I'm IN. Toots has an afternoon gig. He's leaving shortly - his day will be at least 13 hours long. I wonder what kind of trubble I can get into around here... Having coffee... ☕☕☕... and breakfast... and sitting in a sunbeam... 🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿 Have a healthy-eating day, all. 🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿

I'm in and off to work. At least I can see the ocean while working in air conditioning :-)

I've been dealing with a bathroom leak, will probably have to replace the vanity and heirloom bedroom furniture😢 Then the air conditioning in the car started blowing hot air (another week of 99 temps) very irritated because the car was in the shop about 3 months ago. My DGS from Wisconsin will be here next week and my car can carry everybody. Car is going in Monday.
The Servepro people are coming again to check the heaters and dehumidifier.
DD's boyfriend is taking care of the pulled pork and ribs. Getting ready to make my cheese ball, then a cucumber/tomato/onion salad. Mac n cheese for the kids. Watermelon and bomb pops for dessert!
Our club does a spectacular 4th fireworks show. We bring chairs and drink bourbon slushies with our friends. It's always a special evening

Good morning all and HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! I'm sure many of my neighbors will be setting off their own fireworks tonight. I worry about the animals in our neighborhood, especially the horses.
I'm grilling burgers and hot dogs and DH will try to eat some. He's feeling pretty well after his dental surgery yesterday.
Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Good morning. I’m in. I slept in this morning thanks to the allergy pill I took last night. I’m tired (from the pill) but rested—weird combo. Breakfast was Latte, French toast, coffee. Lunch will be leftovers—perhaps the WW Risotto. Dinner will be grilled steak, baked potato, and veggies.

Happy 4th of July. Our flag has been flying all week and I put a smaller one in the front door planter with a patriotic pinwheel. Noticed my neighbor, a Korean veteran, putting small flags along the borders of his yard. I fed DS's dogs and cats and then came home to make breakfast. Lazy day here doing wine organizing and using the pool. Dinner is ribs, corn on the cob, grilled tomatoes and salad with a good red wine and strawberry balsamic gourmet ice cream for dessert. We are eating early so I can go to DS's house to crate his dogs and give them treats. Our Lily Belle had a rough night as there were three huge booms after midnight. She slept downward dog in our step down bath tub where she could watch me in my bed all night.

Happy Independence Day!
My husband and I are away from the usual in a small town in a lovely part of eastern NY state. We had a great day! On our way here (in NJ just below the NY border) my husband asked the gas station attendant about a lunch place near there, and would you believe suddenly Steve Carell, the actor/comedian, who was also getting gas, answered our question?!?! He drives a Porsche.
The little town we're staying in is lovely as is the Airbnb apartment were renting. We'll be mostly driving across to western Massachusetts most days, hiking, swimming in nature swim holes, visiting a museum or two, and attending two concerts at the Tanglewood music festival.
It's only a little after 8 pm and my husband is already sleeping, though not "officially" (he's in day clothes). No need for fireworks for us.
I really love the part of the US that I live in, and in which I grew up. It is where much of the Revolutionary War was fought. It's possible that hubby and I may move abroad someday, but I will always be an American, from the region I've been all day today.
