I'm IN.
And heading to my WW workshop for 8 AM, to stock up on all their wise advice <snicker> before heading to an overnight encampment on the Battleship NJ with the Young Marines.
I begin today remembering my mother, 🌹Leocadia (Lottie) Kukowski White🌹, born 1910 died 1989. Happy birthday in heaven; miss you, Mom. And as I said in a paper I wrote for college, several years after you'd passed, I am more like you than either of us ever thought would happen - whether we like it or not!
Coffee... ☕☕☕... prayers... packing list... chicken in slow cooker for Toots (and for me, when I stagger back home tomorrow)...
🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿 Have a healthy-eating day, all. 🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿

diva49 , happy birthday and prayers for your Mom. Good morning. Going out in a few minutes to do some gardening before the brutal heat hits. Chicken chores, gardening, and then after that it's A/C and indoor stuff. But first...coffee. Lots of it. And ONE blueberry scone. Have a good day, everyone. KOKO.

Good morning. Warm and muggy this morning here. We didn't have rain yesterday so DH was able to mow the yard. diva49, you are brave to spend the night with the young 'uns tonight. Hope things go well. Nice tribute to your Mom and all of us see a little bit of their own Mom in their behavior. I know I do! fullmahina, the blueberry scone sounds wonderful....enjoy! Where is my coffee? I'm off to get a cup before we leave for our walk.

I'm in. Good morning all! Another hot one today. We'll be trying to get some outside chores finished before the storms this afternoon. They're predicting large hail - we'll see. Should be cooler after anyway. Chicken Caesar salad and an ear of corn for dinner. ((( diva49,))) Lovely tribute. Enjoy the day!

Good morning. I’m in. Nice tribute, diva49; and good luck with the young marines event. I’m drinking coffee and more coffee…because nobody delivered any scones here. I might have to whip up a batch of Blueberry Biscones today or tomorrow. I don’t have any plans for the day, and no desire to move at the moment. I do have a cart of odds-and-ends sitting in the living room that I need to wash and store away; perhaps I’ll get that done today. KOKO

There is always something with this old house (built in 1957). That's what I get for being hell bent on only getting a genuine mid century modern!
Last night I did a load of laundry and suddenly the kitchen floor was wet. The washing machine is in the garage. The garage floor near the machine was also wet. So I have a call into the plumber.

I’m drinking coffee and more coffee…because nobody delivered any scones here. I might have to whip up a batch of Blueberry Biscones today or tomorrow. I would gladly send some over---I even have enough blueberries and buttermilk to make you a fresh batch! Just sent my DD on her way with three dozen eggs and some scones. Such a weird weather day. A few minutes ago the sky was black and the wind was whipping up and now there are patches of blue. Still calling for storms and hail. I thought maybe it would rain and I could skip watering on the deck but it's hot and windy now and things are starting to dry out so I have to get all those planters watered. And what are Biscones? I am thinking a cross between a biscuit and a scone?

I was thinking he meant biscotti but autocorrect wanted biscones.

I was thinking he meant biscotti but autocorrect wanted biscones. Audrey I googled "biscones" and the recipes look like biscuit recipes that are cut into a triangular shape? Here in the USA most scones you find are triangular but not in other parts of the world. I always make my scones square which is perfectly acceptable. I find that they bake more evenly that way. They can be made round, triangular, square---really any way that pleases you. I like the square ones because the recipe I make works perfectly when I shape it into a 6" x 6" square and divide it into nine scones.

zazzles,I think I use your scones recipe. Now I want scones. Went to DGD basketball games. Poor DGD was so disappointed that her team didn't win because she did not get a new basketball. Her team was undefeated. They played today without their 2 best players and had no subs. Won the first game but were exhausted for the 2nd game. Oh well, life goes on. DH wants to go to a new Irish pub for dinner, can't imagine anything we'll be point friendly...

I’m in. One of our WW peeps lost her dd a few weeks ago. Today there was a celebration of life. A small group of us met up and attended together. Lots of food and fellowship. Tracking the best I can and moving on. Have a good day everyone.

finreporter I hope it was a cheap easy fix, like a busted hose or something. Did someone say Irish pub?!? 🍀🍺 *I cannot imagine burying a child pamthomas46 sending prayers for her family.
