TAKE TWO TUESDAY... Nope I don't mean we get a second chance at today - I mean let's take TWO habits, we KNOW will help our weight loss progress and MAKE THEM HAPPEN TODAY - TUESDAY!
My TWO will be: 1.) WATER - LIQUIDS - DRINKING more healthy options; 44 oz water + 32 oz seltzer + 40 oz decaf green tea = 116 oz of liquids for my day! 2.) TRACKING/JOURNALING... I have my journal with me and I will write in it - track my food, not counting calories or anything - but just JOURNAL my food and my day!
I am feeling better - and ready to make this a "way of life" for myself, starting NOW!
Tracy actually went shopping yesterday while Ken was at his appointment - so last night Ken got the produce chopped, and I WILL throw a salad together for lunch today, and have chicken cooked to go on top! Breakfast might be 2 HB eggs... snack can be cucumber slices in vinegar and almonds, maybe a string cheese and an apple? I think I'd like to get back to my three meals a day - no snacking... I know I can't "do" No sugar/No flour every day for the rest of my life - but I do want to try that today!
So I guess I am going for THREE things today... LIQUIDS - JOURNALING - No Sugar/No Flour... we'll see how it goes!
Meanwhile - yesterday - worked my butt off for 2-3 hours, then got mundane "Chores" done - kept pretty busy, and feel good about the day! I started my landscaping (?) Project by the front porch. Digging up the edging stones from out front - and moving some to the driveway side of the house. I have the stones laid out - now to "fill in" behind them... simply with ROCKS, yes the little rocks we found out back when we were getting ready to install the tub... I want the drainage to remain the same out on the driveway side, but want it to look nicer... so we will fill in around the foundation with these rocks - then I can "plant" Planters of flowers next year - NOT flower "beds"... nope - don't want the weeding and the maintenance of that - so instead we will buy planters and just set them in the stones! We can't so a lot there anyway - as that is where the rain comes straight off the roof(s) so it really is just to look better! I also cut back an overgrown shrub on the corner of the house, IF it survives (which I am sure it will) I will have to keep it better trimmed or find a way to pull it out... roots and all!
Around that project I got the usual chores of laundry and dishes done... didn't find any GREAT Prime Day Deals but have a few little things in my cart to buy today... earn 3% cash back instead of the usual 1%! NOT a lot of money - but, eh, it is only stuff I really want/need so WIN-WIN.
So today I head back to work - Debbie is out so it will be a Day from HELL for having yesterday off - but SO WORTH IT, as yesterday truly was a good day! Even dealing with Kaitlin's drama over having to do my work and Debbie's and her own - I know we will all be "overwhelmed" today! LOL
Oh and Ken's Dr... well, I am NOT "convinced" that it's not his blood - and apparently there is no test to do to see if his blood is thickening on the new med or not... BUT... he was given a prescription nasal spray, to clear up the congestion in his lings. He didn't do so well with the breathing test they administered... so they sent him for a chest X-Ray. From previous experience we KNOW that the chest X-Ray does NOT show the clots that he has had... SO... I feel like it's a waiting game - to see IF the congestion clears up or he has to DEMAND a CT Scan! UGH!
Let me refill my coffee and see if I can catch up. ♥

Sue: Seeing all of your pictures I am soo envious! As well as excited... seeing/doing so much - and having both girls and the families... Rafting today - how fun!! WOW Getting good steps each day and good SLEEP! Almost 7 hours... that's good for you isn't it?
Shelly: YAY for getting your hair done... always feels great to get that done doesn't it? Sorry you have the worries of mowing... I need to get DH on that again soon! A Glucose monitor? Sorry I guess I forgot (?) you have sugar trouble... yes call the Dr for a full work up - to give you a baseline for your home monitoring! I was thinking your Iron level might be low again... keep us posted.
How's work been going?? Any new applications to be considering??

Good Morning! Rains are moving in later today and will last through tomorrow. That's okay. I'll be at work and not missing anything plus my lawn could REALLY use the rain...temps going up to high 80s .... Yesterday I had bills to pay (ugh, boo) and finance stuff to figure out - doing okay there - I can NOT get stressed, right? My shingles won't heal if I get overly stressed!! LOL Doing okay with the healing too - most blisters are forming on the scalp which honestly is better than around my eye - Today we have more K Orientations - three more sessions this week with 20 children per session. It will be busy! I'm still trying to remain very positive and optimistic that the Prince DOES want me to be a part of the Team - but man, he is AWFUL at communication - I think he continues to have this attitude that others 'don't need to know' information. Which of course is problematic down the line.... I had to complete a Pre-Evaluation Questionnaire - WHA??? lol - so I went online and saw the state already has a MANDATORY Performance Review for School Leaders/School Psychologists. I followed that framework and used most of the terminology from the State's site to complete the questions - my questions stated things like "What are your strengths and how will you benefit this organization" lol lol (soo old fashion! From the 1980s 1990's business world, NOT Education!) so I am convinced DL wrote the questions and will be the driving force - I loaded my responses with Education terms she would not know!! LOL No surprise they didn't think to follow the Mandatory performance review!

OK I think I will head out and get my lunch bag packed - before I head upstairs to shower... need to grab the load of towels out of the dryer too.
I know Debbie is out this week - and the next 4 days will be tough - BUT - next week we are all IN for the whole week (barring sickness) so I expect to use next week to get everything caught up and DONE. I think Josh is out this week - so no management reports will be being asked for "yet"! LOL
Oh I meant to tell you all - my Planter Fasciitis is SO.MUCH.BETTER! Not sure what I did "differently" Sunday - but Monday and today it is so much more bearable! I know I was doing a lot of stretching in the pool Sunday, and yesterday I could "feel it" in my calves, almost like I had actually "exercised"...LOL... anyway... will continue with the arch supports - (Vionic sandals) and stretches, but it will be interesting to see what today - being on my feet all day - will bring for me!
Anyway - OK Gotta go...oops, missed my chance... UGH, Was going to get the salads done before Ken came down and the TV went on... Missed.My.Chance.!
Oh well - will check in later ♥hugs♥

Mornin' Christine... Good luck with those eval questions! Yikes! We have "chance" of showers on Thursday... but supposed to be Hot.Hot.Hot this coming weekend! I agree - let it rain... during the week...while at work - and give us the nicer weather over the weekends! LOL
Have a great day - sorry the blisters are still forming... OUCH... I was thinking they'd be about dried up by now! You poor thing! Still amazed that you can work through it all! No way could I do that! UGH! I am such a baby! LOL
♥hugs♥

Good morning! Plugging away after late meeting last night. We had a bit of disagreement in our rankings of the 4 candidates but eventually agreed on who to offer the job to and the second candidate if the first declines after hearing the salary.
Carole-sometimes those chores must be done and if you can do them when you have time vs when you don't but must then it seems easier. Yay to more water, we are moving into a heat wave here but cloudy this morning. We might be getting the leftovers of the tropical storm that hit New Orleans area.
Christine-sounds like a busy day with orientations. Yes, those sound like generic interview questions on the form. Glad to hear that blisters around eye are getting better.
It was one of those days when I couldn't decide what to wear!!! So I finally decided so now I have to get ready. My boss will be out for her daughter's wedding later this week and into next week, so I have to ask about printer availability in her office since that's where I can print to and I may be needing to find some of my Prof's pubs online to print.
Waving...try to BBL!

Morning all....up, enjoying a quiet cup of coffee before the rest of the house come down and things get hectic. I hear some one walking up stairs the boys are starting to stir in the bedroom....quiet won’t last much longer!
Had a nice lasagna dinner last night with a big salad....then out to have a camp fire and s’mores! The boys were so excited. Poor Kellen can’t have the marshmallows because of the expander on the roof of his mouth so he just set his graham cracker with he chocolate on the edge of the fire pit to melt the chocolate a little. He didn’t complain.
We have a rafting time of 11:00 am so we will be leaving here about 10:30 to arrive at the parking lot for transport up to the drop in point.....will pack some coolers with snacks, drinks and plenty of sunscreen and bug spray....not sure if the bugs will be out but not going without it, just in case!
Plan to do a BIG breakfast, “snacky lunch” and then home for an early dinner. Hannah & Shea are planning on a sunset dune buggy tour but not sure about Sarah and Josh?? It’s a little pricey! We’ll see....not sure Jason and I are going either but will see what the plans are for everyone else....it may be another all 11 of us excursion....who knows?? I’m good to go with flow!
Dinners and lunches until we leave will be cleaning up all the leftovers....quick and easy!
Time to start getting ready to head out for a “3 hour float”....ah, heaven!

Hey all. Hope all had had a good day. I was busy trying to catch up on invoices today. I keep putting it off and before I know it I have 2 months worth to do. DH called around 5:30 and asked how late I was working because he had a flat so I gathered stuff up to finish tomorrow.
I think I felt a little less tired today so that’s good. No I have never been diagnosed with blood sugar issues but it runs in the family and with this extra weight I am NOT getting off I am just wanting to be proactive and keep eye on it. It’s been a couple or three years since I’ve had a full blood panel done but I was actually exercising and eating good when I last had it checked. Really trying hard last couple days to track. Still need some improvements but I am actually making an effort.
Didn’t get mowing started since I had to help DH and when we got home I had to water my flowers so no time. My Jewlery party is now an online so I have to try and get some orders by Thursday. Not looking to good.
Ok it’s almost 10:30 and I need to get to bed. Will try to get here tomorrow
