No Excuses
* This is a daily thread for those who want to live by the philosophy that you CAN be ON PLAN EVERY DAY, whether you are doing SFT or counting points for ALL foods! * You aren't doing this to brag; you are doing it for YOU! Because YOU are WORTH IT and because WW has made this totally DOABLE! * WW gives you a lot of freedom and a LOT of options that make it quite possible to live this lifestyle EVERY DAY. * You know that this philosophy keeps you on the straight and narrow. If you give yourself an excuse to go off plan today, there will ALWAYS be another excuse tomorrow. * SO, there are NO EXCUSES!!! * This is your LIFESTYLE and it is a lifestyle you enjoy and you live it daily. * Hopefully your participation here will not only inspire YOU but will inspire OTHERS too! YES, you CAN!

57. Don’t assume that “natural” sodas containing fruit juice are lower in calories than regular sodas. Sometimes they actually have more calories—and only a modest amount of added nutrients. If you’re trying to cut calories, stick with plain or flavored seltzers, or mix them with juice.

I have not thought about soda for a long time. If/when I have one it is usually diet Pepsi when out and about. I have made grenadine and diet 7-Up in the past but for some reason fruit juice is not on my list of things to have in the house. That MIGHT change end of March when granddaughters are visiting, though

I don't drink soda at all anymore and sometimes buy the Poland Spring flavored seltzers - no sweetener real or artificial. I was on a kick for a while making a drink with Pom juice, seltzer, and orange juice. It was lovely. The Pom juice is costly and I do't drink fruit juices anymore either so I haven't had one of my "cocktails" in a long time. I made them for the ladies in my Book Group once too and they loved them. I do like kombucha and sometimes I "cut" it with seltzer to make it last longer.
Just back from seeing my grandsons. I was off all of this past week for Presidents Week. They were adorable! You must be looking forward to your girls coming, Cathy. It's the best!

It's been many, many years since I've drank soda regularly. I was drinking the 'flavored carbonated waters' for a while. But those were really just diet soda without the coloring. Now I often drink flavored seltzer without any sweetener at all.
