I hope you all had a positive thought this morning.
Liz, I hope the second injection brings more healing and pain relief to the leg. Sorry your left hip and right knee are paining you. That was a great joke! I love white peaches and nectarines. They are sweeter. 87° in the city is brutal with all the glass, steel, concrete and people. I remember it well. Take it easy on yourself.
Becky, I don’t know how you walk in 89°. I just go out to the front or backyard and am drained. I walked through Meijer this morning wheeling the cart pretty fast to get my steps and my heart rate up. I am glad you like your Vivosmart. Nothing like your watch giving you a pat on the wrist for a job well done. How have the kitties been?
Kathy, I saw a weather report that said you might break 100 today. Yikes! I can’t wait to near how DN enjoyed his trip. Was he traveling alone or with friends? I am hoping Iggy does the front as well. He pointed out an area in the back near the shed I missed. Oops!
Linda, a birthday near a holiday is always combined. I am glad you are having a special diner on Sunday. I like Flemings. I will be avoiding TJ veggies. Thanks for the Downton Abby spoof link.
Karen, I hope your back is better and you work the kinks out at Osteo.
I found fresh figs at Meijer and was ecstatic. The produce guys went in the back and got me fresh off the truck mint and Italian parsley for Iggy’s tabbouleh. The fridge smells marvelous. We are still in our heat wave and it should continue through the weekend. Iggy gets Thursday off but has to work Friday. Saturday we are going to the niece’s baby shower and then the Dayton Dragon’s baseball game.

Chele, thanks for the start. Nice quote and very true. I think it's our heat index that is going over 100 today. To quote one of our weather guys on the heat index, that's just ugly! They are talking about up to 112 in some spots, but the actual temp will be around 96. When I took the trash out at 6am this morning, it was already 81 degrees and 91% humidity. I can't stand to be outside in this kind of weather. I bet your fridge does smell marvelous. Mine is a bit empty at the moment, so I'm off to the store in a bit. DS and I went to DM's for dinner Sunday night and it started storming a couple of hours before DN's flight was due. I jokingly said you're going to wind up picking him up in Tampa. Well, his fight wound up being diverted to Tampa! They took off again pretty quickly, so he got in to OIA around midnight. One of his friends from high school went with him for the first week and then he was on his own for a few days.
Waving to all.

Thanks for the start, Chele. I just got a chance to log onto the thread so my positive thought will have to wait until tomorrow morning. I'm not sure I've ever seen fresh figs in the grocery store. We have a tree here but it hasn't put out many. I can imagine how amazing your fridge smells. That will be an outstanding batch of tabbouleh. Speaking of home cooking, when does Iggy fly out to visit the fam? Too bad he has to work on Friday. Dale does as well, but he doesn't have a commute. Are the Dayton Dragons a farm club for the Reds or the Indians or some other team? A or AA? Hope you'll see some up and coming talent. Osteo wasn't great today. Two problems--first was arm and upper back soreness from yesterday's gardening. But the other problem appears to be related to my new running shoes. For two exercises, I have to push with my heels and the shoes aren't letting that happen. So I'll wear a different pair of shoes next week. I worked with the owner and was the only client there so we tweaked some things but we'll have to retweak next week in the other shoes. Is the pregnant niece the one who already has a young'un?
Kathy, I'm sure your DS didn't appreciate your almost being right about having to drive to Tampa. Did she have to work the next morning? Hope not! It's good that DN had a friend there for most of the trip. Will you hear all about it in person on Thursday? How was the grocery store today? Is your fridge restocked? Did you find some good things? I stopped at Publix just for my favorite kombucha because I was running low and they are one of only a handful of places that carries it. I also went to Earth Fare for a few things and to Food City on the way home. I wish I could get everything I need at one place, but that doesn't seem to be happening. YIKES on your heat index. Ours is only in the 90s. Nice that it's at least daylight when you take the trash out at 6. I hope they will change to a later pick up time as the days get shorter.
I think you're right about the Vivosmart 4, Becky. I'm less excited about the stress level than I am about the pulse ox. What color did you get? I love that I can customize my Alta HR to match what I'm wearing and I have about half a dozen different bands for that reason. That won't be the case with the Garmin, so I don't know what color I might want. I got less than 5 days on this week's charge (have been getting 7 to 8 previously), so I think it's only a matter of time. I also don't know how you walk when the temp is almost 90.
Liz, how was the injection? Are you in a new Unna or something smaller? What's gong on with your pups these days? Is Wally settled in like you need him to be or is he still having issues? If I was looking for a 2nd dog,the perfect one popped up with the local basset rescue group. She is 4 and her owner suddenly died, poor baby.
What was on your agenda today, Linda? Will tomorrow be a museum day for you? If Kathy's "real feel" is over 100, how's the heat at your house?
I had a weird heat related issue on my trip today. I came back out from my Earth Fare stop and the tire pressure indicator came on when I started the ignition. I thought "not again" (well, maybe not those exact words--perhaps a bit more colorful). All the tires looked fine. I turn off the ignition and turned it back on and the light didn't come back on. They have recently repaved their parking lot so apparently the new asphalt caused the tires to read at a higher pressure level. I'll have to remember that next time I shop there. I'm tired and a bit sore. Hoping for a good night's sleep tonight. Arya has been a bit more active in her sleep and is inadvertently waking both of us up several times a night.

Thanks for the start Chele.I was drained and soaked yesterday.I don't normally walk in the afternoons this time of year. However walking this morning with 78 degrees and humid was harder on me than at 89-90 yesterday. The cats are fine.Marcie is laying across me on my recliner while I'm trying to type here.It is supposed to be 98 by the weekend but we have normally had 100 degrees plus by now so we are fortunate.
Kathy In 2011 we got up to 112 once during the summer. That was the summer we had 90 days 100 plus temps. We have had feel like temps of over 100 in June but nothing over 98.I'm glad your DN got home safely after getting diverted.
Karen I'm sorry Osteo wasn't great today.Pulse Ox does drain the battery some so I don't use it on my app.Mine is kind of a wine color with gold around the screen. You cannot change the band out in this one.It is kind of frustrating on walks when it goes to vibrating to tell me my hr is too high though.I do like the body battery stats. It tells you when your body is charged up enough for the day and when it gets low it wants you to lay off exercise except for the hourly walk it prompts you to do and no way to get around that part.I have never gotten even a 5 day charge on any fitness tracker so you are lucky but then again I never let the battery run real low because they take too long to charge.
Waves to Linda and Liz.

Ok only 107 today which is the norm this month, but we will get humidity as the summer wind shift and storms begin usually mid July, I will take107 and 12% humidity over 90 and 89 % any day! only 94 at 10:30 with shade down the east side if nearby street, so Micki got a decent early walk five hours after his mirning one with Bob.
. I was at Tuesday Morning this morning for a few imported food goodies they have started to carry. I decided to go ahead and be a little bad my birthday week. I can be good next week!
It was that after walking Micki , two banks, Discount Tire for free air check in tires, post office , gas up, then Safeway for hot dogs and salads for tonight which dh loves. Then Micki got a long overdue bath and went wet-dog-nuts in the yard for a few minutes.
Liz, hope things continue to improve.
