My DSon fixed the scooter lift today. He cut off the squished part and put it on the other side where it is not needed. It works fine so I won't have to use a wheelchair to take Jim to the doctor. I put the scooter on it while Jim was on the pot and then off....It is just fine again...Hooray! Harriet: My Ford Escape has the backup feature but I could not see the curb that I backed into....I even looked back both sides before backing out... Our Goodwill takes the electronics and so does the DAV....(Disabled American Veterans). DAV even picks things up from the house. I'll be using them when we finally get the house cleared of all the things we are keeping. Nancy: Prayers going for Joel and Matt. Your family sure is close...Happy for you to have such a support group. Do be good to Bill -- He is going to need you! Sandy: What happened with the Prizm? Was it just the neon? I do hope that Debbie is correct about the dates in court. Wouldn't it be great if HIS HIGHNESS finally settles? Such a jerk!!! Glad you are losing that water weight. I have been off track on my eating....I bought cookies (SF) for Jim and ate them all. I didn't even count them....so hard to figure the calories but the scale tells me they were too many. I did better today so my leaf is turned over again. Let's get into our circle of wagons now and sing by the fire "WE CAN DO THIS, YES WE CAN...WE CAN LOSE NEW POUNDS...MY THIN FRIENDS!"

Good morning friends. We are ready for the house cleaners, and I will finally be able to take water aerobics. It has been over a week since they did a class because of the non-functioning pool. I am ready for it. Today will be catch up and finish day - lots of things half done.
Kathie, so glad the lift is fixed. Your son is a jewel - but you know that, right? Goodwill used to take these things but they do not any more. The speakers were operable, and most likely the TV though it was over 20 years old. We had to pay $15 to get rid of the TV. The rest they took without charge. Our charities pick up too, if you have enough to make it worthwhile. Nancy, your family made an occasion of coming to Milwaukee. I am so sad for the reason, but glad you had them there for a bit. Sandy, we will keep our fingers crossed that this will be the beginning of the end. I know Debbie wishes that.
I am motivated to start my filing and making the BIG BOOK for my children. I must do it because the clutter on my desk is getting bigger and bigger. I have had 3 nights out of the last 4 of over 6 hours of sleep. That is a bell ringer for sure. I think there may be something to that blue LED light slowing down the production of melatonin and delaying sleep. I have been reading myself to sleep. Think I will keep that pattern going - no iPad in bed or before it. And it looks like my scales are going down a little. I need them to GO DOWN AND STAY DOWN. I will keep going, and so will all of you. These blips occur, but Sandy, I would have been totally freaked with a 3-5 gain, and all because of a med. Oh my. Hope you get it corrected. Off on my day. We can do it.

Hi everyone thanks for the start Kathie. Glad that the scooter is fixed.
Harriet I wish I were with you in the water. Yes, I enjoyed my family even though it was for a funeral. I am worn out and lonesome today.
Hi to Phyl and Sandy.
Today will be back to normal. I’ll walk, WI, then the ball game with Manor Park. Have a great Thursday! Hugs and blessings to us all! See you later

With taking the chlorthalidone I have lost five of the pounds I gained so that makes me happy! Kathie the freon did get replaced but he also fixed the switch as it would only run on high and that noise was crazy! But it cost about $270 because of the labor charge but I have a/c and a quieter switch so very worth it to me!
Had a scare last night. Fred was outside and Bridgette and Bailey were in the backyard. Fred left the gate open since he felt it was fine with him being there. BUT he was working on the car door trying to get the panel back in place and Bailey came out of the yard and he put her in the house. Well when the car is that close Bailey comes around the left side which is how Fred saw her but Bridgette comes around the right side so he didn't see her and I guess she decided to take the opportunity to go exploring! I came out and looked in the yard and asked him if he had put her in the house? Nope. I checked the whole yard and no Bridgette! I checked the house and no Bridgette! We went into full panic mode. I checked the neighbor's yard and no sign of her. Fred got in the car and drove around at least five times. I walked our normal route at least twice asking everyone I met if they had seen a beagle. Fred called the pound and they were going to keep an eye out for her. I was crying and felt like throwing up and just couldn't stop walking everywhere looking for her. She's slow in walking so I thought she had been snatched as I just knew she couldn't have gotten far on her own. I got back and looked at Bailey saying where is your sister? She wanted to go out and I got irritated and said I don't need you going out, I need you telling me where Bridgette is! So off again I went. Then Fred pulled up in the car and said get in I've found her! Turns out she had gotten in a blind spot by our neighbor's garage and Fred had taken Bailey out and she insisted on going into the backyard and Fred followed her and she went right to the fence and there sat Bridgette on the other side of the fence trying to figure out how to get back in the yard! So if I had done what Bailey wanted in the first place a lot of worry could have been avoided. But I told Fred from now on no leaving the gate open unless one of us is in the yard! Needless to say it led to a very sleepless night for me as I couldn't relax to get into a good sleep.
This morning going to feed the kitties and play with them a bit and then have a haircut. Nothing else going on and after last night grateful for that!

Debbie was told by her lawyer that Jeff's lawyer had hoped he would show yesterday as he hung up on her and she wanted to talk to him about it but he didn't show. He also said he's applied to 90 companies but won't produce a job log. Then he said he's a very sick man and should not be expected to work but won't produce anything from a doctor verifying this. I just hope this lawyer doesn't quit but if she wants to she would need permission from the judge and with July 22nd being a pre-trial and not a hearing it probably would not be good for Jeff! So just a little over three weeks and we'll know how it will be going down.
