Karen, thanks for the start. I hope the soreness has gone away. I had to water the potted plants yesterday but those in the ground were fine. Iggy is my hummus maker. If I want to record a workout on the Apple watch I have to start it before the exercise. If I don’t care it will just rack up activity minutes-maybe-if it feels like it. I never thought about freezing hot dogs. We could do that. Wow, on your album collection! A lot of our vinyl were scratched from playing them so often, so when we moved we kept only the unscratched ones. We still have a lot of cassettes and CDs. My car has a CD player but Iggy’s does not. The Volve had a cassette a d CD player. I loved it. I still have a boom box for the cassettes. We also have an old TV with a built in VCR player for that collection. Kathy, how is BIL today? I am so sorry to hear about his heart attack, mild or not, and am glad he didn’t have to have a stent put in. I am sure DS is worried. I don’t think that will go away. At least, it never did for me. I wish the best for all of you. Linda, did you get the blood circulating by chopping the tree some more? It is nice to have a house that allows for walking and step ups when it is too hazardous to go outside. I have been meaning to ask you if you have painted all your Schnauzers. Becky, how did you do last night? No more bites, I hope. Ants are the dickens to get rid of and I hope all yours are gone. Not much going on here. I made up a pan of firehouse enchiladas. I did a couple of veggie ones for me from leftover roasted veggies. All I have to do is bake them for dinner. It is leftovers for lunch. Easy peasy. I might clean the bathrooms later, but other than that no plans.

Karen, thanks for the start. Chele, I have to start an exercise if I want to record a workout on the Versa too. It has a selection of types of exercises and equipment to choose from or you can choose a generic activity. Otherwise, I think it only racks up activity minutes when you're above a certain heart rate. My DM loves hotdogs and she always freezes them. She only has them 2 or 3 times a year, so she doesn't even use up one pack. I haven't had one in years myself, but I did used to like the ones at the FSU stadium. They were really good, but were probably really bad for you.
I was glad my new car had a CD player since I think they're phasing them out. I have more than 200 CDs in my entertainment center and have more in some other places, so I'm not sure how many I have altogether. I pared down the vinyl when I switched to CDs. I got rid of my 8 tracks years ago since I don't have a player for them, but I still have a VCR player and some tapes. I never bought that many commercial cassettes, but I used to record them from my records to use in the car. The turntable arrived last night, but I haven't set it up yet. Those enchiladas sound great. Thanks for the good wishes. DBIL is home and doing really well, but I'm sure the worry won't go away for DS. They had a ridiculous experience with the hospital they went to. They wouldn't release him for 2 days due to waiting on a doctor to get there. I'm surprised that insurance didn't step in and speed the process up. When the doctor finally got there he wanted another test that they couldn't do at that hospital so they had to move him. The tests at the first hospital were negative, but the extra test did determine that he'd had the mild attack. So, he was in the hospital for 3 1/2 days instead of what should've been one day. He is in pretty good shape and runs regularly. They told him to continue with that. I haven't heard details yet, but I think DS said they recommended some dietary changes, so I'm curious to see what those are. Waving to all. Have a great Friday!

Kathy, sorry to hear about dbil's heart attack. They will have him lowering cholesterol and watching carbs. We cut more off the huge fluffy tree again. I need to get rid of some thin stuff underneath that gets no sun, then the next day get rid if a piece on the other tree that hangs over the lawn dropping stuff constantly. They are messy.
Micki got about 1/3 mile walk at 9 because it was cloudy but we came home hot from humidity.
No rain in sight and it is summer storm season.Sure do need it.
Made blueberry pancakes for breakfast...been wanting them, but unless I do it, it can't happen.DH used to cook a bit, but the benign inherited tremor is a problem. We have paintings of all six schnauzers since first puppy in 1975.
My Hyundai suv has no cd player...too bad. Would have to transfer to my ipod and plug it into aux.

Karen Thanks for the start. On my VS4 I always time my activities myself. It does pick up any minutes after 10 min or what you have it set for but I notice it doesn't always name the activity on the app.It doesn't have a symbol for a recumbent bike so I just use the walking symbol as I'm not going super fast like my old bike that quit working.
Chele No new ant bites but they are still sore.Kenneth got some ortho at WM today and sprayed under the windows outside so hopefully that will keep them at bay.I have not heard of firehouse enchiladas before.
Kathy That is a lot of CD's.I'm glad DBIL is home and doing well.I know your DS must still be worried. We women are worriers by gender I think.I'm glad the 2nd hospital found the attack but it is ridiculous to have to go to 2 hospitals.
Linda We could really use some rain too.Maybe the middle of next week we will get a little.
Waving to Karen and Liz.

Kathy, I'm shocked to hear about DBIL. I knew both he and DS are runners, so he's definitely not a slug. Does he have a family history of heart problems? Has he had cholesterol problems? That hospital deal sounds extremely frustrating. Like you, I'm surprised insurance didn't step in. I guess he will now be seeing a cardiologist and if he has any symptoms in the future, he'll go where the cardiologist tells him to and it shouldn't be a problem. As Chele said, the worry never really goes away. Your avatar is very reminiscent of our incident on Wednesday minus one coyote and the rack on the deer. LOL Haven't seen any deer around since that happened. I know there is a spike in the deer population, but there's also a spike in the coyote population, and they have no predators that I'm aware of, so thinning the herd my be giving Dale some target practice. Good thing we have lots of hungry vultures around here as well. When will you set up the turntable?
LOL on your hummus maker, Chele. I had a feeling it was a "who" and not a "what". What are firehouse enchiladas? I'll bet the roasted veggie version was good. What did you put in Iggy's? Do you have shiny bathrooms? That's a job I hate worse than vacuuming. I don't think we have gotten rid of any vinyl, so we have scratches and all. I also have a bunch of 45s. I remember when I a teenager, my DGM used to ask me every week what tunes I was listening to and then when she went to her favorite department store, which had a huge and varied music department, she would buy me several 45s just about every week. I used to listen to a lot of AM radio from places like Cleveland, Detroit and Windsor, Ontario, so I got into some of the bands unique to their region. My car has a CD player but it's never been used. I put my favorite music on a flash drive and have one for contemporary jazz, one for 80s, and one for Christmas tunes.
Linda, it must be pruning season in your yard. How were the pancakes? Can you make a large batch next time and freeze some for those times you want them and don't have the time or inclination to cook?
YAY on no new bites, Becky. As you know, it will take a bit of time for the bites to heal. What are you putting on them to help them along? If the Ortho doesn't work, get some Amdro. That's what we used to use in Austin and when fire ants got to NC, we went back to it. I figured out why my VS4 didn't recognize my exercise yesterday. I hadn't turned the elliptical trainer on as an automatic activity. We'll see on Tuesday if it recognizes. I used the other Garmin to swim today and did the start and stop manually when I did the Vibe this afternoon. It was nice to get credit for all my steps, which didn't happen when I used the Fitbit except when I was swimming. I haven't used the Pulse Ox function yet. The Sleep function is very different from what I had on the Fitbit. The Fitbit had me awake a bunch more than I thought I was. I think every time I turned over or moved, it recorded that as being awake. I've gone from an average of 58 minutes awake to 6 minutes with the Garmin. My only concern is that the band doesn't seem that sturdy.
Liz, I know you're glad it's Friday. How's the hip and leg? When does Zoe go back to the vet? When will you get the Alta HR up and running?
After I swam, I spent a good part of the morning in the kitchen. I made a couple of loaves of zucchini bread that didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. I was going to give a loaf to the neighbors but changed my mind. It's really heavy, a bit dry, and doesn't have much taste. I put a lemon glaze on it and Dale says the glaze has more taste than the bread, but he'll eat it. This was the recipe I was going to enter into the fair. So I may be changing my mind on that one. I also made a batch of fresh salsa that turned out well despite only having one pepper left from last week's CSA order. I also mixed up a batch of seasoning for scrambled tofu and will cook it up for breakfast tomorrow, along with hash browns and fruit. I do miss eggs every now and then and this is supposed to taste like eggs. Guess we'll see. Dale is going to run in the mountains tomorrow. Not sure what Sweet Potato and I might get into.

around here something always has to be pruned except during frost, but one needs to be careful not to prune too much in heat.

Linda, having those paintings of each schnauzer is really something to treasure. One of my great-grandmothers used to paint and as far as I know only one of her paintings survived. When I had my dad's slides digitized I was surprised to find he had taken pictures of some of her paintings, so at least we got to see them. Too bad the family up there didn't value them more and keep them.
Becky, it's really too many CDs and a sign that I need to clean out! My entertainment center has a big drawer under the TV section and that's where most of them are. I think you're right on women worrying more.
Karen, I don't know of a family history or cholesterol problems for DBIL, but his older sister had a pacemaker put in. My avatar is from a pic one of my neighbors posted. Those are the critters that ate my new plants, lol. I much prefer seeing them around to bears or gators though. I'll probably set up the turntable next week sometime unless I get some time this weekend. I eat eggs once or twice a week and would definitely miss them if I couldn't eat them at all. The scrambled tofu might come close with the right seasonings. I get tired of the same music on a playlist, so I like being able to play a new CD in the car. The CDs sound better than mp3s too. Guess I better enjoy that while I have this car!

I used a recipe from the Eating Well email I subscribe to and for me just threw in the veggies instead of meat. Here’s the link: Firehouse enchiladas
