TOOT, TOOOOT! CHUG, CHUG, CHUG! Here comes the Train to Thinsville down the track into your station, so hop on board and enjoy the ride.
This morning it is 77* and going up to 93* and sunny with winds SSW 10-20 mph.
The dogs have been out and came back in and had their breakfast and Hunter settled back down and went to sleep on my bed. Bailey is asleep again on the sofa in the living room.
I slept about an hour longer than I usually do and I just had my early morning medicine about half an hour ago, so I will soon be ready for some breakfast and whatever the day will bring today.
As far as I know there are no special plans for today, so I'll just wait and see what may come up later.

Good morning!
It will be another very warm day today. This morning, we will go to church and then to our usual brunch with DGD1. Today I want a pancake! After brunch, we'll take DGD home so she can get ready for work and after we drop her off, we'll go to Sam's to pick up our order. We'll get it in the house, and DD will come to pick up the things she wanted in the order. After things are put away, DH and I will have a quiet afternoon and evening. Doris, I know that was a scarey event last night. I remember all too well how I felt when they kicked our back door in! Glad you are all okay!
Have a blessed Sunday! Diane

Diane,
After reading your post I really would have liked a pancake for breakfast but I already had a bowl of Cheerios. I probably wouldn't make just one pancake anyway and I don't need more.
What surprises me is that these guys who try to break in aren't scared off by our two dogs.

Good morning Doris & ATF,
Sunny and currently 83; the high will be 85. Our heat wave is over!
Today is visit TJ and hopefully be outside.
That sure is scary, do the dogs bark when they hear the door rattle? DD's dog starts barking the minute I touch the door knob when I go to their house. I live on the second floor so I really don't hear anything if someone touches to door.
Have a great day!

Emily,
Bailey is big, but old, and doesn't hear as well as she used to. Hunter is already two and he barks at all kinds of things. He is a good watch dog and lets us know when he hears something. The guys who have tried to break in don't seem to be scared off by dogs.
I hope you have a good visit outside with TJ today.

Doris, My first thought was "you know who"! Maybe Dogs would not bark or warn you if it was. Sure that was a scare and good that the Police come when MJ calls.
It is so clear today no humidity and blue skies. Couple days of nice weather. I am staying home today and plan to get some things done so I can go to pool tomorrow for the first time. It will be quiet there and for the first time I kind of like that. I am not sure why that is but after that I am okay. Mostly only family anyway. but that putting on a bathing suit the first time is really a shock these days. LOL
I need to find my beach bag today and get out the beach towels etc. I have been slow getting it all together.
I like pancakes for dinner but can't face much in way of food for breakfast. Piece of toast or a muffin is about it. Now and then half a frozen waffle as I need something with the BP meds.

Connie, We tend to have the same thought but we don't think he is anywhere in this area. As far as we know he may be in Washington State but we don't know for sure.
I wish the authorities were more interested in picking him up for non-payment of child care that was court ordered. I guess it has to do with him being out of the state where it was ordered.
I like things like pancakes for lunch or supper more than for breakfast.

The house is empty now except for me, the dog, and Dave. I walked this morning thinking it was still cool, but it wasn't!! Then church and DS#1, DDIL and DGD#1 came at lunch time. Matt and his two youngest came later and then they all wanted to go to the shooting range near here and wanted me to go too, so we all took off. I enjoyed DGD#5 do archery. She took archery camp this week and learned to do it well. DGS#3 likes the gun target practice. Fortunately the place is well supervised and Dave was a hunter safety instructor years ago so it is safe. Also communicated with DGS#2 as he wants to store some of his stuff here while he gets ready to move to ND. It's been fun to watch those first four grandchildren in all their stages and now all are doing something in the fields they are studying towards or are already there.
I'm glad the guy didn't get into the back door, Doris. You'd think barking dogs would scare him away.
We sure had a surprise this morning! The other side of our duplex had a sold sign on the lawn and we didn't even know it w as for sale. These houses sell fast! Good neighbors--he was a retired grocer from Seward

Helen,
I'm sure it was quite a surprise to see a sold sign on the other side of your house.
It sounds like quite a few of your grandchildren wanted to do the gun target practice and DGD5 is doing archery.
