Nancy what is a Chewnola bone? Is it soft or hard? The reason I'm asking is Bailey is really missing having bones and yesterday actually had a temper tamptrum trying to find them! She took all her toys out of the basket and then dragged the dog bed all over the place.
The Virginians arrived at 7 last night which was a surprise as we expected them much later. But our son then went to meet his sister at Mass and we ordered pizza for them as they hadn't eaten since 11:30. My daughter-in-law wanted me to get pizza that we like but we had already eaten so I just asked what they liked and then got a pepperoni for the girls. They thought we were going to eat some as well but Fred did and I visited with everyone and nobody even noticed that I didn't eat any. So one night down and good on eating!
Not much planned for today. The girls are at Debbie's as they love spending time with her and Maija and Jeff. I know at some point Mike and Cindy will be checking into their hotel and I think Adam might go with them to use the workout room there. So Fred and I will have time on our own.
I felt so bad for Bailey last night. First I have to say our son Mike absolutely loves dogs, they have two Jack Russell's. With his two he gets on the floor and pulls up his hoodie and wrestles with them. He loves it and so do they. Well he did that to Bridgette and Bailey. Bridgette just looked at him as though to say okay crazy human I don't play like that and ignored him. Bailey was absolutely terrified! She kept looking for a place to hide and he thought she was playing until I told him she was scared to death of him! Then he felt bad and tried to make up with her but by then she wanted no part of him!
Actual temp this morning is -3 with wind chill of -13 but they say it will get into the teens today and warm up through the week.

Good morning SandyIL and all who follow. Everyone must be busy or sleeping in. I didn't get up until 9 and reluctantly then. I finally slept but had taken the antihistamine my doctor gave me for sleeping when DH was diagnosed. I don't take them often because they don't always help and do make me feel druggy the next day. But last night I really needed to sleep.
SandyIL, Chewnola is a Purina dog food product. It's a beef rawhide wrapped around a meat-like filling and covered on the outside with a crunchy granola-like oatmeal and rice mix. They feel hard to me, but they are chewy once she gets them wet with saliva. Then it gets soft and pliable. It doesn't break off in chunks or anything like even a milk bone does. You might check with your vet. I got them at Petsmart but also have bought them in grocery stores. Must be popular because many times they are sold out. Sorry Bailey got scared of your son...sorry for her and for him. Maybe he can make it up to her before he leaves. C and my DH used to wrestle on the floor sometimes too. C always won! Now every night, she brings me a toy and stares at me until I get down on the floor and play with her. Hope your weather warms up significantly soon.
When it was so cold here on Friday, the tire pressure light came on in the Camry. I called the Nissan place today to see if they could make it turn off, and they can't. They could do the tire pressure but not make the light go away. So I will take it tomorrow afternoon back to Bristol for my dealership there to take care of it. I won't shop or visit anyone this trip though...just there and back. On Wednesday, Lowes is coming to install the new storm door I bought for the front door. I got it just for security. Sometime when DSIL is here long enough, he will install security cameras over all four outside entrances. Then maybe my DBIL will stop worrying.
No plans for the day except some laundry. We shall see what else pops up. Cricket needs a walk for sure. Have a nice day and nice week.

Good morning Petites, I slept in today too and it felt good. I was able to go to church yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it, just seems to make my whole week go better.
Nancy, glad you were are to get a good night's sleep, it really helps your feelings. The tire pressure light comes on in my Honda van several times during the winters. I'm not sure how your Camry works but the light in my van goes off when they add a little air to the tires. I've also found that I can get the overwhelming light to minimize if I just hit the settings buttons. Try it, might save you a trip to Bristol since you have no other business there this time.
Waving to Sandy, AIM & ATF, hugs and prayers to all,
Bo

Bo, adding the air will not help, according to the local Nissan guy. He says Toyotas require the light to be turned off at the dealer. I plan to ask tomorrow to see if the Nissan guy is right.
I laid down on the couch at noon to watch The Kitchen on Food network and promptly fell asleep for an hour. Surprisingly, when I awoke, I felt much better. I guess I was more tired than I thought I was. Luckily, I had hit "record" so I can watch the show later! LOL. It's one of my favorites.
Wonder where everyone else is today?

Hello everyone. Productive day for me. Mailed out of town cards, returned a package to QVC, went to bank, and did grocery shopping for the weekend. Went to WM and it wasn't bad. Plenty of checkouts open and didn't have to wait. Bank was just as bad. Am so proud of Sophia not bothering the tree so far. Watching Harry Connick show now. That's it for me.
Nancy, the low tire pressure comes on in my car so times with extreme changes in temperature. Always take it to dealership and they fix it in a minute. Could leave it if I know tire pressure is ok, but the light bugs me!
Sandy, glad your family arrived safely. Hope, your son and dog will get used to each other! I live animals too and would be upset if they didn't let me pet/love on them.

Hopping on here late - but morning flue buy ... walked Buddy, had breakfast, then put Beef stew on in the crock pot. Went to Aldi market and then to Ralphs. Just made some more Chex mix and it's baking for awhile. I've decided I like Aldi stores now - their fresh vegetables are really nice and about 1/2 price as anywhere else! I also got butter and cream cheese for less too! So now I'm a fan of Aldi's! The first time I went to their store it was opening day and it was wall to wall people...today I could really look and shop! It's a cold day here and the beef stew will taste great tonight.
Sandy, Thanks for the start up today..Congratulations on having so much control on your eating! That is what it takes for sure.
Nancy, the new storm window sounds like a good idea! Nice to have it for the storms and also for security! Good luck tomorrow getting the tire pressure light fixed~ Good to get a little cat nap this morning...they work wonders sometimes!
Bo, Good for you getting to sleep in this morning!
Waving Hi to Everyone! I need to get some gift wrapped - don't know where this month has gone...all I know is I'm running out of day's before Christmas to get things done!

Good morning!
Sandy, thanks for the start-up!
I thought I started it last night - obviously not! LOL! Anyway, since I thought I started it, I was in no hurry to get on this morning. 'Bob' the Bissell and I have been busy this morning. I got a new recipe for Bailey's fudge so was trying to get my cleaning out of the way first, so it would get done. Now, I've discovered I need another bag of chocolate chips so I am on my way out the door!
Just going to wave HI for now! Maybe I'll be back after the fudge is done!

Hi everyone, just getting to sit down now. This morning I went with 2 friends to Blue Moon Gift Shops( bluemoongiftshops.com/ ) . A lot of local artists sell their artwork there. Came home, talked o my friend Cheryl. She sounds the same, like no time has gone by. She has had her own health issues. Tried to get caught up on 35 years. On a sad note her younger sister passed away 18 years ago. I had heard she passed but she confirmed it. I think that is why I was afraid to talk to her, confirming Jackie was gone She & I took a few trips together too and she came to our wedding. We will try to have a gathering of us and a few other friends from our NYC days.
Tom took me to the food store so I could pick up a few things. Going to get dinner ready in a few minutes. Its cold here, high 30's. It almost feels like snow. I think tomorrow night we will have chili, one of Brian's favorites.
Stay warm!

Joy DH read that more snow us or educated for mountains in Hawaii. I've never heard of that till you started talking about it. Fairly nice here today. Next couple days may be a little cooler, but this weather is great!

Glenda, our mountain is COVERED and bright white! It looks beautiful!
Linda, you had a busy day! Yay for Brian coming tomorrow! Thanks for the potato recipe on FB!
Sharon, I'm jealous that you have Aldi's! My sister shops at one in MO and loves it!
Bo glad you had a good night's sleep!
Nancy, my Accord had one of those lights that come on when the tire gets low - only time it ever did it was when the temps cooled off. However, when we put more air in, or it warmed up, it would turn off. Not nice that yours has to go to the shop to be reset/turned off!! Glad you had a good night's sleep and a nap!
Have made a batch of Bailey Fudge and it is pretty yummy! Also had to run to town to pick up our good friends - their brakes went out while they were in town! Dropped it off at the dealership and we went to pick them up!
Have a nice evening everyone!

Had a post composed but went away from the screen and it disappeared.
Linda: We all share your disappointment. We wish him a speedy recovery so he can come see you.
I didn't have a very good day...even had to take a nitro pill. I'll be glad to have the appointments tomorrow and maybe see why I'm not better than I am. I have to leave the house at 7, so probably won't post before I go.
