Avatar is Iggy and I in 1981. He was a hipster before hipsters existed with that beard of his. Check out the short shorts on him and the long hair on me. What a hoot!
I hope everyone is well. It is another hot sunny day. I went out on the patio this morning to drink a cuppa and the condos being re-roofed.. The guys were stripping the shingles and it was too noisy to enjoy listening to the birds.
Yesterday the finches were in the zinnia pots dining. I got a shot of them but they blend in so well you wouldnāt be able to see them in the avatar.
I am making a pot of cannellini and spinach soup. It was supposed to be dinner but Iggy said he didnāt want soup and heās make himself a sandwich. Fine by me.
I am feeling good today on the allergy front so I got a good workout-indoors.
Karen, I hope you have a good session at Osteo with the different shoes.
Hope to BBL.

What a fun picture!
DH woke me at five taking Micki out and I was so clogged up I couldn't sleep again. Good thing because the tree guys showed up early at 6:15! Gone by 7.
The tree died because it had carpenter ants...see them in holes in the stump. So tomorrow Critter Tech us coming to insert gel bait to kill the colony. They wanted to spread granules but I said I did not want to kill the dog, thank you! I have a little fence I can put around the stump for a while.
About then, the itching began early. must be also stress related. It seems to have calmed.
That is after we drop off dog at groomers as he is overdue and hot...and humidity is now up and 113 degrees! Had to order more special shampoo from Amazon. Yesterday the gasket at the bottom of the shower door...to prevent leaks...tore and disconnected. I sort of patched it with clear packing tape temporarily as it has to flex like weather stripping on a door. sent photos to our window and glass guy. he will get back to me.
New laser printer arrived...old one says the photo conductor needs replacing...uh part is 15 less than new printer. Not dealing with getting that to talk to wifi and devices until old one dies.
The ink jet color printer ran out of black. Went to Walgreen's to refill. they stopped that service. Went to Costco...oops not open until Ten. one from Amazon may come today. Usually I have a spare.
Trying to get ambition to go to chair yoga 12:15 class

Chele, great picture! I have one of DS and DBIL and he's wearing the short shorts plus white socks that go about halfway up his calves. It's quite the look and DN thinks it's hilarious. The re-roofing is so loud. There are still a lot of houses in here that haven't had their roof done and you can see missing shingles on some. I'd be worried if we got a tropical storm or hurricane. Soup sounds better than a sandwich. Glad the allergies are leaving you alone for a change.
It's clouding up here again, so it may be another rainy afternoon.
Waving to everyone. Have a great day!

Linda, I hope you are not hurting too much and that you didnāt do too much damage to the knee. What a day you have had! From trees to printers and beyond! Elevate and ice sounds like a great idea and maybe a margarita!
Kathy, I am sure DN got a real kick at the shorts and socks. We used to have a picture of the boss posted on the bulletin board playing golf in tiny shorts in the eighties. There are several condo buildings in a city like setting. This is the second āblockā to be done this summer and the one right behind us hasn't been done yet. I am glad Teddy isnāt here to hear this. I took him to the office when we had ours done. I wouldnāt want missing shingles in the kind of rain you get in Florida.

knee seems ok, bit sore, knock on wood. Never helps to fall on it though. Thank heaven for thick carpet.

Thanks for the start, Chele. You and Iggy definitely look 1980s in your avatar. Dale never wore short shorts until he became a runner. That's still the only time he wears them. Do I understand that the condos are under construction? Shingles are noisy and this time of year, they can also be smell due to the heat. Don't blame you for not staying outside with that going on. This is quite a day with everything being celebrated. I just finished some Rainier cherries before I started this post. Aldi also had them on sale this week. The soup sounds good. I agree it's better than a sandwich, and probably healthier as well. Good that Iggy seems to be feeling better. Hope it was just that brand of tea giving him problems. Osteo went better with a different pair of shoes. Still didn't hit my high numbers but my form was better. I did have some pain in my right knee, which limited what I was able to do on one of the machines. Congrats on getting ahead of the allergies. Mine are still in full force so I'm hoping we'll get a good bit of rain today and tonight so the grass pollen will get knocked down quite a bit.
Linda, OUCH on the fall! At least it was on a soft surface. I hope the ice does the trick and the knee is the only affected body part. Sorry Micki didn't get his walk. How did things go at the groomer? Why is it with home ownership that you get one thing taken care of and something else happens? The tree is gone and now it's the shower door. Sorry about the heat AND humidity there now. Congrats on the new printer. Amazing that you could almost buy a new one for the price of the part you needed. I hate that we are forced to throw so much stuff away. Did you get to chair yoga?
I'll bet DN gets a laugh out of his parents old photos, Kathy. Remind him that some day his kids will feel the same way about his photos. The clouds and rain still haven't moved out of your area? How much rain have you gotten since the weekend? Publix has Greenwise veggies 5/$10 in this week's ad. They also have the Attitude salad mixes on BOGO. I was really hoping they would have B&J's on sale or BOGO but no such luck. Dale wants homemade ice cream sandwiches in lieu of brithday cake in a couple of weeks and I would love to be able to make myself one to have while he's having his, but with non-dairy for mine. Maybe next week.
Liz, I hope Zoe does well tomorrow. Have they said how long she will need to be in the cone or donut of shame after the surgery?
Looks like you may not even get a sprinkle from Barry, Becky. Were you able to walk today or was it a total bike day? What are you going to do with the knee that still isn't where you think it needs to be soon?
I got home about half an hour before the rain started and it's been raining ever since. I encountered a couple of showers on my trip but they didn't last long. Arya insisted on being plastered next to me all night and she woke me up numerous times. So I didn't sleep particularly well. If it's raining over night maybe she'll sleep better.and I will, too. Hopefully I'll be able to swim in the morning.

For Zoe, Petsmart and Maybe Petco have an inflatable thing you can attach to collar that keeps them from reaching the tail area , but isn't huge like the cones. that failing, vets have soft cones made of fabric. The cloth gets in the way of licking but isn't so difficult for navigating.
We have had luck folding a hand towel lengthwise couple times and wrapping around the neck and taping it.
Also tee shirt through front legs with knot taking up slack on back...but the tail area would stick out.

Chele, the worst part of the re-roofing is when they're tearing off the old shingles, so hopefully they'll be done with that part soon. Then you get all the noise from the nail guns. I'm sure you're not looking forward to them doing the section closer to you. I would think some of the houses here are getting water damage with missing shingles for this long. They've been missing since Hurricane Matthew hit in 2016 and then more were lost with Irma in 2017. If the insurance companies decide the damage is from a storm, the 2% hurricane deductible applies and that stops a lot of people from getting repairs. Linda, glad the knee isn't too bad and hope the ice helps. Good thing it was on carpet and not tile. Karen, DN has a beard almost as thick as Iggy's in that picture, so that's going to come back to haunt him at some point! I already went through the B&J from the last BOGO, so it's probably a good thing they don't have one this week. The ice milk version of Cherry Garcia was really good. I haven't heard the rain totals, but we've had at least one heavy downpour each day. That's not that unusual this time of year though. I'm having some Rainier cherries for dessert tonight. Liz, hope all goes well with Zoe tomorrow.
Becky, did you get any rain yet? 97 is awfully hot, especially with the humidity.

Thanks for the start Chele.I love your avatar.I'm glad you are feeling good with the allergies.
Linda I hope your knee feels better after icing it.
Karen They said on the news they didn't even think it would turn into a hurricane. We got 2/10" last night. Some places around Austin got 1" or more.I walked this morning and did the bike this afternoon after we got back from Bastrop. My cell has been getting so slow so we went to Best Buy and I got another no contract phone. It's faster and charges faster also.I have been trying to get used to it and transferring apps.I have been using some hemp cream but other than that not much I can do about the knee.
Kathy Just a light shower last night. We aren't expecting much if anything in the way of rain.It has been hot enough although we got what they called a summer front this morning and it was 75 when I walked at 8:00.It was really comfortable then but has gotten hot and humid since.
