Happy Day All!
HAPPY DANCING FOR CONNIE - down 3#!!! If you do decide to take a computer break, please let us know in advance so we don't worry about you like we did Dayle for so long.
Emily - wishing Ed a happy retirement. Having had a DH, sons and grandsons in the military going to dangerous places I can only imagine how hard it was for you on a daily basis. Happy for both of you. Please thank him for his service.
Don't really feel like personals today. My thinker isn't working real well, so just those few comments...
Did get a pedicure yesterday and we had a really good meal at DS’s. Also visited my neighbor and Bella.
Neighbor has been really down as she and her sister had just gone through her mother’s house which had been ransacked. Her mom (96) is in a nursing home with severe dementia. The house is the one my friend was raised in and she was in tears. Going through it made her realize the finality of it all. And, to see her mother’s things strewn about was tough. Although, they didn’t touch the cabinets or hutch with the beautiful china, etc. All I could do was listen.
I’m going to try to get outside this morning and clip the hosta blooms back, but it’s SO VERY muggy. It’s already 77 and going to 95 with heat index of 100+. BTW, who cares what the dew point (71) is? I think it’s something someone came up with so the number would be lower than the humidity (96).
Well, DH is up so need to think about breakfast. May just do cereal if I want to get outside early. Cheers all!

Good Morning All
Connie - Congrats on the 3# loss. Thanks for the Happy Dancing exercise. I feel honored that you have chosen to continue with us on Roll Call. We don't want to lose you.
Sue - How are your Magnificent Seven?
Penny - Someone told me in regards to our family home/house.... When Mom, Dad, and kids no longer live there it is Just a House. The rest is memories and those you take with you wherever you live.
Doing my laundry and gathering donation items.
Everyone have a Tremendous Tuesday.

Good morning Penny & ATF,
Sunny and currently 74; the high will be 91.
I have an allergist appointment this afternoon and after that I'm hoping to go see Frankie & Vinny for a few hours. I didn't check yesterday with DD to see if they had plans for today so I'll call later.
Ed thanks everyone for your good wishes for his retirement.
I need to run to the grocery store for a few items and then whatever comes my way.
Congrats Connie -3# is great!
Have a great day!

Thanks you !! I am pleased because even though I have been just messing with a couple lbs back and forth this was an actual 3 more lbs.
Lin, I love that watermelon salad and DD said they have some watermelon for me. Sometimes I have to admit I put more dressing on it. I have been using the balsamic vinegar dressing!!
It is mostly cloudy today and I am going to hang sheets on line anyway. There is enough sun they will dry but debating about the time at the pool. I don't like the overcast days at the pool much. I can cut back my hosta as well and my rose of sharon bushes are banging on the siding in the wind these days so I really need to trim some of it off. They are more like trees than bushes but so pretty when in bloom which will be soon. My hanging baskets do look good but think it is time to take them down and put them in the yard and water them good. Sometimes when I water them hanging it seems to run right through the baskets. They are that mossy like filler in shape of the basket and then the dirt. Sometimes that is a pain but like the look of the wired basket. So will deal.
I will certainly let you know if I do decide to take a break. I wouldn't want you to worry. I really was a bit upset yesterday and trying to realize that writing is not the same as actually talking sometimes. Not a thing on here was bothering me though. I love this thread!! Thanks for making my day everyday. Like talking to a good friend that you don't get to see. Sorry kind of mushy this morning.
I did get my hair cut and colored yesterday, isnt' it funny how a simple thing like going to beauty shop or getting nail done makes you feel so much better. Then I met my old friend that is here for 3 days from North Carolina. she rode up with her DD and DSIL but she is staying with her friend in town this time and did rent a car. Oh boy that is dangerous. I would not want to be on road when she is. When we left Peebles where I had to meet her, I was glad I was going the opposite way. She just had time for a quick visit and wanted to shop as well so we did both.!!! Hey I did buy two pair of summer earrings. One pair is silver and looks like lace!! They are short dangly ones and so summery looking. the other ones are also silver but have a tiny black ball dangling also just a little. Would you believe I had just thrown 3 pair of old ones away day before yesterday!! get to buy one more pair!!!!
Have a good day everyone!! What ever you do. Did offer to babysit little Emma but DGD said they were all waiting at the day care place to be sure she really was doing fine after her roseola and the high fever. (think that is how it is spelled) I got a video of her in her walker chasing the dog down the hall. She is fine!!!

Morning All!
Connie great news – your 3 lb loss! And it’s so much better when it’s unexpected. The summer puts a damper on my appetite as well. But usually by fall its back in full splendor. We would definitely miss you if you disappear, but if the need is there, please know you are always welcome here. Penny keeps talking about me disappearing. Really can’t remember when that happened, but it must have been during the dark days when I was physically limited and confined to the house. Everyone here has become such a nice part of my daily routine. Make coffee, get breakfast and see what the ladies have been up to. Always an adventure going on here with the ladies…….
Penny is the neighbor you’re talking about in Florida or Georgia? I am thinking Florida, because so many people are away from their homes right now. If it were Georgia I can’t imagine you would have trouble with Charlie around. Talking about kicking someone when they are down. What a terrible thing to have to sift through, especially with their mother in a nursing home. Really depressing.
I took the car to the dealership yesterday and they said they fixed it. This new thing where your car kind of turns off when you make a full stop is not going to go over very well with the masses. They tested mine and said it was working fine, ir-regardless of the crossed out line running through the indicator light on the dash board. The service guy told me I would get that cross out if I had the rear defogger on (which I apparently did and didn’t know it) or if I had the defroster on as well. He told me the system has its glitches and ultimately will not hurt the performance of the car. He said just keep turning it off when you get in your car and everything will be fine. I did have to get the new car when this gadget was new – right?
I’m waiting for the vet to call me back – Lily’s allergies are in full bloom, biting her paws terribly. Hopefully he will up the meds to give her some relief. I spent most of the night holding her back paws so she wouldn’t chew on them. I feel for her, poor thing.
I got an invitation to my nephew’s fiancée’s bridal shower. It’s a gift card shower – what a wonderful idea! The house they bought is a real tiny one, and has little storage. This way they can spend as they need and get the things that matter to them most. I’m going to get them an Omaha steak gift card. My nephew has become a master griller and her fiancée is in love with twice stuffed potatoes.
Well must get the day started. Hope everyone enjoys their day!

Dayle, that shower is a good idea. Niece in Hawaii is home in NY visiting and there will be a shower ...not wanting to pack or ship stuff!
Penny, that is so sad about the attack on the house. I think if you are A smart thief going to rob a house for small items, you should leave no sign! By the time people discover missing small things, you have safely moved on and neighbors will not remember if they saw anything. At very least if you are going to rob people you should not make it worse!
I actually slept late...unusual, a d DH did not wake me. It was 9;44 and I leaped out of bed, dressed fast, grabbed water and jumped into the car for a 10:00 blood draw appointment for my annual thyroid appt. Ate a banana and drank water at red lights. Pulled into parking at 10. Then I got to wait 25 minutes! phew. I hate driving half asleep with no coffee. No plans for the day...mind still not really up and running.
I have made it to three days between Zyrtec before the itch/ hives return. I was thinking maybe it us gone, then my back started to drive me nuts in bed.
iT must be an immune system slow build up of histamine after the antibiotics.Seems to happen after certain ones in many people. Or it just makes your allergies worse...used to have this for a week every October for three years, then two or three years it happened in Feb after we moved. Micki needed apoquel a couple times this week.Doctors basically do not really know. They say take antihistamines. Darned glad they work and we have ragweed right now anyway.

Hello everyone
Quick check in
Had a lot of fun last night in Vegas. After dinner with a cousin we went to DD restaurant and had drinks at the bar. Was fun to see her in management mode.

Hi friends. I don't post every day but always read the posts. I would miss all of you. Your lives seem so interesting compared to my hum drum days. Seems that I post the same thing every day.
Connie, congratulations on 3# loss. That is a lot for a week.
This morning we went to the cheese factory. We were down to American cheese slices which are not really cheese at all. Sure don't taste like it.
Finally sent an email to rsvp for my 55th class reunion. I won't be attending. I was even on the planning committee, long story.
Burgers and Cole slaw for supper, good meal for a gloomy, rainy night.

Betty I agree with you after eating really good real cheese the American Cheese slices have no taste and they were my DH favorite. Loved his grilled cheese sandwiches with it. I prefer sharp cheddar or even provolone in a grilled cheese sandwich and always ready to try most any kinds. Hope you found some good buys, I love our Cheese Factory. Wish it were closer.
i have to get blood work sometime soon for Thyroid, checking on the change in meds. Better not forget.
Went to pool today. Lot of clouds but nice temps and humidity down. DSIL was just back from mowing his Mom's yard. She kind of pushes it and he is hoping to get his done tomorrow. He was pretty warm from that but on afternoon so off to shower and have his lunch. Always nice to see him even if just for a little bit. I took a book today as when it is cloudy I usually sit on the deck during the cloudy times but when the cloud moves I am back in the water and on the raft.

The magnificientbgroup of seven is doing quite well. They have been complainingg about the rain, but it doesn't do them any good! Although they keep me busy, they are a wonderful comfort to me.
Water problem is temporarily fixed. I have to call the drilling companie. The low pressure in the house was caused by a broken sprinkler line in the front yard. The warer tank, filter, back flow interrupter and something on the pump till need to be repaired but not in such a hurry.
