OK DH is getting ready fro his appointment, no I am not going with... but work doesn't need to know this! HA! Yes I simply said I would need the "sick time" (FMLA) because Ken has an appointment! LOL It's "only" a dentist appointment... sorry, I realize I am being "one of them" but I need this day - and I don't care!
Yesterday shopping was interesting... not as crowded as I feared... got most of it done except a few last minute "local" things to grab... We lost power throughout town (while we were gone) so DH called to let me know not to hurry home for the Open House - it got postponed... no power - no party! YAY!!!
What was weird is that we left WAl-Mart, and headed to Ocean State Job Lot... a mile from Wal-Mart... THEY had no power either... and they are 30 minutes West of US! LOL So no biggie... that's not a store I "shop" at, I wander/browse and find "stuff"... but nothing on a list! LOL
So we got home - and I had time to get my stuff sorted and organized... and with ANY LUCK it will get wrapped today!
I also want to get my work gifts made and pulled together...so I can take them later in the week - but get them all prepped! Meanwhile I need to finish the decorating...and CLEAN THE HOUSE!!
Shelly: i am not sure a cleaning lady would be in my budget either... just wishful thinking I guess... also it would feel "weird" to have someone in my house to clean - feels like a luxury I don't deserve... just wondering how all these busy women here get this stuff done! LOL
OK Laundry is started... need to flip it and get more going... pull something for supper... and plan my day... would rather just sit here and build a fire and find a book to read! HA!!
Oh JO... what was the name of the book you are reading? Losing weight.... something.... something....
Will try to CBL, but also hope I am so busy getting stuff done - I won't be back! Does that make sense?? Have a wonderful Monday everyone ♥hugs♥

Well, today is hectic but not too bad! Thankfully, Rita's department continues to be fairly quiet so I don't have a lot of extra stuff to do for her!! This week, there is minimal vacations in the production office but next week they will be VERY thin so it will be more "helping" there!!
Had my baked omelet for breakfast and have some fresh pineapple for later...also have some almonds and veggies if I need to munch!! Lunch is salmon and butternut squash! Need to make sure to get my water in today...did not do well over the weekend and my fingers feel a little puffy!!
Not sure I'll have time tonight for personals, but needed to check in and get some focus after my disastrous day yesterday! I hate when I let stuff derail me....it was so bad yesterday I actually told Jason I hated Christmas and that is NOT me...I love this time of year! I was just so over whelmed. I think that was the moment I told him I was going to sit in my recliner and watch a 1/2 hour of a Christmas movie to "change my mood"...it helped, then I put on some music and continued on with the tasks at hand.
I just get so frustrated when the perfect plans go right out the window from the start!!
Will try to at least read off and on throughout the day so I'm at least kind of in the loop.....I totally missed yesterday so feeling a bit lost!

Good morning! Well my Dad cancelled our Christmas get together yesterday. Those coming from Chicago were having fits because it wasn't as icy up there as it was in central Illinois, but I wasn't going to argue with my dad about like my sister wanted to. It turned out that DD who lives more west than we do and has to travel on more secondary roads had a car that wouldn't start, so that would have been a disaster and she was supposed to bring 2 side dishes. We are probably looking at New Year's get together now, maybe Jan. 8. Sad because my Dad has not met Kennedy yet.
So it was 2 on my car thermometer! I wore my long thermal underwear!
Nadine-pork loin sounds wonderful. My hubby has been asking what I want for Christmas and I thought about a 7 quart slow cooker. I have a small crock pot but would like to make bigger batches of meat, etc.
Christine-I know how that bad weather doesn't go over well with the kind of people who don't like being stuck inside and get cabin fever. Good idea to start a puzzle!
Jo-glad things are working again..I was afraid that we were going to lose power because the trees were iced up this weekend, but we didn't.
Sue-oh my all kinds of issues on your baking day! I can just picture all those sprinkles on the floor!!!
Carol-we have Verizon and have been with them for a long time, but I have been considering switching but we are in these darn contracts to pay for phones now...I have heard that T-Mobile is ok.
I have decided to go ahead and work through Thursday because I need the money...I have been spending more on Christmas gifts than I had planned. Not real busy though but going to start doing things ahead to be ready for the seminars.
Try to BBL!

And the holiday glitches continue....bought the wrong size box of pudding for the trifle so now I have to wait until Jason gets home with it in an hour or so...
So...now to plan B! Will eat some dinner and then go get the next box to ship to CT ready to go tomorrow!! Then when he gets home I'll finish the trifles and pack the goody bags for everyone. I can't do that part now because I need the counter space to spread out a bit but it's covered with 20 individual trifle cups...OYE!!
Not sure the tree will get done after all??? It is what it is...I'm not letting it derail my food....I've got this!

Oh, Sue I feel for you, my day yesterday wasn't a good one eihter. I found out the hard way about the chocolate chips on the first batch of buckeyes. I bought Chocolate bark at the grocery store instead. Worked like a charm! Glad you got all that done though. Hope you get the chance to get the tree decorated tonight. Oh those poor boys, they have to feel horrible. Glad theyd got the antibiotics not so they will feel better by the weekend.
Nadine, yes the puppies can be so demanding sometimes. When I'm trying to get on the computer or look at my phone in the mornings Charlie is right beside me nudging me to pet him. You are good to let DH sleep longer.
Christine, its seems like it takes forever for that stuff to come off after surgery. hope you got your new ace bandage. Some of those can really mess with your skin. I dont' blame you for jumping on the chance to have this week off. You deserve it!
Carole, yes I thought it was a little outragious too. Wow. What did you get done today?

Carole, real weight loss for real women by Cookie rosenblum. Google it, the book is free and I'm thinking of signing up for her group plan after the holidays.

Good evening. Here. Go again getting on here late. Hope I can get through before I start falling asleep.
Nadine thanks for starting us off. Sorry Sidney cannot give you a few min to yourself. Did you get your tree decorated. I went and got a small 4 ft tree. Will see about trying to get it up tomorrow.
Christine glad you was able to rest your knee yesterday. I'm glad you took all week off. You need it.
Jo I get the same way. I have a fan that blows on me and sometimes it helps. Sorry about the dressing. It sounds like everyone likes I
Ok can't stay awake. Going to bed
