Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Ruth - not a good time for a power outage. Was it because of the weather? Now that you have the construction dates you can focus on getting everything ready. I don’t think I could deal with being disrupted for any length of time. Are you going to have any of the girls staying with you during construction?
Too hot & humid today for my walk. I’ll get some indoor walking done today. Tomorrow it’s supposed to rain all day so I’ll probably do the same. And the end of the week is going to be hittong 90. Ugh! Not my favorite weather. I’m planning on a pedi on Thursday. Friday is our after work party. It’s held outdoors at a nice place downtown. I’m already dreading it because of the heat. But because I open on Saturday I can easily leave after a short appearance.
Yesterday I was alone at work from 4:30 on. I usually have someone with me until 6 or 7, so I wasn’t too happy. I let a lot of phone calls go, just because I was too busy to answer them. I hope they can see missed calls, I would love being called out on those.
Nothing much else going on. See ya later.

Good morning. Joy, you are getting our weather. We’ve been near 90 for most of the week. With very high humidity. It’s really uncomfortable. I should get Mara out for a walk today before it gets any hotter. We have a HUGE international (like 600 teams) soccer tourney going on here in the Twin Cities. It’s an annual thing and it’s often hot like this. They take lots of precautions for the kids. It’s kids from about 8 to high school age. Yes, apparently the power outage was due to downed power lines somewhere that knocked out a whole area. They said 35,000 homes were w/o power. Our power lines are buried, so not sure where it was. We have Mara during the construction process. I think 1 day next week, and a couple each of the other 2 weeks. We’ll make it work. We had her a lot during the painting and flooring process last summer, hopefully this should be easier. If the weather cooperates, we can get her out for walks, plaything in the backyard, maybe down to see Harper & Sawyer. I’m going to work on the closet during nap time today.
Why did they leave you alone so long yesterday? That doesn’t sound like a very good situation. Most of the car dealerships I have been in have someone manning the phones at all times. They direct calls to sales, service, financing, or wherever. Did someone call in sick or just not scheduled?
Need to get moving and get ready to go look at vanity lights. Haven’t done that yet. And I’m going to pick up some of the new handles for the vanity doors & drawers.
I will check in later. Have a good day all.

Sorry to be MIA but we have been real busy. Having a great time but eating is out of control. Bill’s family like to go out to eat a lot – too much – and besides the food not being all that healthy it is getting $$$. When we got here on Friday we drove almost 5 hours to get to their condo on Tablerock Lake. Bill’s DS and DBIL and one of his DB and his wife own this condo. We did a lot of talking and quite a bit of boating and swimming. This is a huge lake – over 800 miles of shoreline. On Saturday we boated to Arkansas – less boats there and calmer water and went swimming for an hour – the lake water is really warm. On Sunday we took a boat ride to a restaurant they like, the water was rougher because a storm was coming. I don’t like the bouncing around for hours and felt like I was getting sea sick. When we got back to the condo the rain started so we just put some music on and played cards.
Joyce, sounds like work was really hectic for you yesterday, sorry to hear they left you alone for so long. Hope you were able to get some walking in despite the rain. I hope the rain is headed towards New England, we really need some rain. Do you have a recipe for the pancakes you mentioned, if so would you mind sharing it?
Ruth, glad to hear everything is moving along for the bathroom remodel. Also sounds like a good chance to CBust some extra clothes, etc. Great that you were able to set a date to go visit with Carol, I’m sure you are looking forward to it.
I read the threads but can’t remember much. I should have time to get on the computer each day. Tomorrow we will help Bill’s sister get ready for a bar-b-que. His brothers, one cousin (he only has 2) and 2 of his nephews will be there – looking forward to seeing everyone. On Thursday we head to my sister’s house – only about 45 minute away and then will spend time with my family.
