WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

DS and GF are having a travel nightmare....last night’s flight was cancelled, they had to get a flight from TX to Vegas, then Vegas to Chicago and now headed to NY. We also having traffic issue. Hoping they still make all the wedding festivities... The joys of traveling..... On the plus side, my eating has been very light, yesterday was mostly 0 point foods.
Nancy, what a story...so strange about the feathers...and having to tell Michael...no easy... Lifetime membership rules haven’t changed.... but if Louise signed up for digital only till she’ll back in goal range, she would have to pay a one-time $15 fee to get the voucher Jan, laughing picturing Roscoe chasing the chickens and you chasing Roscoe..glad the chickens won!...hope they stay safe... Kathy, maybe just assessing one day at a time will help..or .don’t worry about it at all just concentrate on making the best choices. Louise, hope your day is going well.

Saw an eye specialist this morning. I'll definitely need two cataract operations about two weeks apart. Plans will be finalized at next appt. in a month. It's time.
Lori - My friend was flying Frontier Airline from Trenton for a funeral. They had to leave for the airport at 4 AM. When they got there, they were told the flight was cancelled. No other flights available. They missed the funeral of a very close friend. All they can get is a voucher for which they have no use. More and more stories like that seem common these days. You'll still see DS and GF, right?

Lori, what a hassle for your son and gf. Were they flying Frontier? A friend just had a terrible time with that airline.
Nancy, if I recall, cataract surgery is not a huge deal. I hope that’s the case, anyway. You’ll be glad to have it done.

Jan - You're right. It's a simple operation. I'm not concerned. They will even pick me for it and bring me home after. Everyone's offered, but this way I don't have to impose.

Thursday's Stats: SP 21 AP 2 - 22 minutes walking the dog and 13 minutes by my self. Marisol wanted to go in after 7 minutes and I let her. Tonight I kept her out there for the full 15 minutes.
Water - 41 oz Self WI 149 taking me into a new decade.
About the mug. It was on the bottom shelf of my island and got pushed off when I did something at the other end. So I picked it up and decided it was time to use it. It's a purchase from WW but of course it is marked Weight Watchers since it was bought a long time ago. It holds 32 oz and the scale for that and also in ml is on the side of the mug. It's double (cup with in a cup) construction probably to keep the water colder. Came with a plastic straw that has a cap on it. I'm drinking much more water using it.
Wanted to say sorry regarding all the lost chickens. I guess it's just a fact of life when you have farm animals.
Lori-thanks for the input on the costs. I have to call WW because even though I put in the last eTools voucher in June, I got charged for that month and they have set up to take the July payment. That was my error. I waited too long to use the voucher. I think my cost for LT return from having no monthly visits is $13.95. I noticed some little differences comparing with the fees you quoted. I did get a screen, I think yesterday, that referenced I was on eTools and then quoted the prices for the various combinations. Think that happened because I opened up Connect after having the cancel community announcement yesterday. That doesn't make sense though because I've got access to the entire site; i.e. I did get into Connect. So now I'm probably confusing everybody <g>. The weekly topic is also on the website but I'm not sure if that will be accessible either.
Nancy-I've also heard cataract surgery isn't that bad.
Night All.
