WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C99D8, 16 points, 1344 calories, 8 water
walked to play pool at clubhouse, walked home, nice long walk after dinner.
This was a strong week - no isolated anything. 21 untouched weeklies and 9 untouched rollovers, average calories 1264.
Tomorrow lunch with DGK-19 at Ruby Tuesday. I know how to do that meal. It will be a petit filet mignon, broccoli and 1/2 baked potato, no butter. I'm pretty sure they discontinued the cheddar bay biscuits. If not, I'll have one. I don't think they put bread on the table either.

I have a graduation party tonight, so I won’t track foods today. I will eat sensibly, and enjoy a few things this evening. I don’t really know the boy who graduated, but his mom take my class once in a while. He did wrestle Alex early in the season before Alex dropped down in weight class; he pinned Alex. This boy is good and went to states. He’ll wrestle in college with a good friend’s son who’s a senior. Someone said the party isn’t really for him, but for his mom. I kind of believe that. It’s at someone else’s house with quite the outdoor setup, inground pool, inset trampoline, outdoor pool table....
Louise, congrats on your weight loss. Doesn’t it feel good to be on track and in the right mindset?
Nancy, I’m really hoping your perfect week pays off at weigh-in.

Down 2.4!!!
Jan - the party sounds like fun with lots of diversions away from the food table.
Lori - Did they make it to the wedding?
Someone at the meeting has something she said is to die for. I got the ingredients and will let you know. You put a cup of Diamond Almond Breeze unsweetened Vanilla milk with a sleeve of Orange crush or Root Beer crush and about a cup of ice in the blender. The orange one comes out like a 711 slush (like a creamsicle). 1 point, 40 calories.
Gracie's here. Gotta run......

Jan - Actually I was shocked because of that minimal gain last week after the binge. I had a delightful afternoon with Grace. So much to tell me about Hawaii and cheer camp and next year at Louisville. Did I tell you she didn't make the cheer team this year? It was a shock and a huge disappointment but she seems in much better spirits now. She's seriously considering transferring to the U of Hawaii either after this year or even mid semester. It will depend on how she likes school without Cheer. She and 3 other girls have an apartment - 4 bedrooms, 4 baths - and all of her classes are in three days. She didn't do so well in the GPA department last year and plans to turn that around. She looks gorgeous with her suntan. What a sweetheart. There's something extra special about the first grandchild.
