church play once. My only plan for the day is to go to the bank and deposit a check so I can pay my credit card bill.

Connie they get back July 31st.
Debbie was told by her lawyer that Jeff's lawyer had hoped he would show yesterday as he hung up on her and she wanted to talk to him about it but he didn't show. He also said he's applied to 90 companies but won't produce a job log. Then he said he's a very sick man and should not be expected to work but won't produce anything from a doctor verifying this. I just hope this lawyer doesn't quit but if she wants to she would need permission from the judge and with July 22nd being a pre-trial and not a hearing it probably would not be good for Jeff! So just a little over three weeks and we'll know how it will be going down.

Lucy, the kitty picture is too cute. Of course I could be partial cause the orange tabby looks just like my Waldo & with his disposition that might be something he'd do! Pet owners imagine great things about their fur babies.
Yesterday must have been a pet scare day. Waldo disappeared from us too. He wanders sometimes but is usually easy to find. DH & I both looked for him in all the typical places that he goes - no Waldo. DH rode his bike & went around the entire campground. I was getting worried but tried to reassure myself that he would find his way home. He's been gone a couple times before & always came back.
I was in a play my Senior year but do not remember the name of it. I can remember what I wore. DH was in it too because it called for a dog, so he & his Cocker Spaniel filled the part.
I got a couple more quarts of strawberries at the Farmers Market yesterday. I have froze some & will use the others for shortcake.
I picked up a couple more plants. One for a hanging baskets the other a daisy type perennial. I planted them after we got home. Then this morning I planted some seedlings I had & transplanted some zinnias that needed to be thinned. I also did very moderate pruning to the forsythia bushes. I found out they should be pruned right after they are done blooming. I'm a little late so didn't want to cut off too much.
It is hot & humid today - well not by Lucy's standard. The temp is 84 now so has plenty of time to go higher. The humidity makes it a killer. Severe thunderstorm warnings are out - perfect weather conditions for that.
I was entertained by the bluebirds this morning. They are building a nest in the birdhouse! I have a front row seat at my table to watch them. Mama Robin is sitting on eggs again too. Her nest is on the ladder at the back of our trailer next to a small window. Perfect viewing for both.
AK DD's b-day is today. She called this morning to thank me for giving her life. I told her that wasn't a difficult decision. She is happy to be back home after a 6 week trip across the U.S. & back.
Happy Birthday Doris. I wanted to post something appropriate but couldn't get it to copy & paste. I'm not very smart about how to do that.

Sandy, guess I never finished my story. A phone call from our AK DD interrupted my train of thought. Yes, he came home. DH was going to look for him again & when he opened the door Waldo was on the steps, so we don't have a clue where he went. With all the rain we've had the ground cover under the trees is much heavier then previous years & we think he may have just laid down in all the vegetation & we couldn't see him. He ignores us when we call him especially when he's out like that cause he doesn't want to come home.
Very dark now & starting to rain. Windy too. No tornado watches or warnings though - just heavy rain. .

Good night, it is about to storm here. Lots of thunder last night. Been to the dentist. More dentist coming up. I think 🤔 I’ll nap and then go to bed!

Cat, I love the idea of taking a nap in preparation for going to bed!
I visited Mom this afternoon, she was able to carry on our conversation, and I enjoyed the visit. I took her the pretty boxes that I bought at Joann's yesterday. One was actually a Christmas box, but it was denim blue with angels all around it (no red/green), so I knew she would like it for the candy she keeps available in her room.
The book I was listening to on my trip ended; but the plot was not completed, and the reader was left wondering what happened to the characters. The author left her readers set up for a sequel that she has never provided. So disappointing!
Tomorrow is to be another hot humid day. DH is out mowing (8 p.m.) during this "cooler" part of the day.
Hello to Jenny and Kathie who respond to us during those late night hours!
See you tomorrow! ~~Molly
