WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

Monday already?!
Nancy, China for DS. What a trip! My former SIL took my niece and nephew to China last fall. I can’t even imagine.
Louise, nice job passing on the bread and ice cream. I don’t think I could have done that.

C40. D2. OP. Tracking. Going out now before it gets too hot.
Nancy - good for you on the jewelry! Less stuff to worry about and take care of. Exciting that DS goes to China.
Jan- you are a great role model for prioritizing exercise. I've developed a sharp pain on the top of my foot - from Google it looks like a tendon thing. I'm still going to walk 4 miles with my dog starting in a couple minutes. It's Monday, and work is waiting, but I have to prioritize my health. Fyi - I asked DH to fix my bike.
Louise - great job on the healthy choices.
Lori - hope you had a great time with DS and all!
Hi Cindy- hope all is well with you.
Hi to all who folllow. Have a great day!!

Yesterday was heart warming...spending time with DS,GF & their friends...wish we could do more of that. Our next trip to Texas is for a long weekend in about a month to see their new home, they are super excited and can't wait to show it off! I would say I mindfully enjoyed our pizza dinner like everyone else! Happy with how the eating went this weekend…
Nancy, great news about the jewelry!! and awesome about China, wow!! Maybe someday we’ll both get to Hawaii…
Jan, Wow! 7 mile run and 23 miles on bike in the same day…I’m speechless…can’t even imagine. Love that you enjoyed every minute of it!! I’m still struggling to get my step count up…I did complete my 2 ST(strength training) days..lol
Kathy, love that your wedding was so much fun and you didn’t have to break the bank!! Sounds like your mindset is at a good place!! Hope your foot didn't bother you during your walk...
Louise, Hold on to that Good feeling!!! Your mindset is also in a great place! Great job passing up dessert...

Sunday's Stats: SP 10 AP 4 - We took four walks yesterday.
Water 52 and 7/8 oz
SP is so low because I had forgotten that the corn and the lobster were zero point items. However the saved WP will be put to good use today. We are having Omaha Steaks 5 oz Filet Mignon wrapped with bacon. SP for the steak are 11 with 1 more for the bacon. I'm seriously thinking of just eating half the steak. I was also planning on Steak Cut fries that are cooked in the oven. When I pulled them up I noticed a discrepancy between nutrition facts here online and what the bag said. They obviously made a change to attract savvy customers. The only items that went up were fiber and protein. Every thing else was cut with a significant reduction in calories from 140 to 110. FYI the vendor is Lamb Weston.

Lori - There's nothing like time with our kids. I'm so happy you got to enjoy the time with them and still have another visit just around the corner.
Louise - Great idea to cut the steak portion. No reason you can't cut the fries as well. I usually have 3 or 4 oz steak and 3 oz fries in case that can serve as a guideline. Whatever you decide it sounds like a yummy meal. Enjoy while eating mindfully.

Kathy, how is your foot? I would guess it’s tendinitis.
Lori, it sounds like you had a great weekend! Plus you have next month to look forward to. Love it! Be patient with yourself, your step count will eventually increase again.
Louise, what a nice surprise that the fries were lower in calories. That doesn’t happen very often.
Nancy, nope, I’m really not curious about my weight. If I knew my starting weight, it would be a different story. I’m guessing I’m down about 10 pounds.
My foot felt fine for my run this morning, but it was absolutely killing me after step class. My step count is almost 28k today. I didn’t have the option of taking it easy after it became sore. It’s looking like a bike ride instead of a run in the morning.

Jan - I can't imagine giving my line dancing class with a sore foot so the thought of your more aggressive step class makes me shiver. Hopefully it will feel much better after the bicycle ride. Do you have any class-free day? If so, would you consider a complete DOR? Heavens forbid <gg>
