Good Morning Marm and LTMs,
This morning is 76* and sunny and going up to 94* and sunny with winds S 15-25 mph.
Today is my birthday and its hard to believe I turned 85. I don't think we have any special plans for today, but I suspect MJ and the girls have some plans. I'm happy to say it is a beautiful sunny day.
I'm not surprised that I find I'm becoming more forgetful every day. My mom and DSis Ruth had the same problem. I finally stopped doing the bill paying because I'd forget to mark it on my calendar. Hannah is keeping track of all that now and MJ writes the checks or pays on line instead of me. This same thing happened to my mom and DSis so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
Auntie Acid: Thursday June 27: I'm putting myself in a "time out" until I can play nice with others... This could take a while.

Home from my morning shift then back again later this afternoon. Just had breakfast. Time to just sit awhile. I was busier than usual at work so it feels good now to just R&R awhile. AC went on last night and sounds like it'll be on now for awhile. It's in the 80's already and humid. Forecast calls for it to be hot and humid at least through the first of next week.
Happy Birthday Doris!! Enjoy your day! I'm sure MJ and the girls have something special planned.
Gotta get up and moving. I need to run the dishwasher and do a few other things around here before going back to work later.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DORIS! I hope your family treats you like royalty today! Where would they be without you? Hang tight, my memory isn’t like it used to be either. That’s the 80’s speaking to us.
Prayers for you Rose Marie! You will soon be able to read what we’ve been saying and wishing for you. I hope you’ll be back posting soon!
Today I was to go about 100 miles north to a birthday party for a friend In my church here, but the gal who was going to drive 4 of us cancelled because of the storm going through right now. It’s better now but it broke a branch off my tomato plant on my deck. The plant is so large that it is leaning against and over the railing for support. I also have a cage and stakes supporting it, but it kind of depends on the railing once it gets to it.
Tonight we have a potluck here. I didn’t know if I’d be back in time for it but will go now for sure. I just made a bowl of Low-Fat Watergate Salad using SF instant pistachio pudding mix, cool whip, can of crushed pineapple in juice, pecans and 1 c. mini marshmallows. The recipe on the box calls for some low-fat vanilla yogurt too, but I didn’t have any. I’ve used both recipes and they taste the same. Once someone brought it with canned oranges added also. That was strange to me. I do make one using orange jello dissolved in 1 c. hot water, instant vanilla pudding, Cool Whip and the (drained) canned oranges, plus marshmallows, which is similar and just as good.

Happy Birthday Doris! Eighty five is a good number to celebrate. At our age any number is worth celebrating. I'm sure your family will make it a special day for you.
Today is AK DD's birthday also. I had a long conversation with her this morning. She called to thank me for giving her life. Told her it wasn't a hard decision but in this day & age it might be for some. Today is also X-DIL's b-day. I will text her later. She lives in NV now.
I got 2 more quarts of strawberries at Farmer's Market yesterday, I froze some last night & have more to do. One quart will be for shortcake. That might be supper if I get ambitious.
I picked up a couple more flowers yesterday too. One was for a hanging basket & the other is a perennial daisy type. I planted both of them when we got home & this morning I planted the remaining seedlings. Unless I find more perennials that I can't pass up, I'm done planting for this year.
It's been HOT today. A storm just passed through. We had severe thunderstorms warnings. It got real dark & windy but not much rain. Only a few sprinkles now & getting brighter.
The bluebirds were back this morning & have been very busy today building a nest. Glad I kept destroying the wrens nest making material. Mama Robin is on her nest a lot so must be sitting on eggs. I can't see down into the nest but once the little ones hatch & start moving around I can see them. They are so ugly that they are cute.
DH got a phone call yesterday asking him to participate in some study - same company that did the kidney study. I think it is likely for kidney's again but they didn't say or he forgot. It won't be as involved as the previous one so he said yes. He goes Monday for the initial screening to see if he is eligible. If accepted he will be gone for 6 days starting on the 9th. I can handle that if he can:)
Sciatic nerve is acting up today. DARN! I wanted to do the rest of the berries. Maybe if I rest a while in my recliner I will still be able too.
BBL to read.

Doris, Isn't that the greatest you all are a team for getting things done for sure.
Ruth, Must be busy, Happy you post anyhow.
Gareth*, Ha,ha, If I have to get up and get moving w/the dishwasher would have to be a kick in the butt for DH or I.
Mary*, Ouch, I know how that hurts when losing a branch on the Tomato plant.
Marlene*, Well as far as gardening goes so does buying plants. The strawberry's will make your sister very happy. Keep in touch on DH and Kidney study. sorry about the pain. Not fun at all.
Well went to Golden Girls, Had fun. different place and was good. DH also went out to eat a place his friend "n" him always eats breakfast. Well DH said the best ever Hot Beefs. Haven't had a good one for so many yrs. can't remember. Unless I make them. Well a bunch of of the strips for the Troughs, came down w/the wind, Storm but short lived wind passed quickly and few drops of rain. DH idea to leave them down and we have an opening to used the hose tough washer. Great idea. Had it for yrs. and never used it? Will be nice to RM back w/us again.
Sleep well Friends... Marm~~~
