Good morning! I'm IN. I have errands this morning and then over to the grands for the afternoon while DD has a doctor's appointment.
I saw my oncologist yesterday and blood work looked good. I'm thankful and I will return in one year. Yea!
Hot and dry continues here but at least it looks like "Barry" will stay away from my side of Houston.
Waving hi to all!

linda72, Best news ever! I'm in. Good morning all. I need some extra coffee this morning since I overslept but, because I overslept, I really don't have time for more coffee lol. We have a rainy day on tap here. I haven't had to water anything but, the potted plants this whole season. I'm off to an appointment now - Have a good day everyone! Prayers for safety for those in the southern flood zone and storm's path.

I'm in. Hot and humid here. A bit of an onshore breeze may make walking possible at lunch.

Good Morning and congratualtions linda72 for the good report. I was diagnosed with low grade lymphoma in 2002 and have been holding steady since then with annual exams now close to Halloween. It's always in the back of my mind because when diagnosed they had only studied it for 20-25 years. diva49 spreadsheet for retirement is an oxymoron Each day ask what you do for you! I am babysitting Saturday while Henry's parents have a movie date and I am taking Rob's son to zoo camp on Monday because his brother has a doctor's appointment at the same time. Today I have a selfish day all to myself. I walked this morning and it was muggy and hot compared to the same time yesterday. I couldn't wait to get home. I found another box of dolls in the storage room for the girls to look at for their daughters and will find other things to occupy my time. Yard work was done yesterday before the gardeners came this morning to mow and blow.

linda72 , YESSSS!!!! Good afternoon. I had a good hard look at what I was getting for what I was paying with my WW membership, now that the promo period is over. And yeah...guess what. Yet again, not getting enough bang for the buck. I kept telling myself that because I liked the leader at my center and the group was generally nice and occasionally inspiring, that it was worth the money. I could ignore the fact that the leader was not helping with the weigh-ins, members were standing against the wall of the meeting room waiting to get weighed while the meeting was in progress (and beyond!!), and conversations between the weigh-in person and members being weighed were able to be heard all during the meeting. As long as I thought I was getting some benefit from going I would continue. Maybe it's Mercury in retrograde, who knows, but my patience right now is razor thin. Add to that my sweet old dog has a horrible UTI (being treated now) and is scheduled for surgery next month for another issue. Maybe I am just a cranky old fart but I have zero tolerance at this time for stupid or lazy or incompetent. Especially when I am handing over good money for it. So I cancelled. I wrote a rather scathing response in the "Reason for cancelling: Other" box but I doubt that it will be either read or addressed. I declined the offer of a free month. Honestly, right now I get nothing from the website, I don't follow FreeStyle, I despise "Connect," and am disgusted with the meetings. The good part is that I have lost about ten pounds in the three months since I returned to WW. But it was by using MFP, not any WW plan. I used WW for accountability and am glad that I did it and perhaps someday I will do it again. But for now I'm going it alone. Okay, rant over, time to take my old girl out for a pee run again. Thunderstorms headed our way. Oh, and for anyone wondering...the massive police presence the other day was indeed for a missing person. 47 year old man...he was "found deceased, near his property" according to a State Police press release. No other info whatsoever but I can only think he took his own life. So very sad. He left behind a wife and two young girls. KOKO.

linda72 , that's wonderful news! Thanks for sharing that today. fullmahina , I hope your doggy recovers from the UTI soon and does well in the surgery. I have also found good success with MFP. I think I have learned more from online forums than I did in WW meetings I went to. The price difference is major. I used the free features at MFP. Even the Premium are comparatively cheap. I know that some love the meetings, though. That's just horrible about the missing man. It's far too common. More common than even gun-related deaths (though most gun-related deaths are suicides).

fullmahina, sounds like your mind is made up FIRMLY. Just keep in mind you can get in on any current WW discounted deal so long as you aren’t currently a paid member. During may of the PointsPlus years I was over goal and paying for a Monthly Pass, usually on a multiple-month discount. When the discount period would run out, I’d cancel and let the current month expire, then go online and pick up the current discount deal. When WW cancelled our meeting, I raised my goal weight with a doctor’s note and stopped paying them. We still get together every Monday, in WW’s own Studio, and have our own social/meeting—simply without a leader. The Guide, of course, is there for open hours and encouraged us to do this. I think we buy more stuff now than we did when it was a meeting. And the added benefit is we don’t have to listen to a canned presentation on topics of little or no interest to us.

LOL, "firmly"---let's just say I've been this "firm" many times before. There may come a time in the future when I will feel like I could benefit from a few months of meetings...who knows. Not ruling anything out, knowing my history.
